Sarah (Squirm) hosted and performed at a showcase held at the Empty Bottle in Chicago pre COVID. It was so wonderfully bizarre that I LOVED it! Been very pleased with her stuff that's gotten on SNL thus far. Very cool that she made it on this podcast!
Goddamn she says "like" so much
I like couldn’t like finish like this like episode and stuff.
Great interview, Dan Bulla and Sarah Sherman are really charming together as a team and this made we want to go back and watch these sketches they describe
The intro was accurate.
Like like like like like like like
you liked it?...too many for me.
@@lt.columbo5919 I'm pretty sure he's quoting the guest.
I try very hard to not mind that SO MANY people of a certain age group say that word so often. I fail. Often. 😂
@@amylynnhunt55 These "like" people have made their way into law schools by the thousands...we try and train them to delete that word from their vocabulary...they don't...and these folks want to be respected when they charge $600 an hour?...I demand mature, literate professional people if I'm paying that kind of money...I'm not sitting with a professional who speaks like some dork panhandling in front of a 7-11.
Charlie Kaufman was a writer in Dana Carvey Show I wish the invite him to the podcast to talk about his memories with Dana.
Body Heat was actually William Hurt not Nick Nolte. 😊😊 LOVE THE SHOW!
Not a good guests at all but still love hearing dana and spade so still a win when they r in it
"When we were on the road.... Dana, is it?"
Dana and David…love y’all and your show but I couldn’t deal with the “likes” within the first five minutes and had to bail!😐
Yup!!!...Wish that a producer would have stopped the podcast and given the woman some guidance...very unprofessional...and it makes the woman look STUPID and UNEDUCATED.
@@lt.columbo5919what? Everyone’s a critic
@@demitasse22 they're allowed opinions. Not just the positive ones. This show has set such a high bar, I think this was a bit disappointing.
I made it to 14: 46, but mostly because I was reading comments 😂😂😂
@@amylynnhunt55 they’re actually not
Suzi Quatro, a total rocker and early adopter of rebellious consonants, played Leather Tuscadero on the r a c y Happy Days sitcom 10,000 pound gorilla of the 70s.
Ms. Sherman does have a bit of that look.
Has she gone steady with The Fonz too?
💯
Sarah’s mullet + aviators = Billie Jean King, not Klute 😎
I gotta side with you over Spade on this one. Total and compete Billie Jean King...based on the thumbnail still.
👍
She smells like dirty socks.
I thought he was channeling old school Dennis Miller with that line 😂
@@robertpfeiff directly from joe dirt
No need to smash that like button, Sarah's got it covered!
51:25
😮oh the nineties nick stuff being an influence on Sherman makes sense. She's got SpongeBob energy for sure
If I had a daughter it would be SARAH. She'd probably drive me crazy but I think it would be fun.
If you murdered her...the Police would understand.
sarah will be the next kate mckinnon on snl
Did Vanessa Beyer and this woman go to the same primary school?
Unlistenable beyond 3 minutes.
Dan Bulla and Billie Jean King!
Sarah is like... one of the female like... cast members on like.... Saturday Night Live who has like... funny characters which like... make me like... laugh.
drove me crazy...hard for me to take anyone seriously who...like...can't speak LIKE an adult.
I can’t finish the show. Too many "like”s.
@@melissamckay9265 same here. She's a funny lady but come on.....
Oh nooo😬ok maybe I shan’t listen.
Yeah damn
Love the podcast. But this was a swing and a miss. Had to bail about halfway through. I can understand why the current iteration of SNL isn't funny. Hopefully you can get back on track next episode.
When I first watched this latest cast for the first time, I told my wife that this chick was the best of the bunch. I mean the others are very good, however her sense of humour is right up my ally.
Sarah is really clever and talented.
Oof, this one was a snooze fest. Dana was doing a lot of heavy lifting to try and keep it entertaining
I totally agree!!!!
Never heard of her, and she seems nice....but it was like pulling teeth getting info out of her.
I couldn't hear her laughing at hardly anything. Couldn't really hear her really adding much to anything. It's like she wasnt even there.
She wasn't really talking much. More answering questions.
Hmmmm did not motivate me to watch any of her scetches
spade crushing on sarah, stay in your lane dude.
They interrupted the guests too much , as usual
That is an every episode thing.
Sarah shares a very specific lane with Sarah Silverman: conventionally beautiful women who rock fugly hair/wardrobe and slay with comedic choices that no one sees coming
Hi 👋
If Dana Carvey wants to go back to SNL and work with Sarah, given her style of humor, I foresee the return of massive head-wound Harry.
🙏
Saw that live. My brother and I were rolling. I was probably 11 or 12. Back then some of the jokes, if not most (let’s not kid ourselves lol) we didn’t get, however physical comedy was are thing. That was perfect.
