For those that don't understand how the principal suddenly knew to call the cops, observe Maddie's dance. Look at her body language. As the dance begins she is fragile and meek, conserving her energy and moving in smaller movements. As the dance progresses, she reaches out more and more passionately, almost desperately. The principal is watching this dance, and can feel that something isn't right. Finally, her performance comes to an end, with Maddie facing her principal, looking dead in her eyes and extending her hands to her. Look at her eyes. She used her eyes and body movements as a desperate plea for help. That was how the principal knew the rumors and accusations had to be true and she took the appropriate action (action that should've taken place much sooner but actions nonetheless).

I love how the bond between Henry and his mom is so strong, he can talk to her and know her responses, her thoughts and feelings. the timing between his words and her responses hit so hard. wish I was that close to my mom.
Good movie, but the part where Henry's mother becomes some sort of assassin, buys a sniper rifle and plans to kill the child abuser with it is just ridiculous.
She relied on her son
He paid taxes and did most stuff for her whilst she'd played games on the console she'd originally bought for him. She thought this was a thing she had to do for him, listening to him and doing exactly as he says and that he knew exactly what he was doing/ what she was supposed to do.
She blindly trusted him, following his pre-recorded instructions thinking he was right(which he clearly wasn't, killing someone is never the way to go) until realisation hit her after seeing those pictures of him over the years.
Sooo it does make sense in a way.

@@didiidk4981 I know killing is bad, but everybody respected the man, they wouldn't have believed in the girl, and neither in the mom, they had no proof against the man, just what her little dead kid suspected btu court doesn't work with that. Even if they had proof the police would've covered everything, and would've probably threated the mother by saying that they could take the little boy (the only son she had alive the only one left, her little son) apart from her if she kept talking and helping the girl. EVEN that man would've done that on his own. Killing is bad, but they had no other choice, justice would have helped the man instead of the girl. that's how the world works when it comes to this kind of man, he knows people he has important friends. The girl needed to be saved and no one else would've helped her

I don’t know what you don’t understand soooo... I’ll try to explain it all I guess.
Basically, the principal wasn’t convinced of the abuse until she watched Christina dance. The principal saw the emotions Christina portrayed, and realized that maybe his was really happening right under her nose.
Henry’s mom, on the other hand, was going to listen to Henry and kill Christina’s stepfather, but after seeing the pictures of Henry she realized that though Henry was a genius he was still a child and he didn’t know quite everything yet. Henry’s mom realized that she was the adult, not Henry, and that she shouldn’t have relied on him to make all of her decisions. So, for once, she goes against Henry’s advice.
when you thought that finally Maddie would not be dancing but-
would you imagine that part when the photos were finally out was like a henry's kind of "signal" that tell her mom no to do it

SHE was in the whole movie, and danced like 1 minute. If it was only for her dancing she wouldn't have got it, she is an awesome dancer, but the movie is not based on dancing, so it wasn't just because of that

Leonor Távora she’s not awful sweetie... she’s as good in acting as in dancing that’s why she’s amazing she tells story through her movements and expressions. That’s why abby always favored her. she doesn’t have the best technique but the way she tells her story with her face is just flawless. And also why u talking about this amazing talanted girl who got famous with her hard work like that when u are probably laying on your bed everyday, doing nothing but eating chips.

This movie is good, just kinda... distasteful. Like seeing a kid coming up with a plan to murder someone, even if they are technically doing wrong, is just weird and doesn’t feel right. Also it’s very contrived as to why that’s “the only option.”

Dude you people be talking so much about her dancing so much in movies and shows and that movies will try to find a way to make her dance, but like the director could’ve chosen someone else and probably still would’ve made them dance as well. Dancing is like painting and singing, it’s a way to express your emotions and show your feelings that you didn’t know you had. The character was expressing her emotions on being abused by her father obviously in a way where she doesn’t have to use her words because sometimes the best way to feel comfortable about confessing to something is in a more symbolic way and which literally most viewers IGNORED cuz they still be thinking about Dance Moms even though the movie has nothing to do with that show at all.
