Yes! Serendipity is so exciting to see! I can't wait to watch these two beautiful animals settling in their new safe home. You really are providing an opportunity for us to watch the therapy and follow the progress when JR decides to develop this gorgeous pair. When Homestead Horsemanship is finished rehabbing, these horses will be glossy gleaming and shining examples of equine fitness, I have no doubt.
I feel blessed to see how Bryce has become such an integral part of the family to be included in the training, even though at this time, he is still Rebecca's boyfriend.
Oliver... "Girls! Girls! Yahoo! Dad brought home girls!" She is beautiful! Congratulations. ❤Blessing to everyone, two and four legged. Prayers for the older mare.
Amen 🙏🙏 I have Faith that Luna is in the very best home. JR will have her as good as new in a few months. So happy these two friends will be together 💖💖
I really hope you can help the older girls feet. She is Gorgeous!!! Black Clydesdales are gorgeous!!! Hope you can contact the woman bringing their bloodline back to Scotland!!! How interesting would THAT Be?!?
I missed the video of them at the Clydesdale Auction Bcuz I was watching a lot of videos about the hurricane damage in NC. I know it will come back around to me but, in the mean time, can U tell me what happened to Miss Luna's feet.? & why she's nervous w/out Miss Beauty.? Were they honestly headed to the slaughter pipeline.? 😢
@@janethompson2305They came from a kind owner not an auction. None of them were going to slaughter. The young one was given for these people to buy so she wouldn't be alone. The older one has hoof canker (you can Google that) and the old owner was worried he wouldn't have the money for the treatment.
@carolinechew2432 I agree. I think I like the black Clydesdales more than the brown ones. Although according to Emery, the Clydesdale community on FB said Luna's color is blue roan. I especially like the gray shades on Luna's face.
Animals are God‘s creation. He does love them and care about them and want people to be kind to them. They are a gift. I know you can’t save all of them but to rescue one when God puts it in your path and you do so he will bless you
So happy that these two ladies are home. Prayers that all goes well with Luna and her treatment and that Oliver and Beauty make a beautiful little one.
Hello! Just a thought, but a VERY old nurse I worked with when I was young, taught me and old Nurse's remedy for ulcers and sores that won't heal, is actually to pack them in white sugar. Rinse with saline and re-pack the sugar and wrap several times a day. We used to use it with great success for old bedsore ulcers that would not heal any other way. She taught me that the acidity of the sugar helps clear infection, and also it helps "Bring new flesh". I know, it literally sounds like a term from a old wives tale, but the lady was a professional registered nurse for like 60 years, and I personally saw the sugar method work dozens of times. It may be worth a try, anyway.
Also, respectfully, you might consider trimming her feathering down short, on her back legs, so that no "mud fever" can get in, or whatever. Just a thought anyway 🙂
@@homesteadhorsemanship Best of luck with her, she's such a beauty, no doubt she will shine in the sun by the time y'all have got her healthy again :-)
They are great mares! Luna is really beautiful. I’m so glad that Beauty, who is also wonderful, is young, and will get to live at Homestead Horsemanship that will be safe, healthy and loving. Thank you so much.
You all talk about conformation, but never explain it. A very helpful video would show you beside the horse and explaining what makes her have good conformation. I would love this!
Her “H” stands for “Hallelujah!” The Homestead Horsemanship angels, saved me from an early death and now I Live in peace in this wonderful home of people who love Jesus! Praying for Hallelujah’s healing!!!!
That’s a much better name than Luna ! I wish they would name her Hallelujah, it really fits her and I Pray for her recovery and that JR will decide to keep her. Both new horses are Beautiful just like Oliver and little Nattie ❤
Very good of you to take this sweet girl on. I hope her foot issues can be solved. They both seem to be very good-natured. It really breaks one's heart when one thinks about how some of these horses are treated. Worked to the bone and then the last pennies have to be squeezed out by selling them off for meat. These horses obviously weren't treated that poorly. But generally, humans have come up with the most despicable system of exploitation. But, then again some humans have no problem exploiting other humans so it's natural to exploit other creatures. Especially the ones that still hang on to the old times and don't use modern machinery. It's all their prerogative, but the state should go after them for treating their animals so poorly. This is not PC but the truth. 'm glad that there are a few UA-cam channels that try to help these horses. Whether they were athletes or 'just' working horses. They all deserve to live out their lives in a decent way, my grandparents always said that this is a reflection of character. People who treat their animals that way treat humans the same way. Respect for god's creation. Hopefully, you get enough sponsors for her. I really cross my fingers.
I agree with you. All animals need to be treated well with loving care. The human race has depended on their work and now they depend on us. I agree-how a person treats an animal shows their true character and I think it correlates how these humans will treat other humans. A vet once explained why they ask new clients whether they consider their pet a part of the family or not. (That seemed like a strange question to me.) it shows generally how well they care for the animal. Hmmm-insightful question.
Those are two Gorgeous mares; and, the "brand" looks like it's pointing forward to Homestead H. for their future. Praying that Luna thrives under your care. And, hoping that the girls will soon reflect the wonderful work that you are doing at Homestead Horsemanship, and for the new visitors to your site to follow and appreciate you as we already do!
The older mare sure is beautiful. She appears to be a roan. I wonder if roans are comparatively rare for Clydesdales. The younger mare seems to be very comparable to Oliver in general type.
Most likely not roan like you are thinking, but perhaps varnish roan (which is an appaloosa pattern) or rabicano, as roan (the dun gene) would make her entire body lighter with white hairs EXCEPT for her face, legs, and mane/tail, which would stay black. Horse genetics are truly fascinating!
When my family and I used to live in Aldergrove BC Canada there was a Clydesdale horse mare on a farm with some cows on it on my way to a horse farm and the mare was in a canter and the ground shook and she was so beautiful. Here in Edmonton my friend had her horse boarded on a farm and there were horses, ponies,.in horses and a young 2 year old Clydesdale colt a gelding that I got to stand next to him,he was still growing but to me he was taller than me and I used to be 4'7" and I have pictures of him,my friend:s horse. The Clydesdale colt gelding's owner let me pick up his leg and wow his hooves were as big as a dinner plate

