“Best “I’m Dead And I Know It” TV & Movie Moments (and a Bunch of Stargate)”
In summary: Stargate
I didn’t realize I subbed to WhatCultureStargate 🙄
Anyone would think they must have reused an old episode...but whatculture would never do that
Right? Oh my God. I came here to comment the same thing. There are SO MANY other good deaths left off here to make room for that boring crap
You say that like it's a bad thing
I mean, it seems like they had a treasure trove of good deaths. 🤷♂️
I specifically wanted to comment that it's nice to see someone include Stargate in anything cuz so many people pretend those shows never existed. That being said, they did focus on SG quite a bit.
I love Stargate. There is WAY too much Stargate on this list.
lol was about to comment the same
How could you forget Mark Strong as Merlin in kingsman golden circle? While not as great as the first kingsman movie, Merlin singing take me home country roads to draw unnamed henchman in to their death is a self sacrifice win!
It is the perfect death scene. The song gives me goosebumps, then the explosion... instant tears.
From a guy who NEVER watched any episodes of Stargate there sure was a lot of Stargate deaths… and none of them made me want to go back & watch any episodes of Stargate. 😂
I agree with others, waaay too much Stargate here when there's a lot of other movies and tv series with great deaths for this list. Especially when a lot of the deaths weren't that great, and all kind of were the same. Some series have a lot of deaths, but they should have a limit in lists like this I think. Still, love the channel and content.
Might as well of called this video Everyone that dies in the Stargate franchise
Lol. Accurate.
There had to have been a random Stargate video that they mashed up and Frankensteined this video together
I don't think I've ever heard a single SG1 reference from What culture, prior. (Pun Intended)
@@chefdean7257 I wouldn't make Stargate puns in this comment section. Apparently everyone here fucking hates that amazing show.
@@angrytvrobot6130 Know knowing that you wouldn't, unsure why I wouldn't, as anyone else's thought is irrelevant in regards to my premise. Nonetheless, what did you think the pun was ?
@@chefdean7257 Wasn't it a Prior pun? About the Ori?
Also Spoon from Dog Soldiers going out like a champ!
Dude, we get it. Stargate was a thing........
I click on a 50+ minute video thinking "Well, if this doesn't have Bob Hoskins at the end of The Long Good Friday as number 1 then it's not much of a list". 51 minutes later and not only isn’t the definitive, perfect, realising-you're-about-to-die-and-running-the-gamut-of-emotions-through-subtle-face-acting-alone moment in movie history number 1, *BUT IT'S NOT ON THE BLOODY LIST AT ALL* and I realise that WhatCulture are charlatans. You had old movies on the list! What is wrong with you????
Also, “ Rocket “ Romano from ER . His arm amputated them his death many episodes later, both by helicopter, should’ve been on the list as well. Karma hit him hard with those two occurrences, he wasn’t a very nice person.
They make up for it with way too many characters I’ve never heard of from Star Gate spin offs.
😂
@@jeffreycarman2185 I said same, but it’s because this is a compilation video, one of the videos being all Stargate related.
Maybe next time just separate all the Stargate and make that its own video. I didn't care about those deaths and having a stargate come up every few entries just made this draggggg.
I love the look on Malcolm Mcdowells face as Soran in Generations just before that rocket exploded.
Olenna Tyrell...Queen of Thorns...living legend
The biggest WTF of 2024 for me ? Hearing Sean Ferrick reviewing SG1.
Love your content ❤❤❤❤
Prometheus looked like a lego spaceship
well, you guys missed a few more Star Trek ones
1. the bridge crew of the Klingon Bird of Prey from Star Trek 6
2. Spock in Star Trek II, he's dead, knows it and decides to console his best bud in his last moments
3. a rip off scene from Star Trek 6 in Star Trek Generations...same Bird of Prey-different crew
4. Magwa from Last of the Mohicans
5. Erwin Konig from Enemy at the Gates
6. Bartlett and McDonald at the end of The Great Escape
7. Cassian and Jyn and Krennic and a few more from Rogue One
8. Iman Fasil from Highlander
How are like half the entries from the SG universe??? Almost every other entry is SG related, I gotta check those shows out if they are THAT violent lmao😅
I think they spliced a Stargate deaths list into a general one.
