(Im my pre Lil Jon voice). 3000 didnt say "ATL got somthing to say" or "Georgia got something to say". No...he said "the SOUTH got something to say and our Southern pride went through the roof! Back then it wasn't cool to be country especially from our Northern family members and friends!

I don't know how anyone didn't listen to their first CD and not know instantly how dope they were. I'm from LA and Deathrow was my soundtrack to my youth but it didn't mean I couldn't see outkast as just as dope and gangsta as the dogg pound( at the time).
I had the score on repeat. I wasn’t feeling the back then and had to go back a decade later and figure out why. There were some northern sounds that didn’t agree with me initially like that first Ghost or 50’s first album and a few others.

I remember watching this, and if i’m not mistaken, it was in 1995 Source awards, this is also the same source awards when OutKast got onstage after winning multiple awards and pretty much put the “South” on map in the rap game by saying “The South got something to say” and they’re there to make money and ignore the beef between other artists that was going on.
