Celebrity is an even better value if you bundle the drink package and wifi when booking. Yes absolutely you can get a Celebrity cruise in the Caribbean for about half the price of Royal Caribbean.
In 2023 my family went on Wonder OTS twice and Beyond one time. We have very similar opinions to your video with one difference: we preferred Beyond for a cruising with family (our 11 year old daughter also liked Beyond better). We have scheduled 4 more cruises on Edge class ships (2 Beyond and 2 Apex). Also that Effectors 2 show was so terrible that it was kinda funny.
I’m so glad to hear your kids enjoyed Beyond! We don’t have kids yet but we just noticed all the kids on our sailing looked bored hahah so it’s good to get that feedback! Effectors was definitely memorable but not for any good reasons haha.
I found you guys bc your content lines up with our future cruises! Celebrity beyond, RC Wonder, and Sun Princess. I can only speak about pricing right now but celebrity gets the tally mark for me. $2k total for interior deluxe with upgraded drink package 8 day to ABC islands in June. Wonder is $4200 for porthole with added drink package and its a 7 day Mexico with Coco Cay in September (off season).
Wow you got an amazing price on celebrity! Both Celebrity and Royal Caribbean are amazing cruise lines so I’m sure you will have a great time on both! Sounds like you have really fun itineraries as well.
Curious how you were able to do celebrity for around $2k. We stayed aquaclass last yr on equinox (an older ship) and paid just under $4k for 6 nights. This year we cannot find anything under $3k for even interior. Am i missing a way to find better deals? This would be only our 2nd cruise ever. Thanks so much.
I think we just got extremely lucky lol. We booked it through VacationsToGo, it was also right after the holidays so I think there was very little demand around that time. Unfortunately we haven’t found a deal like that since for Celebrity 😅
As we said in the video we felt that the value we got on Celebrity was better because we didn’t have to upgrade our room or buy the dining package to have an enjoyable experience, making it a great value. The food on Celebrity was comparable to the specialty dinning on Royal so there was no need to purchase a dining package, and the room was just as large just without the balcony, and the bathroom was larger so for us we felt like we would rather be able to take 2 Celebrity cruises for the price of 1 Royal Caribbean cruise.
One thing that makes me trepidatious about booking NCL or the new Celebrity ships is the reserved areas for premium passengers. I’ve only been on a millennium class and loved the sail away at the front of the ship, an area that I hear is only available to retreat members which, as a poor person, I’d hate (would love though if I had the money). What did you guys find about the segregation onboard that celebrity ship, is it enough to annoy the poor peasants like on NCL?
Honestly I wouldn’t even know that area existed on the Beyond if I hadn’t heard about it before the cruise. I didn’t really feel less than at any point in the cruise due to that. They do have a section of the theater reserved for suite guests but honestly the seats for us common folk was just as good lol I haven’t been on an NCL cruise that had the reserved suite areas so I can’t speak to that line, but we are hoping to do one soon so I can report back at that time!

@@Cruisenewsandbooze we've sailed in aqua class before on millennium and it was cheaper than Royal Mariner balcony.

The prize comparison is kind of weird condisering that you didn't have the same cabin type, and you didnät have a dinining package.
