Hi, Does the addition of a teleconverter drop the image sharpness or light range of the camera?
If you add a 2x teleconverter, you end up with a 140-400 lens, at F5.6. Again, fantastic versatility! There isn’t much noticeable difference in image quality or sharpness with the TC but I did notice that the OSS image stabilisation if handholding the lens with a TC was not quite as good, so best to use a tripod in those conditions. But all round, the TC does perfectly fine with this lens.
