    i have so much respect for Big Boi for sticking by andre and accepting/embracing his creativity. So many street rappers would be quick to distance themself for fear of being labeled gay or weird.

      Big Boi knows Dre has always been different he just expressed it more as he got older. Big Boi is very creative himself and thinks outside the box so I don't think he was putting up with Dre being so creatively different like some may think. I think they are a true hip hop yin and yang type Duo that compliments each other.

      I was in a grade school like that, way back in the day. That was the ONLY time that I enjoyed school and got straight-A's.... because the teachers allowed us to be creative, as long as we paid attention in class and produced.

    I fucking love Outkast, they get bumped on the regular still. I'm a truck driver and sometimes have an Outkast day and do all the albums start to finish. That's always a good day.

      Man, that’s how I feel about Stankonia. On release day I hated it. Listening to it again, just wasn’t getting it. All of a sudden like, as a whole, it became my favorite OutKast record. Even more than ATLiens. Over 20 years later I listen to that album at least once a month.

    Andre is cool as everything. Dude is just an original type of dude. Great rapper even better artist . Ignorant to think someone is gay because of how they dress or the art they put out . Many top rappers will tell you that Andre is their favorite rapper and in their top 5 list . Andre is the man and OutKast is one of the best rap groups ever . All respect and admiration to them

      Word up..frfr I was one those kids that grew in those same projects Andre3000 grew up there were a lot of peers that didn't make it..(unfortunately) but it's life..Always made me proud to bump Kast knowing that grew up in the same neighborhood..the Struggle was REAL & Still is LoL.

      yes, responding to Sunny Moon's 2yr old comment, but Outkast IS everlasting, Aquemini is angelic sounding at times, & 'Da Art P1' is one of the smoothest tunes I can think of! So glad, Dre's mom exposed him to diff stuff, cause just like myself, a white dude from the Savannah area, brought up on everything from Nat King Cole, Gladys, Kirk Franklin to NOFX, Bad Religion and in between! It just makes one more whole. Seeing we're all very much the same! Loved these dudes from 1993 and still do!

      Aquemini is my fave hip hop album of all time and probably the only hip hop album I can stick on and listen, from beginning to end, without having an urge to skip a track.
      Its rare to find albums like this, most especially rare to find hip hop albums like this.

    Just saw this doc. Lifelong OutKast fan.
    I had the immense fortune to meet Dre (sadly it was at St. Joseph's hospital on an elevator so not the best place to converse), but I got to tell him how much he influenced my music and what an inspiration he was. Super chill and nice dude.

    I was born in Brunswick, Ga. About five hours from the A, I've been with outcast since Southern Playalistic Cadillac Funky Music,all the way to Hey Ya. They probably saved my life and inspired the hell out of me on a multitude of levels. All I have to say is, they will live on forever and it'll never be done like that again.

    Stankonia deserved Album of the year, I think the Grammys were too afraid to give it to them so they hit em up on the next album. Nothing against speakerboxx/lovebelow but Stankonia was a much better album w more hits and huge risks that paid off.

    i was with them until they said outkast was the birth of southern music. I'm from this era and geto boys is the first southern group to get play followed by ugk, mjg, and outkast. it was a collective effort

    I sat in my porch with my friends and I entire summer playing Southerplayalistic continuously. The entire project was 🔥. I have been in love with them since the begining and there will NEVER be another sound like theirs.

    I'm proud of them. Andre sort of reminds me of ME! being different, not wanting to be a stereotype and big boi was my mates! Who stood by me no matter what people said about me , in a black music industry which is insecure of sexualities or just being different, they did it perfectly! And the world loved them for it.     I remember the first time I heard Outkast in my girlfriend’s car. It was so different from anything I had heard. I was a BIG James Brown fan and I’ll never forget seeing them on stage together. I rejoice they followed their passion through adversity.

    Outkast is my favorite Rap Group of all time I listen to them when I was a kid I would like to thank them for their music and making me the person who I am today. I hope if they put Outkast in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and that will make me very happy.