@@zvimur I kinda got that too after thinking about it lol.
Highlander, Hornblower, Lord of the Rings, there is a bloody legion of great movies/shows not on this list. And a third of entries have to be SG. Some bias?
Bit confused about so much Stargate since i'd like some Farscape and other sci-fi series in there as well but i do love Stargate, just bit odd. Craise on Taylon, Ka'Dargo
Cameron Mitchell and Vala MalDorand approve😅. Look them up if don't know them.
@@zvimur ofc i know about the carrier of excalibur , traine din the ways of the sodan and the former goa'uld host of qetesh and daniel jackson's on and off again
@@Scandic45 also, mother of an apocalyptic monster?
Some other good ones:
- Claudius - I, Claudius [1976], E13: "Old King Log"
- Avon - Blake's 7, S4E13: "Gauda Prime" [1981]
- Arthur & Mordred - Excalibur [1981]
- Optimus Prime - The Transformers, S3E08 [1986]: "Dark Awakening"
- Jennifer Chase - Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future, S1E22: "Retribution, Part 2" [1988]
- David Bruce Banner - The Death of the Incredible Hulk [1990]
- Ericsson - Babylon 5, S4E05: "The Long Night" [1997]
- General Perez - Alien: Resurrection [1997]
- all the astronauts - Deep Impact [1998]
- John Hobbes - Fallen [1998]
- John Crichton - Farscape, S3E15: "Icarus Abides" [2001]
- Evan - The Butterfly Effect [2004] (Director's Cut)
- Charlie - Lost, S3E22-23: "Through The Looking Glass" [2007] ("Not Penny's Boat")
- Lee Abbott - A Quiet Place [2018]
- most of the Doctors - Doctor Who
- Sasha - The Walking Dead
I have some options to replace all those needless "Stargate" choices(Seriously, it wasn't that popular a show). Ahem!:
Liutenant Coffey(Michael Beihn) in "The Abyss" knows he's seconds away from imploding as his mini sub, out of power is sinking further into the trench. Helplessly he screams violently and BOOM!
Walt Kowalski(Clint Eastwood) in "Grand Torino" knows he's seconds away from being shot to death by a gang terrorizing his neighborhood that he's facing down. He puts a cigarette in his mouth and says a Hail Mary and goes for the lighter in his coat pocket and receives a hail of bullets dying to put them all in prison(he knows there's witnesses and he's actually unarmed).
Logan(Hugh Jackman) in "Logan" knows he's finally about to die after hundreds of years of regenerating and surviving lethal attacks. He simply says, "So, this is what this feels like..." and dies.
JB Books(John Wayne) in "The Shootist" is dying of cancer. An old gunslinger in the wild west, he sets up a final confrontation with 4 enemies in a bar and takes care of his last arrangements before walking into the bar for the showdown. The Duke manages to kill all of them, but is fatally shot in the process going out like the boss he was.
Colt(Chuck Norris) in "The Way of the Dragon" is fighting an honor match to attempt to assassinate Tang Lung(Bruce Lee) in the Roman Colosseum. After a magnificent fight, Tang injures Colt's arm and breaks his leg. Knowing he's lost the fight, but can't stop because of the hit contract, he screams defiantly and charges at Tang, who puts him in a forward headlock and breaks his neck. It's epic and the only cinema fight Chuck Norris lost.
The True Romance scene is one of the greatest Tarantino monologues he ever wrote. It is scintillating, and delivered with such expertise. Walken plays his part with delicious fervour too. The scene is dripping with anxiety inducing tension, first time watching it was one of the most upsetting things I've ever seen, wishing that somehow the father would be spared out of respect, but of course that doesn't happen.
This video is epic!
I LOVE IT! 😍
Dead Like Me. The moment George looked up and saw the toilet seat from the MIR heading right for her.
One of my all-time favorites is Gunmen. I won't spoil it, but it was great.
Predator In the jungle not one mention of those poor folks?
My most recent "I'm dead and I know it" moment is in a video are ...
Star Wars the Bad Batch ending Vice Admiral Rampart shots Nala Se to discover was holding a thermal detonator.
