Becki, that Vero ad read was one the best I’ve seen on YT. Informative, concise copy delivered genuinely. Although I have little practical need for the service, I curiously felt compelled to watch the whole thing through. Raise your rates and get an agent!
I read/watched numerous tech talk heavy reports on this lens, as a relative newbie I decided to order it. While it arrives tomorrow, This discovering your easy peasy straight forward thoughts- I feel more comfortable in my decision. I’m new to your videos- I GREATLY appreciate how thoughts on it are most easy to understand. Thank You for posting this review!
Becki, I think this is a great video. I bought this lens because I listened to you and Peter McKennon. I enjoy this lens, and this video inspires me to use it more than I do. Thanks for sharing!
I almost got one of them, but the Tamron 35-150 has been a work hosrse for me with condesning down to only two zoom lenses now! Makes traveling a lot easier with my gear haha Great video!
Agree with this a lot. I don't regret buying my Canon EF 70-200 f/2.8 L IS over the cheaper versions. Stabilization make and the lower f-stop make it so much more useful. I also love using it for portraits at weddings, the compression at 150-200 mm really helps turn any background into something pleasant and lets the subject pop.
I find that I grab this lens more then I do my Sony 200-600mm lens here in Alaska for the wildlife and have the 1.4 and the 2x converters for it love it and have the Viltrox 16mm 1.8 for the northern lights
Really enjoyed the unrecorded version of the lens 😂😂 The first lens I bought after the kit lens was a used Canon EF 70-200 is f2.8 to go with the 5D Mark III definitely a great lens and well used still to this day👍👍
I love this lens and I do love Vero as well for the more personal feel. I had the f4 version of this and used it to get some amazing shots. I didn’t use it as often as I’m sure I would this one.
I‘ve never actually tried a 70-200 f2.8, not Sony, not Canon, nothing. Maybe I‘ll check these beauties out one day. The internal zoom is fantastic, I also love the rotating tripod thingy and all the on-lens control switches. Also, I’d choose the OSS f2.8 version, too. My last buy was a 50 mm equiv. prime for my Fuji T30 and while I love the Bokeh, I really have to get used to the focal length. Shot with it before on my analog camera, but somehow it‘s different there. Anyways, I‘ll hang onto my current stuff for the next years. Anyways, I enjoyed this video, thanks a lot!
It's funny - last roadtrip I went on, I''d just got this one and wasn't 100% whether or not I'd use it a ton. So I went packed with my A1 and 7S3, the 50 1.2GM, 16-35 2.8GM, and this'n. Turns out, this lens never actually left my A1 the whole dang'd time. The only thing I wish Sony would do, is consolidate the filter size a little tighter. Bring the 16-35 down to 77, the 50 up to 77 or 82, etc. As is now, I'm kinda always fiddling back and forth with step up/down rings, which when the temps aren't comfortable, lol, can be a B.
Still love the positivity on VERO and the fact that you don’t feel like you have to post all the time because it’s actually about the community. I’m @printsbytoni on all things 😎 ✌🏾
It’s amazing how much equipment you feature on your channel and the burning question I have is how do you navigate the high cost of cameras and lenses ? Would be a great topic for a video. This lens alone runs 1600.00 to over 2000.00. What’s your method to access the cameras and lenses and accessories and not end up in the poor house?
Love the ND filter on the lens. I'm guessing that's Peter McKinnon's new ND filter! By the way I just bought this lens and I have not used it a lot but I had thought about using it for video. I just need a step up ring. I was surprised that it is not an 82mm filter thread.
Anyone here have any suggestions for a good cf express B card reader that’ll work well with an iPad Pro? My camera (eos r5) won’t let me transfer video via usb-c directly to me iPad
I wish Vero had a better UI, because the terrible UI is the only thing keeping me from trying it out more :( It has so much potential, but has not developed at all since dropping.
Great video, great lens! Are you and other creators alike not able to review the Tamron 35-150!? I own the Tamron 35-150 f2-f2.8 and personally find it to be superior to the 70-200 to me! Yes, 200mm is nice but it’s not a deal breaker having a maximum zoom range of 150mm. I’d love to see more creators of your caliber talking about the Tamron. Sony is a stakeholder in Tamron if that makes it any better 😏
I just choose to shoot with Sony lenses as a preference, I don’t have much experience with Tamron but I’m sure they are fantastic as are sigma. Gerald Undone and Dunna Did It both have reviewed Tamron I believe, if you are looking for more creators who talk about other glass 😊
@@BeckiandChris Super valid, I totally respect those who have their preferences! At the end of the day, it’s what you do with the gear that you have. The two of you are great at what you do and that’s why I’m here ☺️.
The two lights over your left shoulder are very bright and distracting. It would look better if you just light the green plant in the corner and put a dimmer on the two lamps to dim them down. Your welcome.
I bought this lens finally a month ago - its a stunner! Kudos for getting Vero to sponsor, need to see alot more photographers on there. I'm @coldcoffee

Thanks that means a lot! I’ve been having a ton of fun posting over there!
Those close ups crafting the fishing lures are so gorgeous!
Thanks!!

35-105 is a great focal range to have in one lens!
@@BeckiandChris definitely nice to have that range! Let’s me not worry about changing lenses to capture my shots!

8:41 is exactly why i love the tally lights on the fx3 🤣
I feel your pain re: not hitting record. Great review with thoughtful considerations!

Nice Video but just want to say one thing that’s very important to mention… TIGHT LINES TO THIS AWESOME FLYFISHER … THIS FLY LOOKS SO FISHCATCHING!

Completely feel the same. I cannot get enough of this lens.
Great video as always. Beautiful lens for sure.
Yes loving this lens as my new lens and my new camera the Sony a7r v
I got the MK1 version of this lens, absolute beast!
Awesome videography! Sony interests me. I shoot Nikon. Have fun, stay safe! Thank you!
This has been on my list for a while. Want to upgrade from my Tamron 70-180.
Waiting for the “I forgot to record” single to drop. Will it be on Apple Music? 😂
Everyone’s ears will be bleeding 😂

Sheeeesh 70-200 is crisp 🤯😮💨
Prime gang rise up! Great lens, but can’t leave my 85mm Gmaster in the dust

how dare you convince me to want to buy this, im so poor!!! =( love your videos! keep them coming!
I don't wanna be that guy who says first, but I gonna!
I second that! Lol! I'll see if you have a channel.
Say what? I don’t follow
You could lower the volume of background music, just a bit. It will help your speech to be better understood.
My Mark I version has a lot of back focusing issues

To blow your mind even more.. this is the mark 2, or version 2, and costs $2,800

It’s the V2, so his last model VND! I was surprised by the thread mount too!
how many stops of image stabilization sony 70 to 200 2.8 v2 has
Did the low light focusing also improve on the second GM 24-70? 🤔
I’d guess it probably has though I haven’t tried it!
Anyone here have any suggestions for a good cf express B card reader that’ll work well with an iPad Pro? My camera (eos r5) won’t let me transfer video via usb-c directly to me iPad
that looks huge for a 200, diameter wise
It’s quite small in comparison to others I’ve seen!

You are aware that filters on a lens of this class reduce photo quality, right?
Am I going crazy or is there a link to every lens in your house EXCEPT this lens?????

I did not want to watch an advertisement. UA-cam has enough of them.
Bla bla bla bla....!!!!!
@christophebouckaertphotograhy tanks for tis video. I like my 70-200 very much to.
