I really like this trap idea. Doesn't look like much effort to make and you should be able to make a couple of these without spending too much energy. Just brilliant!
Mark Hillen I have a snake trap come visit my channel its called the asian trail spring trap it killed everying from snakes squirrels lizards even small birds, Its similar to Mrs dave canterbury trap.
Greetings! I've just subscribed to your channel, I'm really impressed, and interested by what you're doing here! I see only one problem when you use this trap, it kills, and in jungle, dead animals are rotting very quickly, if I'm right? Why not make a "retention snare" to trap the animal and just lock it alive inside? What do you think about it? (English is not my native language, don't hesitate to correct me if I'm not right). Peace. :)
+D_ Ax Hey, yeah I think that is a good idea, would be a little cruel to lock a mongoose in a piece of bamboo, but as long as you get it relatively quickly. I do have a few traps that retain animals/turtles in the pen so that you can keep them until you need them...primitive refrigeration type thing. Good thinking and thanks for watching.
+Mike l Hey mike, all I can tell you is that people use this in South East Asia, which i do mention...I have no idea who invented this probably was thousands of years ago. Thanks for watching.

Hey Tom, How about a snake trap? Can a snake pull out of a simple wire snare? Do you have any snake traps to share?

So what happens, animal suffocates or neck snaps? Is it instant?
Vic N I'd say it suffocates bit depends on your snare

Ingenious, the same can be done in a temperate climate with a white ash growth-ring and splint. I am going to try this, thank you :)