Another one you missed is, Stanley Tucci as Dr. Conrad Zimsky, Earth specialist and designer of Project DESTINI. Within the movie "The Core" it takes Dr. Conrad Zimsky a moment, to realize no one will ever hear his last recording, he puts the recorder down and laughs until the nuke goes off.
I would say that the death of Renna at the hands of Egwene in season 2 of The wheel of time is 1000x better than every single one of the Stargate deaths.
49 why not 50.
Didn't count how many Stargate moments. If 14, makes sense (25+14)
49 because they ran out of Stargate deaths
@@MsEngelby You beat me to it. I was going to say "Because there is only so much Stargate."
Because Stargoootten didn't have enough of them.
Stargate entries: you have to explain that much backstory with every entry… probably doesn’t need to be on the list
42:30 WhatCulture, you got this one twisted. The Replicants in Bladerunner are not "robots/androids", they are flesh and blood humans. But they have been genetically modified and enhanced. Their aging process, lifespans, and enhanced strength, etc., are all results of that modification.
Looper is one of my favorite movies.
Norman's last words to Peter "Don't tell Harry" seemed to show there was a glimmer of decency in him, wanting to spare his son the knowledge of his criminal identity.
I have the feeling that what culture is going to be launching a stargate channel.
First off the breath stuff in The Thing has been debunked so many times. You can see Child's breath if you look closely or on the blu-ray. 2nd off the better we are dead scene is when Nauls/McCready/Gary discovered the generator was gone. "Anyway we can fix it?", "It's gone!" The realization that nobody was getting out of there is awesome
I recommend highlighting the fact that this is a compilation video, maybe even naming the different lists. People in the comments' blood pressure reaching dangerous levels.
Why am I just realizing DnDShorts worked at WhatCulture
I can't believe y'all had the mermaid in cabin in the woods and not the ENDING? A better option for this exact list, imo
How could they not even mention the death of capt.charles van ( superbly portraid by Zack McGowan) in the Black Sails series. A simple shake of his head before slowly being stangled by the noose. It spoke volumes.
"I'm referencing way too much stargate and I know it"
I personally loved all the Stargate SG-1 stuff. That wonderful show is so often overlooked.
William Schallert, "Colossus: The Forbin Project' (1970).
Lance Henriksen, " Stone Cold" (1991): "Oops".
Ioan Gruffudd in San Andreas, Gary Oldman in Leon, Gerard Butler in Law Abiding Citizen, Belloc in Raiders and many more.
leon is talked about in this video..
I thought the last thing the Goblin said when he knew he was gonna die was dont tell Harry
Missing: Ed Harris in Enemy at the Gates and Capt. Love screaming his head off in The Mask of Zorro.
Too funny!!!!
He just wanted to go home, he begged, pleaded, and argued with The Doctor to do so, (keeping in mind that he constantly argued with other companions) next thing that happens he along with The Doctor, Tegan, Nyssa, and a freighter crew are embroiled in a plot to wipe out Earth by The Cybermen.
Some time later Adric while on the bridge has the idea of saving Earth by diverting the freighter's course by unlocking the co-ordinates, unfortunately a lone Cyberman fires missing Adric, after the cyberman dies Adric stands on the bridge, and says "No I'll never know if I was right."
Meanwhile, in the TARDIS the Doctor, Nyssa, and Tegan helplessly watched as the ship crashed into Earth not only ending Adric's life, but wiping out the Dinosaurs as well. "Earthshock" - "Doctor Who "
Ones I liked that weren’t on the list…
Event Horizon - Smith sees the bomb on the L&C is about to blow
Deep Impact - Jenny and her dad about to be hit by a tidal wave
The Usual Suspects - Keaton’s tired resignation as he knows he’s about to die after realising who Verbal really is
The title should be "49 deaths in movies and Stargate." I just skipped past them after a while.
I submit Clyde Shelton "Law Abiding Citizen" (I'd rather not post a link)
but you can add it in "Best "I'm Dead And I Know It" TV & Movie Moments-Part 2"
As god is my witness, I will never watch a second of Stargate after this. Dude. There’s more than one show. Stargate is the NCIS of science fiction.
I always find it funny as in the original book, Muldoon is one of the survivors! Hammond was killed by Compys.
