3 and 4 no… GOT is awesome because it’s not over the top, it’s fairly realistic (in a sense) and is historically accurate, even with 2 you just seem like you want GOT to be another souls like / Assassins creed RPG. The game is good because it’s in its own lane and we should be hoping it stays this way. You make good points too!
First game is only historically accurate on the very outer layers of it. Devs already stated they prioritise fun over historical accuracy. Otherwise I agree with what you’re saying, shouldn’t get too fantastical.
To each their own. Again I love Legends and the Mythic tales so I think the series could really thrive with some more supernatural stuff in the main game this time around. But totally understand why some ppl might disagree
I've been playing GoT recently and honestly wtv they've shown so far makes me really happy cuz it looks like an upgrade to an already good game. It's just too bad that some seem to be ONLY focusing on the female mc.
The MC hate is dumb asf, but I literally knew it was coming the second she showed up on screen. Super annoying but hey, guess they'll have to boycott a game thats almost guaranteed to be pretty baller so their loss
Imagine if there was a Ghost of Tsushima game where the open world was set in the legends world. All that supernatural stuff. I think this would be awesome, but I'm still very excited for Ghost of Yotei.
Sucker Punch has said that they won’t lean too heavily into the mythical side of things. They’ll play around with it but they won’t go full Sekiro with it.
This could be a cool side game (miles morales-esque) but I agree with others that the mainline series still needs to be somewhat grounded to keep a consistent tone
alot of people would have to disagree with few of these takes like supernatural stuff, turning into an animal,etc imagine you're having a samurai showdown and the opponent literally takes out 6 more arms with katana or turns into a wolf, that would be a horror to watch. Foundations of ghost of series lies in being close to real, for supernatural stuff you should play other games, not turn one genre into another, imagine how bad doom eternal would be if they suddenly turned into a stealth genre, pure horror.
Fair enough. I personally think there's a spot it can reach that's still a solid middle ground between fantasy/supernatural and realism, but I think the first game held back juuuust a little too much on that front

I personally do it do you think that the reason why ghost of tsushima is above the rest of current rpg feudal japan games is because of its somewhat grounded immersive combat. Sure there some fantastical elements like the guiding wind and getting hit by lightning but thats it. If you know that if the add more fantastical elements to the game you will become just a normal japanese game like rise of ronin and Nioh which i think would be a very bad move. Tho for legends mode go crazy with it honestly. Imagine you can travel to Hokkaido with flipped world instead of just normal world it's supernatural fucking crazy shit. That would be cool.

I’m disappointed in the fact that the game takes place 400 years after the first one. I feel like Jin’s story wasn’t finished.
I don't think there's much more to say with him that wouldn't require a whole new setup from scratch. I like when characters go out on a high note
