Great video. This will help me. Off topic my 05 needs some tlc. I want to tear it down to frame and weld in a gusset kit. I can not seem to find them anymore. Looks like bare is out of business and Walsh have been out of stock for about 6 months. Do you have a source for parts?
Thanks! Yep Bare is no more. I used their kit on my 04'. On your 05' I really do not think its necessary to gusset it. Strip it down and have the cracks repaired by a competent welder and then get it powdercoated. Make sure your suspension is setup for your weight and riding style, set your ride height, and motor on.

Being I mostly just trail ride I don’t want to go wide so that leaves me looking at full flights +1. I’m only looking to get smoothing operation and a +1 looks like it will just make my front width the same as back. Btw you have a very nice work area I can appreciate the organization.

Can I send you my dvx 400? I need it fixed can’t figure it out tired of spending money at mechanics to just keep saying carb and it’s been rebuilt 2x cleaned 3x and replaced 2x pretty sure it’s valve adjustment
Hey I adjusted my valves on my 2003 kfx 400 and it ran perfectly for about 5 rides but it got to where it would fire right up cold and have trouble starting after it warmed up it would eventually crank but took a minute and now it’s gotten to where it won’t start at all cold or hot and I cleaned my carburetor and put it back on it fired right up ran perfectly rode around a minute and parked it came back two weeks later and it won’t start and fires less with starting fluid what do you think that could be?
Hard to say and hard to diagnose over the internet. To me it sounds like a carb issue or the valves are cupped and need to be replaced. If you open it back up and confirm intake valve clearance is back to zero then you found your answer.
I just had my head seats recut and new vaule put in and after about 12 hours on engine I have adjust vaule is this common or what issues should I look for I follow hot cam guide it a little different than your video intake .15 and exhaust. 20 it does fire right up when set at that setting??
Nice video! Sounds nearly identical to my SV1000S, but one nice thing was timing chain didnt need to come off.

No, it's not a common issue. If your filter is letting dirt by or it was improperly installed/setup you will have issues.
Why didn't you send the head in your clearance was zero?
I did send the head out. This was the initial valve adjustment after I got it back.
Hey what’s the smallest valve I can go on the intake?
Not sure what you mean by that. If you are referring to shims that is dependent on the machine.