I'm so glad you got these beautiful girls. Oliver got excited, he said new women yay. I want a wife so hurry up dad and let me meet her. I know the baby will be beautiful and just precious. Love yall
Aside from money, how could we help? I mean, what are some items we could direct ship? Beautiful horses, and God richly bless the work of your hands. Take care, thanks for sharing this. ❤❤
Well this is going to be even more interesting getting to watch these 2 new additions and how Oliver likes his new mate. Hoping we get a beautiful baby out of Beauty.
They are both sweet girls. They’re in a new place and it’s scary to them. Luna is older and has some health issues. Plus she’s scared being in a new place. You can be the kindest people on earth and she still will have to get used to you. We’re giving her Mulligan passes for the soiling. She’s a sweetie. They’re both beautiful. ❤️
They didn’t eat that first night because it was all new and a little worrisome. Too bad they weren’t together that first night so they could comfort each other. They are beautiful and I’m anxious to see what the vet says. Pray JR can work his magic on Luna’s feet. Thank you for the video
What fortunate ladies to be at your farm❣️. They are lovely. Praying you can get the canker cured. Reuben might have some thoughts on this too. Blessings

Maybe Luna has been shuffled around to many different owners? Maybe this is at least partly why she is weary or insecure? She has a good, familiar, comfortable friend in Beauty. And, a nice, loving home at Homestead Horsemanship. Very nice!!! 👍 ❤ I am eager to see the progress you make with treating her health issue. Keep up the good work! Fight the good fight! ❤ ✝️ 🙏

Yes!!! Keeping Beauty & Luna together is the ultimate Kindness. Bravo once again, Homestead Horsemanship 🐴 🐴 ❤

I wonder if part of her jumpiness is just from all the treatments that she’s had and being messed with but not so much handling other than that

These are one of the most beautiful regal horses on earth. It breaks my heart to see them so sad. Bless you for adding them to your family

Your karma bank is already pretty full, but you earned another great big deposit when you brought these two home together! 😍
Yes, most definitely 🙏🙏
Now Nattie can have a girl’s club! 🐴🐴🐴
Its getting harder & harder to have favourites. So many sweethearts.❤❤❤❤
I just end up with lots of favourites 😊

What a NEAT and SPECIAL thing you are starting - the Homestead Line of Black Clysdales
So happy that these two ladies are home. Prayers that all goes well with Luna and her treatment and that Oliver and Beauty make a beautiful little one.
Please wait until spring before breeding Beauty. Why would you want a foal in the winter?
Well Oliver is very happy to see them both that's for sure...I mean regardless of age - they are both gorgeous!!!
My friend had a Clydesdale and he was beautiful and he had such a mild temperament. He was an all round great guy !
