Is so sad that the time is not a good friend for everybody. I got memories since I was 14 yrs old I start listen Malo music and still love and My skin bristles.❤️❤️
Dang, I miss the live music, Redwood City Palo Alto Hayward Catsro Valley venues. Jorge looked so good and healthy, RIP, and yes the horn section, one of the best! 2021 music scene to return slowwly but surely
I do too. I was a full time musician in the Bay Area back in the 70 and 80's. Playing 5 and 6 nights a week was common and there were plenty of clubs and venues to keep a good band very busy without having to travel too far ( over nighters)
Michael Martinez your uncle is a baaaaaaad man on the guitar brotha I’ve been watching that man shred the hell out these songs since I was a kid and I’m 35 now he’s definitely legendary in my opinion
what a band!!! I was listening them the end of seventies every night and day, unlucky I lost LP from them, but happy to see them here on youtube..Thanks for this music and video!!!
The original Malo brass section something to behold and the percussion section was wicked. Checkout Oye Mama on Malo Dos. Richard Kermode fiery piano was electrifying RIP bro
Badass ,badass ,badass, I love this song ,lv u guys. 1972 San Antonio Tx I was in a band called Sangria black loved playing this song.ill never forget Ledro Uriegas nailing those trumpet parts along with the rest of the brass section
I love this band, and this is a great recording. The horns sound great and the band is clearly enjoying themselves a great deal. It's funny that Malo doesn't get remembered as a horn band along with groups like Dreams, BST, Cold Blood and so on. (no I'm not trying to start an arguement about who's better, so don't) Malo had a killer horn section. Luis Gasca played with them for a while. The trumpet here had some real nice high notes. Zarie
Oh..wow....When that first album hit...all of us Latinos here in Texas went nuts..My favorite is their 3rd album Evolution...Is that Sheila E behind the congas? Her brother was on the original Malo album
En pleno concierto (ZOCALO CD. MEX. )...Carlos Santana expreso que en esos momentos VEIA MUCHOS **ANGELES** cosa innedita..tal vez por quee..esta profetizado quee..en y de la CD. MEX. surgira el que movimiento filosofico quee cambiara al mundom
Unfornately Nena hit big before the so called Salsa. East L.A. chicano culture of music was big . This is not a underground movement like hop hop. this is the real deal.
@dragonkukuta ok tiene una ragione, quale, amore? Anyway my prefered sound from the seventies till now,Jorge & carlos Santana, togheter with El Chicano,Azteca,Jose' Chepito Areas ex timbalist of Carlos.Sound that influenced my music!!!
I don't know if it's just me, but doesn't the lead singer look like JOE AVILA that use to cut your hair at his barber shop across the street from CHUCK WAGON in SANGER, CALIFORNIA ?
Doesn’t get any better than this. God bless Jorge and all the band. X
High school memories! Love this song!
One of the best live performances ever. Would love to see more from this gig.
Is so sad that the time is not a good friend for everybody. I got memories since I was 14 yrs old I start listen Malo music and still love and My skin bristles.❤️❤️
The HORNS are FUNKY SICK!!!!! They just BLOW for days, you just can't help but feel 'em.
Horn section , percussion and piano on Oye Mama is as good as it gets.
Dang, I miss the live music, Redwood City Palo Alto Hayward Catsro Valley venues. Jorge looked so good and healthy, RIP, and yes the horn section, one of the best! 2021 music scene to return slowwly but surely

Jorge is far from Legendary. Cannot even hold the jock strap of a 10 year guitarist .
That solo on Cheo Feliciano’s El Raton with the Fania AllStars is memorable Without a doubt burning ….
All I hear is Noise, and not music at all.
I was backstage at this concert at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City my uncle Gabriel is the lead guitarist in Malo it was great to see him perform!
