Our Story:
We are six years into a seven year effort of transforming 20 acres of "Piney Grove" in Northwest Florida into our dream homestead/mini farm to be filled with animals and joy. We plan to have a variety of miniature critters on our pastures, raise free-range chickens, grow fish in our pond, garden, plant fruit and nut trees, and harvest wild game. Our goal is
to escape the stresses of corporate life and embrace all that country living
has to offer as we enter the next chapter of our lives. Follow along on our

Brad & Deb
That feed really does take so much of the work out of it. Looks like you have lots of great help around Piney Grove! Livin' the good life!
You need a hydro in-feed!
You have proven you can learn to drive anything. You will get it, Deb. Family is on your mind, not equipment. Hard to focus, but oh boy, it sure is worth it to have them visite.
The garden is looking protected from weeds, Brad.
It was fun and heartwarming to watch Amanda daring to try wood chipping for the first time. Zack and Rowan had fun and you got some help.
This is a beautiful video!
Thanks for the kind words! Everyone got in on the action that day!
That wood chipper was such a great investment!! Great video Brad and Deb!!
Yes it was! Thanks for watching!
Love the excitement you have each video Brad, it is contagious and it's engaging. Love Piney Grove and you all are making great progress!
Glad you like them! I really do like using that chipper!
Garden is looking great!
I found backing up a Semi Trailer is a lot easier than backing up a small, shorter trailer like your Dump Trailer ( they react so quickly to movement).
But usage of Both Mirrors, when you have them, helps greatly!
Lots of Practice, it will get easier & better.
I'm glad you had visiting Family to help.
GOD Bless You All
Thanks for the tips! I've never backed a semi.....seems intimidating!
Brad, I always add a new branch at that point and give the small piece something to hang up on. Keep feeding!
Good tip!
A little trick to backing up. Put your hand at the bottom of the wheel. Turn wheel in the direction you want trailer to go...
She has tried it all ways! Just needs more time at the wheel!
Great video thank you. It is nice to meet some of your family. Hope Deb had lots of fun with the grandkids.
Thank you! Deb had a great Mother's Day and they enjoyed zipping around the property!
I have an idea for a video that I think would be very beneficial for those of us looking to buy a tractor. It would be nice to know what repair work will be needed as part of the normal use of a tractor and whether you could do the work yourself. Plus, what would the repair entail.
I'm not referring to regular maintenance, but what could happen in daily use where you'd need to correct/fix something.
Thank you for considering.
Deb, you will get used to backen up. Remember, less is more when backends up. Brock is still wrong about the wood chipper 😅 sure is a beast with the end feeder
Yes, he's STILL wrong!!! Thanks for watching.
Just need to give her more practice. You are going to get it with practice.😊😊
That trailer has a short tongue...it's not easy to back up. Thanks for watching.
❤❤
So…how much wood would a wood chip chip if a wood chip could chip wood?
About one dump trailer full.....Then it's time for water and shade!! Thanks for watching.
What's the status on the house build?
Plans are done. Negotiating with builder. Thanks for watching.
@@PineyGroveHomestead Awesome thanks for the update! Beautiful property, you guys have done a great job! Can't wait to see the house build!
Good luck. I am hopeless at backing up any kind of trailer. I have no idea why men seam to be able to do it nicely.
We'll get it....we just need more practice! Thanks for watching.
Do you supplement the soil to counteract the acidity/tannins in the pine chips?
So far, it's not affecting the garden, but it will likely need lime next year for that.
