I had a 1965 one just like this only not as immaculate and a fair bit of body filler. I sold it in the late 70s for £250, oh dear😢😢

As a teenager in the 60s this was the car we cruised around in...great memories...I later bought a mk2 ...not the same but still a wicked car....now bought for nostalgia not performance...any modern small car can out perform it...108 BHP....nothing nowadays.

Lovely car, but unless you can drive it like Jim Clark you shouldn't have one 🙂

Front wings all gummed up on the body lines?
They were not like that factory as they were left with the joins .
What's with the black gloopy stuff around the speedo cowl?
But all said and done it is a thing of beauty.
    NOT 90 K

Absolutely great car in the style of its time, but even today it cuts a fine figure as far as looks are concerned. Its clear line of the body looks elegant and high-quality understatement is popular, elegant restraint but connoisseurs unmask it as a super automobile
