I painted your wonderful tutorial and I love the results. You described how to paint the middle medallion of your purple ornament very well and mine looks good too. Thanks so much. I will be watching g and hoping for more tutorials.
Beautiful. I’m going to try this one I think. And I’m subscribing. The only thing is I wish that your tutorial would go into more detail on what I think is the hardest part of the painting. The main feature ornament with that center of radiating colors I don’t know how to do that. And how do you actually do the shape of thar ornament? It truly is a beautiful painting. Thanks for posting. I’ll be watchingfor your posts.
Thanks for your comment and subscription! I hope I can answer your question for the center of the ornament. I used the wet on wet technique, painting clean water only in the center circle of the ornament. i then dropped in colors and let them blend into the water. I used the same purple and blue that was in the ornament. Let it dry completely, i then used Dr. PH Martin bleed proof white to paint a starburst effect from the center. After that dries, I added metallic gold watercolor around the circle and in the center. The shape of the ornament I drew freehand, but you could make a template from a folded piece of paper or cardboard on half then unfold for a uniform template. Use that to outline in pencil. I hope that is clear and is some help to you. Let me know if it works for you!
@@bswiftart1472 I would have never guessed that was how you painted the inside of your feature Christmas bulb. I am going to try that. Your description was very clear. And if I will post a picture of the results here. Probably not today but soon🌸

@@BarbaraSwift-b8v how would I get it to you? I don’t think I can post it as part of a comment on UA-cam? Do you have a Facebook or instagram site?
I just found you on Facebook and posted a photo of the painting I did on your most recent Facebook post.