Great list
Fun fact: Jamie Lee Curtis performed that limo stunt herself and on her birthday
the apple pie Mags scene in Justified.
It's a compilation guys. Don't over analyse it.
Why all the statgate crap. Maybe have 1 or 2, but far too many on this list.
How was the death of John Rooney in Road to Perdition not on this list? It's one of the most beautifully shot death scenes ever invisioned.
49? What, you couldn't find one more??
I hate it when you ruin the moment by saying the line or describing the even rather than just showing the clip.
I wish they’d actually show what happens instead of talking over it. I fastforwarded through all the Stargate ones.
That last one from bad Romance dot the application wasn’t that all Italians had black blood, but rather all Sicilians.
Cutler Beckett, pirates of the carribean.
Stan in the movie Volcano...
Matt Damon: The Departed.
You missed so many to pad this with Stargate!
Dyson in T-2
The Irish Mom putting her kids to bed on Titanic
The suicide swim from the Abyss
Black Mask from Birds of Prey
Slim Pickens riding the bomb in Dr. Strangelove.
Viggo in John Wick
Boromir in The Lord of the Rings
OBI WAN KENOBI from Star Wars.
so.. we aint gonna talk about the word choice around the endevor?. Double teamed and railed from both sides?
"Anyone with a name like Jean-Baptiste Emmanuel Zorg should never be trusted". Huh? Why? It's just a name. Unless WhatCulture.... no, couldn't be that.
On the other hand, though, that is the name of a character that only Gary Oldman should be playing.
I guess there are a lot of deaths in Stargate
I was sad that Daniel died but I liked Jonas.
Where is general Chang from Star Trek- VI .
Why is 90% of this Stargate? ...didn't even know it was popular
I enjoyed Broken Arrow 😂😂😂
So. Much. Stargate.
If schults had been thinking straight he was holding a two shot derringer he had the time to turn & put the second shot in to the back of butch`s head before he turned & used the shot gun on him then Django & himself may have been able to shoot there way out along with Broomhilda ..
The Ghouaoouaouuuooooooalduuuuuuuaaal
At least it's the same guy doing all the Stargate ones so I can skip through them immediately when I see him since I literally don't give a shit.
The stargate geekiness is a time filler
My problem with the Stargate thing isn't that there's SO MUCH of it here, it's that the sound being so much lower really threw off the flow of the video. It's so jarring.
Ugh...ENOUGH with Stargate. One or two is fine on this list, but geez, give us a break.
You can judge evil by hairstyle that is... hair-o-phobic? it that a thing?
Really? No bridge over the river Kwai or John Lennon in How I won the war? I'm as big a Stargate fan as the next guy but they had so many resurrections death had a revolving door installed and put up a sign asking people to please turn the lights off when they leave 🙄
I was trying to come up with a 'Jaffa' Cakes joke, but it's spelt the same so the pun doesn't work in text.
Didn't Blackbeard have like 14 wives? If they wanted to go the lgbtq route with him, then they should've changed his name to Blueballs. 😂😂 That name alone would've earned that show a 3rd season.
Christopher Walken is dead?
35:09 😈😈😮💨🥴🥵 SOLITARY MAN!!
The dudes choices were it shit and unknowns
Algorithm 👍🏾
Again you missed the missile silo scene from Colossus: The Forbin Project. How oblivious can you be? Well, at least you didn't ruin it by nonstop talking like you always do.
i loved all of this. tho not an SG-1 fan, i still enjoyed those parts too.
i just dont think the delivery for the SG-1 scenes had enough....panache....emotion...feeling? the dude in the sweathshirt sucks for delivery. (sry dude in sweatshirt, your forgettable.)
These guys are obviously stargate fans 🙄 what a waste of time
Shut up with the stargate. Yawn.
What is the rimjob given to the Stargate franchise
It's not the Italians he insults it's Sicilians if you know the history it's much worse what he says
They killed Jimmy off on Boardwalk Empire cause the actor was being very hard to get along with on set and they weren't putting up with his BS so they killed him off. Everyones expendable in Hollywood...Slow your Role Jimmy..lol.
Stopped the vid when an irrelevant host turned up and wanted air time talking unnecessary dribble haha..