She's totally gonzo. Great performer!
Second!!!!!
Sometimes she's really funny, but sometimes she's mostly just loud. Like Leslie Jones but with 1/5th the body mass 😂
3rd lol
I'm sorry she's not funny and one of the main reasons snl is bad . One play poney loud and bad writing.
100%
Sarah has been a hilarious addition to SNL and has given new life into a stagnant show in my opinion. It’s too bad she suffers from performance anxiety because she’s killing it.
LOL @ “breath of fresh air”. This season was lowest rated in the entire history of the show. This nerdy broad isn’t funny and neither is the other wimpy writer on this episode.
Dana talks about craft, yet David keeps bringing it back around to looks. This has been the only episode that was too creepy to finish.
OMG I love this woman, super neurotic to the max
Like, this like, episode, is like, pretty like, insufferable.
The SNL casting director really sucks right now and for the past 10 years. They don't cast male comedians well at all ever since the days of bill hader and jason sedakis. It's like they intentionally picked confident women and boyish half-funny men. Whoever it is is leaving a lot of funny people in the wind and hiring a lot of relatively not so funny people who never say anything offensive... honestly it looks like every 2nd comedian is a diversity hire also. Pretty lame time period for SNL when it comes to actual funniness. A for social justice, B- for comedy. Get back to comedy 1st! It's the only way to survive without lorne
My version of the perfect SNL is 1988-1996 (seasons 14-21) : there are three distinct cast shifts in that time frame, but the tone of the show was just spot on, perfect balance of silly dark and weird. I did not think the show was as good after those years , very generic comedy I think, with some bright spots in the 2007 cast, BUT I say the show has been consistently good in my opinion since 2013... silly dark and weird (social justice you probably mean that one skit that was highlighted on the news) So I disagree. The past decade is top shelf in my opinion, top notch male and female performers all around.
@@Lillypurcell231 Original SNL is fantastic, I loved the "ringers" year, 1984; I think, when Billy Crystal and Martin Short and Christopher Guest were part of the cast. I missed a lot during University, then it seemed like everyone was walking around the campus saying MAKING COPIES 😂😂 (1990 and or 1991) So when I finally got to see that season it was fun.
It is surprising that the same person is running the show. Female comedians who only talk about men being jerks but why can't they get a date..... zzzzz
There have been excellent seasons with truly funny women who showed up and wrote funny stuff. Tina Fey, Amy Poehler. I know I'm forgetting a lot, but I appreciate the women who don't get stuck in talking about sex and body parts and Boo hoo, why doesn't anyone want to date me? 😂😂
Lol what a rancid comment section.
Because we are nuts past our expiration date? 😂😂😂😂😂
This person
Not this girl or woman
Lol the world today...
Can't stand them
Their upspeak?
Like seriously
Omg?
Is it tiring to fall for manufactured outrage? To be told what to be upset at? What do you truly lose if someone says “this person”? I’m 50 and I’ve say “that person over there” or “this person just told” well before social media and 24 hour opinion-“news” cycles controlled people’s epistemology. Besides, having just finished this episode, they referred to Sarah as “she” several times….in case you missed it being grumpy….lol…
I call everyone either “babe” or “dude” no matter how they identify. I call anyone over 70 years old, “my nigga”.
@@thelostone6981 I am very grumpy its true hahaha
Still can't stnd them idk exactly what u mean by being told what to be upset at.
I'm the furthest from being connected to the world
Don't have social media don't watch TV
Don't really go out much now in my mid 30s
I'm happy with my wifey
And just got no patience for the bullshit of this world.
Manufaxtured outrage or whatever u said?
Lol i dont think so.
Soooooo thanks for playing anyway
@@vistalitelol nice one
There is so much to like about her but she gives me creepy AOC vibes. Soviet American Propagandist vibes.
For that moronic comment, You Win ..... *American Idiot of the Day* ..... Congratulations James!
You know what's funny about these 2 guests?
Not Much.
Spent an hour talking about 2 Sketches , that aren't even Memorable, much less Humorous.
They come off very Comedically Entitled.
Dave brings up Molly Shannon ( a HYSTERICAL LEGEND) not being at Sandlers Mark Twain Award, and Sarah just says, " What about me?"
What about you?
Thank you for saving me more time. I'm fourteen minutes in and really glad I came to read comments.
why am i watching?i find her humour a bit absurd.
I don't get her humor. Maybe also the age difference? I'm 48 and love the Phil Hartmann, Dana, Chris Rock, Chris Farley... era
@@adorable3817 I’m 50 and I find her hilarious. It’s been nice to have something different. But let’s be honest, comedy is subjective and get that she not everyone’s cup of tea.
It was very hard to believe these people wrote anything. I could not listen after a few minutes into the interview...I have never heard anyone use the word "like" so much. It became just unlistenable.
