My father met two cardiovascular surgeons of a corporate hospital in Bangalore and trusted them like God . But finally, I had to bring back my father's dead body in coffin on 04/12/2019.
Lots of promises in the first sitting, but exposed the truth at the last moment when payment complete and when operations were just a few hours away leaving almost no scope to depart the hospital. Every moment I think why he didn't disclose the risk factors in the first meeting. Why did such renowned doctor take a month to discover about the fatalities of the double open surgeries of abdominal aortic aneurysm and Bypass in a single OT ?
Extremely tragic experience that I cannot forget till death.
Yet I am grateful to them that they didn't take the ventilation charges for 22 days . I am also grateful to a a Bengali lady doctor who had saved me from heart fail like situations in the ventilation room by giving me psychological supports.
No doubt, they are great. I have no enmity against them, but I always wonder with cold perspiration why he didn't mention a word of risk on 19/10/2019 , whereas, he knew the consequences.

Sir how future doctors become heart surgeon in india ?I mean what things we have to keep in mind?
I think we have to keep in mind that we have to give best service at low cost that each and everybody can afford it .and many should came in this medical field because we have great shortage of doctors and surgeon in rular area
More than half of our country population live in rular area and they can't afford such a expensive treatments and surgery so the taking inspiration from dr devi shetty I think we should work for those people who needed the most but can't afford it

Is cardiac surgery a dying field? I read some articles about this topic.
It said Because of interventional radiology and invasive cardiology , cardiac surgery is a dying field and it’s future is not bright. What do you think about this?
A heart trasplant Will be the future of the field. And interventional cardiology will not do it.
The innovations in IR and IC have impacted the field, most definitely, but there will always be patients who are too sick for minimally invasive techniques. As the previous user mentioned, heart transplant is a great example. Congenitally defected hearts is another example where sure there are some minimally invasive techniques like septal closures, but other defects like hypoplastic left heart syndrome, severe AS or AI kids who need a Ross, or transposition where surgery is necessary. In summary, as long as people are still being born with hearts there will always be a need for cardiac surgeons. I am not an expert, however, so this is solely my take on the matter. I hope this has provided a little insight.

Why doesn’t the government invest in HEART hospitals throughout India if we are lacking care for 1,9 million Indians per year out of 2 million ???
Instead of spending on Temples, Statues and fancy parliament buildings, it should be spent to improve public health and SAVE LIVES !!!
Religious ethics for Temples and Statues, I am not an atheist nor a fully immersed bhakt but I do believe there is god.
1.There are many, many people who prefer the chants and visit to temples rather than doctors in india thinking it would help any minor or slightly major avoidable cost for the problem they suffer
2. The only role politicians play are building Private Hospitals and earn money through middle class family's donations and Destroy the dreams of a boy who gave Neet and Got a Rank of 50001 (non eligible for gov seat)

The government also spends for haj,jerusalem pilgrimage but u pesudos always mention temples. And fyi all heart surgeries are free of cost in government hospitals . First do all people pay proper taxes like scandinavian countries to expect the government to give free Healthcare to all?
@@ichigokurosaki8980 there is no pilgrimage to "Jerusalem" funded by the Indian government or any state government. There used to be a subsidy for Haj, which was just a discount on air travel tickets of Air India, which was stopped by Modi Govt. in 2018. Surgeries are free of cost but patients will have to pay for OT and bear expenses of other medical facilities used, including medicine. So it's not entirely free. You're right in one thing, Indians don't pay taxes as much as people of Scandinavia do..here people preach deshbhakthi without doing basic duties towards their country as a citizen. The ultra rich can steal money from the government, pay no taxes and escape the country with no consequences. Such a great governing system and politicians we have haha.
Because we don't simply have enough trained workforce willing to work for a meagre government salary.
Utopian dreams based on bird's eye view that economy of nation does not influence the cost of health care in developing nations.another rather false claim is that digital rather than physical presence can be equal in icu care.forgotten is the large majority of patients,neglected rather outside due to the mere population and needy patients among 135 crores.at least ten times the patients(much more in fact truly) are out side even this low cost care. reality is much worse in india than confidently rather claimed not only quality wise but also quantity wise. Be true to the science and statistics please.

