I am a complete T-6 paraplegic and this is how it happened. Things I forgot to mention is that during my crash I broke 3 vertebrae, 2 ribs, and my sternum. Thank God no brain damage.

When you said "All these things had to happen", the term is "it was a perfect storm"....if one thing had been different, it would have been averted. I understand why people love motorcycles but as a driver of a car, driving with motorcycles around scare the crap out of me. I am so scared of getting too close to the person driving the motorcycle.
Same. Whenever I see a motorcycle or even a cyclist, I slow down and am super cautious for their benefit. I don't care if it makes OTHER people mad. If I can help save somebody's life by being extra cautious, so be it!

My husband’s cousin (they were more like brothers and best friends) died on 5th Nov 1997. He was riding his bike. He was doing under the speed limit. Just a freak accident and wrong place, wrong time!
i wish you nothing but success and healing in your journey but the chewing of the gum throughout this video makes it hard to listen to and concentrate i would ditch the gum and camera angle for your follow up videos

Bad things happen when you don’t listen to your mother. And FYI, 70-80 mph is NOT a “normal” speed, and totally opening up the throttle is just insane. Inattention while riding even at normal speeds will inevitably result in injury or death. It is only by the grace of God that you survived.

You mention this occurred in November, living in the Midwest during winter season I always question why anyone would ride their bike let alone their motorcycle on possible icey roads which many times cannot be seen? But I'm a pedestrian so I'm sure I'm looking through this from another perspective... 🧐

Im a biker ,nt had a bike for years but rode everywhere for years, everyone falls off once is a phrase i was told. Which i did but at low speed,.still went unconscious to waking with someone looking over me like you descibed.. But my comment was to do with the fixation thing becz i remembr commonly riding towards the bollards when unsure to exit a junction or not and you end up ,for some unknown reason riding at the central station 😂 seems mad but you just do and wondered whether that is the thing ur describing?
It helped a lot, more then I can explain. My religion is a huge factor in my recovery. No anger at all towards God, what happens, happens. No you got to get up and roll with the punches

70 is the speed limit on the freeway, open throttle is 170 with that bike

I can't recommend you to get a bike but if you do, start slow. get a 250 or 300cc bike,
