Jon Gruden just said he wants to coach in college. If I'm Florida, he's definitely getting a call.

Jeremy Foley hired Ron Zook, Jim McElwain and Will Muschamp. He doesn't need to be anywhere near another coaching search.

Let's mention that Dan Mullen quit on the Gators. He was wanting an NFL job that never came. He refused to fire his friends in Todd Grantham and Jon Hevesy who were both doing terrible jobs. He didn't want to recruit cause he thought he could win with 3 stars and projects that had to be developed and weren't. He had success because of the previous regimes players and once they started leaving and they didn't recruit high caliber players with horrible defense...it all fell apart

Don't forget Coach Ogeron. He is already living in Florida. You could have him as early as this week!

No mention of Jeff Brohm from Louisville? Understands portal , can recruit and gets the most from his players.

I don't think Florida can afford to go the group of five route this time. I believe the fan base is tired of the up and comer, build your own coach approach and are wanting a proven winner at the P4 or P5 level.

If coaches don’t have power over players why pay them so much

If Florida strikes out on Lane Kiffin, the name no one is talking about is K St’s HC. He’d be perfect for the job. Strong QB recruiter/developer(Carson Wentz, Trey Lance, Will Howard, and Avery Johnson), he’s a consistent winner(K St has been ranked nearly every season and won the big 12 2 years ago and looks like they’ll do it again. Also won 4 natty’s in 5 years at NDSU.) Also he’s a line of scrimmage guy. He’s always had OL and DL drafted. Very physical and relentless guys. The guy has never had access to top talent but somehow always develops NFL players everywhere he goes. Not a sexy name but a under the radar steal. Glad he was on the list.

Well you really don't know much about Florida mclain good recruit and could not coach molin could coach but could not recruit and Billy Napier he was just totally out of his league he needs to go back to the FCS Lane kiffin is a coach that will take control is a offensive genius Lane would bring back the air raid the fun and gun of Florida He's the only coach out there that I've been saying ever since they hired mcelain I've been on the lane train I truly believe that Lane tiffin is the only one that can fix Florida at this time we need his swagger

If Lane was to leave Ole Miss he would have the best facilities at Florida he'd have the best land to recruit in he would have a state that is easy to live in . I'll tell you South California is a horrible place to live and it cost to a lot more money if lane was to come to Florida I believe Lang could get a top 5 class but in his first and second year and even play for a championship in three or four He's going to get a lot better talent out of Florida then he's going to get basically anywhere else because we're lame in Florida Father's boys won't be leaving they'll be going to play underneath Lancaster The only thing holding Florida back is the right coach. But I do say pay Lane whatever he wants we need a coach like him to come and bring Florida back to where it belongs He's doing great at Ole Miss but I believe that Lane would be the coach for University of Florida for at least 7 to 10 years if that's what he wanted

Maybe far fetched but coach prime, he's from Florida and he could recruit that state very well
