  • Hi! My name is Ashley. Welcome to my channel! So, would you have guessed that I was a Metallica fan growing up?
    .
My mind was blown when they released their live album "S&M," where they played with the San Francisco Symphony. The classical music geek in me thought it would've been epic to have been a part of the show, and that album gave me a whole new appreciation for Metallica (not to mention the motivation to relisten to all their music). That single album made me realize that rock could be so much more than just drums/guitar/bass/keys. Maybe...I could rock out some day?
    .
Which brings me to an unbelievable milestone: did you know that it's been 30 years since they released The Black Album?! To celebrate, I decided to arrange and record my own version of "Nothing Else Matters," guitar solos and everything.
    .
    Thanks so much for listening!

Seeing the first flute on the left along with the concert bass flute made me ask myself something - would it be possible to make a bamboo bass flute that is curved like the concert one? Perhaps by making the curved part out of wood, since bamboo isn't curved 180 degrees

I have seen bass dizi made with a curved headjoint. Just type bass dizi into google and look at some of the images.

I have a theory that instruments that can't make chords, like wind instruments, are the ones that ironically make the most beautiful chords.