My mom 76 year old Medical doctor had a (Open Heart Surgery) Valve replacement done by Shree Dr Devi Prasad Shetty Sir in Jan 2020.
Day before yesterday we went for revisit and met Shree Dr Varun Shetty Sir.
I felt the same Vibes and Respect for Shree Dr Varun Shetty Sir as same as Shree DPS.
Their Value system is non depleting, superb 👏👏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Please don't advise any patient to choose the particular corporate hospitals of South India for major surgeries.
Let's see how the so called great cardio surgeon of South India misguided my innocent father to a disgraceful death .
Infact we encountered with five unknown mysteries there in his corporate hospital in South India.
1. He rejected the most safe advice of his own another cardiologist who recommendedw the stent grafting of Abdominal Aerotic Aneurysm then and Bypass a month later .
2. He recommended the most fatal double open surgeries of abdominal aortic aneurysm and Bypass together with lots of high promises without discussing any word of risk on 19/10/2019 .
3.He didn't mention the fatal recommendations in his prescription.
4. He called me alone on 11/11/2019 to tell me about only 20 percent risk when payment was already made signatures and blood almost arranged just a few hours before Operations leaving a very little options to come out of the hospital at that critical moment .
5. At 8 pm on the day of operation his assistant told me that operation was successful, but just next morning he told that yet another operation Cholestomy will have to be done as my father had gangrene in the intestine. But in their own multiple test reports there was no trace of gangrene . In fact my father had no pain or discomfort in his abdomen.
During 22 days in the ventilation two other operations like Treakestomy and Thoracentesis totalling 5 open surgeries were done besides blood infection and septicemia.
On 03/12/2019 my father expired and they handed over the body the next day . But we find no name or signature of the surgeon in any of the medical documents handed over on 04/12/2019.
Sir, yes we had one fault that my innocent father trusted this award winning cardiologist more than the previous surgeon who was guiding us in correct and safe directions.
My father would not have died if he had mentioned the deadly recommendation of double open surgeries in the prescription because other doctors whom we consulted later would have alerted us about the highest risks.
My ex-serviceman father , who faught the war of 62 and 71 ,would not have agreed of surgeries at the age of 75 if he had disclosed the risk factors well in advance before taking package amount and before admission to hospital .
I think no surgeon on earth will recommend the double open surgeries of abdominal aortic aneurysm and Bypass without discussing its complications.
Sir, have you ever heard of such evil incidents that blind fold innocent patients to the valley of death ?
Please note that we returned home on 21/10/2019 because my father was afraid of enduring too much pressure of big surgeries at this advanced age, but during a week we got two phone calls from the hospital promising all possible assistance. In this way they had infused pseudo confidence in my 75 yr old father.
However, I don't doubt the expertise of the very surgeon who won accolades from both home and abroad. Almost all the times of the day I think why he didn't mention about the highest risk factors in the first sitting. Is it called the Corporate Ethics, Sir ?
I shall have to repent throughout my life why I went all the way to the South ignoring the hospitals of Kolkata where my father would've availed much better, sensible and well discussed treatments.
I wept and prayed in the four different prayer halls for 22 long days. But the inconsecrated idols didn't bother to grant my prayers.
Are not the series of incidents full of uncanny mysteries in a corporate hospital where the blatant cheating continued from the popular cardiovascular surgeon and ended with the driver of the ambulance carrying coffin :-
a) I had to pay more than five lakh to the hospital where the careless surgeon knew that the patient would die after the multiple fatal surgeries, but he didn't disclose the fact before taking package amounts.
b) A staff of Social Work section of the hospital took Rs.500/- on 04/12/2019 in the Police station premises citing the inter state clearance for the transportation of dead body .
c) The person who was preparing the body for coffin suddenly came out with blood - smeared hand to demand tips .
d) The ambulance driver who carried the coffin to Bangalore Airport didn't spare me to realize a lumpsum amount of tips even when I was running short of money and weeping how I would take the lifeless body of my father from Bangalore to Bengal .
Yet, I witnessed two positive aspects of the hospital. First a Bengali lady doctor gave psychological support during my two time daily visit to the ventilation for 22 days when I suffered stroke like conditions three times there when my father's conditions were being deteriorated. She frequently, alerted me to stay strong, otherwise, my relatives will have to come to bring home two dead bodies.
Secondly, the hospital didn't take the ventilation charges of 22 days from me , otherwise, I would have to sell my kidneys there to get my father's body released from the morgue.
In fact, I don't harbour any hatred or enmity against the particular surgeon and the hospital, but I have happened to express my unforgettable tragic and painful experience with them whom my departed father had regarded as God and lifesaver.
