- A look at the complete series of King of the Hill on DVD and Blu-Ray. With the release of the thirteenth and final season on DVD and Blu-Ray, this entire series is available in its' entirety. In this video, I show each season that I own so you know what it looks like if you're considering purchasing any of these. No word yet if there will ever be a complete series box set of any kind, but I am hoping that someone will put out something that is housed in a propane tank-shaped case because I think that would be just awesome. But even if that doesn't happen, I don't really care because we have every season available now and that's all that's important. Thanks to Olive Films for releasing the final seasons of this show!

Great idea about the propane tank as a potential box set idea, would love to see that also. So happy to see that all these have now been released, I can now try and get a hold of them all.
It's been years and I've held off on buying them because I want them all in a box set I think it's never gonna happen
I picked up the bound together set of seasons 1-4 at Wal-Mart recently to get them in this more compact packaging, and i plan to get the other seasons eventually probably through Amazon or somewhere. Previously i only had the first and fourth seasons in the old box set packaging, but now this had given me a good jump start on collecting the entire series.
That bundled set for $20 was quite a deal i must say.
That's a good plan, cause I bought season 1 and 2 on dvd, and need 3 and 4 cause season 2 ends on a cliffhanger (I've seen the show thousands of times I just need the complete stories), and so dose season 3.
+sam robacker I plan to get the rest of the sets eventually, perhaps a couple at a time from Amazon until i have all thirteen seasons. The four season bundle was a great deal, and certainly much easier than buying all of them separately.
@@justinmiddleton8818 off topic, when do you think the show went downhill? I mean for every bad later season episode like Hank's cousin being a guy from ZZ-top, like just the guy not him playing a role. Or that lose snake episode there's Peggys befriending a drag queen in the first positive/non-joke character ID seen, or Lucky faking to not be injured (I understand people being upset he took over later stories but for the most part I didn't mind him) or that great moment where they destroy the Mcmansion.

True, some of those you named were pretty weak although on Lucky i don't think he was too bad. I think they developed him the most out of all of Luanne's beaus over the series, certainly more than Buckley and some of her other brief flings.

Almost finished with collecting the series, i only have seasons 12 and 13 to go so at long last my KOTH collection will be complete.
Also a small aside but Season 1 is technically only 12 episodes, this is because the episode "The Company Man" originally aired on FOX as part of season two even though it has a first season production number and was held over despite being intended for broadcast in the latter's run. That is why they tacked it onto the first set even though it did not actually air during that season, and all subsequent re runs include it as part of the second season.

The Complete First and Second Seasons were originally released in 2003. The Complete Third Season was originally released in 2004. The Complete Fourth and Fifth Seasons were originally released in 2005 and The Complete Sixth Season was originally released in 2006. All six of them were re-issued in 2010 in regular DVD cases, as the first six originally came in box sets.

Finally got the last two of the Fox released sets recently, albeit in the original boxset version with thin packs (instead of the re released standard cases J has here which i've got for the first four) of seasons five and six. Along with the first of the Olive Films releases which now puts me at the halfway point of owning the entire series. That makes seven seasons down and just six more to go as of now. It's a gradual work in progress, but i'm happy to be that much closer to having all the episodes given it's one of my most favorite animated shows.
I'm trying to collect all the seasons myself, at this point I only have seasons 1-4, 8, and 13. This means I still need 7 more seasons

I still remember they had in old insert for season 7 but that never happens at least olive films released all 7_13 sow that's amazing up to this point we have all seasons relsed form olive films and fox
I actually bought my two seasons at the same time but you're definitely right about that besides I got to put aside money for other titles I want to get like the complete series sets of nick shows released by shout factory or my biggest priority title the Star Wars saga is one collection I'm trying to complete.
I hate double-sided discs too. I have all the 20th century fox dvds but haven't gotten the olive films releases yet. I do want to though. I wish a company (i guess since olive films has the rights to put King of the Hill on DVD they should be the ones to do it, or does Fox only have the rights to seasons 3 to 6?) would re-release seasons three through six without double-sided discs. Another DVD set in my collection that has double-sided discs is season one of House MD and I think I saw on amazon that Universal re-released season one with six-single sided discs and corrected the aspect ratio for widescreen televisions. I don't understand why someone can't do the same with King of the Hill. Anyway, thanks for showing your eollection. I have been wanting to know what the olive films releases look like.
+Shana Lewis I agree. The double sided discs are a joke. And they are totally unnecessary. They are actually double sided single layer discs. I would think they could reissue those with single sided, dual layer discs and have the same amount of discs. Ugh!

Finally completed my KOTH at long last, it took a while but now i have all 13 seasons. Definitely psyched given it's one my favorite animated sitcom of all time.

I doubt it. Season 13 only got the blu ray because that's the only season that was in HD

Yeah, me too. But I think they would have to remaster all the earlier episodes if they wanted to put them on blu ray. It probably won't ever happen, but oh well.

It depends. Could have been just an error that you didn't get one or they don't make them anymore. If you bought it from a legitimate source, you're probably fine. If you got it on eBay or some other place from 3rd party sellers, you might investigate further into it.

I love the show, so I love the DVDs! The quality seems good for what they are. Obviously they'd have to be remastered to be on blu-ray or 4K.

The 1-13 sets are for sure, but be really weary about getting 7-13 DVDs, 1-6 DVDs are easier to get legit, especially if they’re in the fat packaging then they’re real, and I think it would be rare to find a fake season 13 Blu-ray

The episode title the powder puff boys makes me think that they really copying the Powerpuff girls or something. Just so you know.
In a way i kinda hope they reboot king of the hill but i doubt it. Who knows if bobs burgers got a reboot maybe king of the hill can and hey maybe make a cross over of beavis and butthead and king of the hill.
I would absolutely love a reboot of king of the hill, and I'm sure they'd do a pretty good job with it too since their beavis and butthead reboot was very well done. As far as a crossover...Idk, I think that'd be kinda weird. They are almost completely different shows, honestly. In my mind, the characters don't even live in the same world.
J's Blu-Rays yeah in a way that does sound true but its almost like king of the hill and beavis and butthead already have crossovers if you want to count mr Anderson as hank from king of the hill or hank from beavis and butthead.
