I 100% agree if they use something like a French cleat to attach that cupholder not an armrest so it could quickly be removed or locked in place would make road mode so much better but honestly, there’s no sense for those armrest anyways because you can’t put your arm on them they’re just glorified padded cupholders
I agree that the cup holders are not needed not even considering the door issue, . I would see how it looks with both removed AND five pounds of cargo capacity would be beneficial to me.
I love the camper but I agree with the cup holder. Make it removable. Here's my 2 cents on the kitchen area for more counter space. Ditch the oven, put a 2 burner. Put storage underneath. If you have a microwave/convection, you are good to go for Makin ya a biscuit or 2. 😊 Lastly, I personally don't like a spare tire mounted underneath. Spare needs to be on the back somewhere.
Hang two Lagun table brackets on each of the corners of the couch / bed. Convert the bed room to two twin beds, replace front window to 2 single windows so hanging closet can be butted together with the night stands underneath
OMG you made me Google elephant head skeleton…thanks! lol this is a cute one! I do agree that they can have a swinging up smaller arm or something so road mode is perfect! We stop a lot on the road for a bathroom break! #rvnerdherd love it!
An RV loaded with quality standard features and an awesome floorplan with a comfortable sofa instead of a decades old “Denny’s” diner booth dinette💥💥💥If not for the tiny bed and very low CCC😬this would be👍👍👍
@@deepwubbinz7919 The countertop space is definitely nonexistent😂but at only 20 ft it does have decent storage space and at least it doesn’t have a tiny sink and a tiny 2 burner cooktop with no oven👍
Modify the arm rest to slide up and off and vice versa. I would prefer tandem axle and no slide ... I know I'm weird, I'm asl gravity friendly, so lower is better for me, lol
Great trailer for the size - that arm rest blocking the bathroom door when in road mode should be removable. Another great review from the nerd, much appreciated.
Either the accordion/folding door ... Or a door similar to the shower doors. Where it rolls up on the door frame. If they can make the shower roll up door opaque to avoid the see thru then they might be able to make it a dark color insteadm
As far as small campers go, I really like this one! For my two cents, I believe they need to modify the cup holder by the bathroom door. Thank you Josh!
Josh, this video is what got me interested in this model and just bought one, we live in Colorado and bought from "The Great Outdoors", couldn't be happier. Thank you
Ah congrats! Great pick! mind dropping me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review in return for the helping hand? It'll cost you nothing and I'd really appreciate it
The armrest that keeps the bathroom door from opening in road mode could be simply modified a couple different ways: 1) manufacture it in a triangle shape (as the couch armrest of the Salem/WW 171) and permanently mount it, 2) have it mount with shelf like tabs that insert in to a track, then slide down an inch or so into place (as chain lock does on a hotel door). Super easy mods for the factory to do that wouldn't add any cost to the RV. I'd also move the fire extinguisher from the knee knocker bed side spot to the blank space on the other side of the door beside the counter. Could also use a light above the stove, unless there's one built in to the stove hood.
Wow! Love the xl vet fan. This is the nicest samll camper I have ever seen! The counter top is a little small. Love that is has a oven. Most campers don’t have a oven now. Love the black out Shad’s. Wish it had struts on the over head door. Like the sofa. Over all it. Thx josh!
A removable or just no cup holder on the end of the sofa would be better. There are cup holders in the fold down arm rest. How many cup holders do you need if you have those and a table? I need the bathroom accessible in road mode more than I need 4 cup holders by the sofa.
Maybe exchange the lagoon table for a fold up table. I would prefer the stove be away from the refrigerator, so my frig. doesn't have to work harder to stay cool. Yeah, remove the cup holders or use velcro just in case the slide out doesn't work. Also add mud flaps.
Thank you Mr. Nerd. I think if this were available when we bought our ROO 233S, we might have gone with this instead. Maybe... would scrap the table and put in a free standing/folding table so my wife and I could eat a regular meal, and not a snacky-snack thing. They could've trimmed 3" off each side stand and put in a Camp Queen. I would not object to a dinette with a bench seat on the outer wall, free standing table and a couple of chairs on the other side. That would fix the arm rest blocking the bathroom door too. I can see making a slide on and off bracket for the "arm rest" a great idea. The arm rest could stay there while traveling and in an emergency potty situation, slip it off, open the bathroom door and slide it back on when you are done. Schwinteck - grrr....
Such a perfect setup for couples. My suggestion to Rockwood/Flagstaff make the couch armrest removable so you can open the bathroom door while in travel mode.
really like GP/EP, we just need to decide (when we move up from the 15TB) on 19FB or 20, but without slide (not sure if 20 comes without Slide). Like the full time bed but like a small dinette instead of the table. But its not a show stopper. Need to definitely need to do more research. Then again, based on your top 5 TT improvements video, will need to research those as well. Every year new features! You got the best RV review videos on the market. Nicely done. stay safe!
I wonder if the door to the bathroom simply needs to be switched to the other pull. So instead of opening and pulling towards the couch, it opens and pulls towards the fridge. The radius to open should clear the couch arm then. Downside would be slamming the door into the fridge, but as a couple models, seems easy to live with.
Thanks for your great work, Uncle Josh! I am big fan of the E-Pro/Geo Pro 19FD (no slide)...I only wish it were just a little bigger...I am just scared of a slide out and potential problems that go with it. PS ...Josh, your jokes are hilarious 😂!
Love your content and appreciate the way you give facts. You have requested comment of needs for improvement. Enclosed Underbelly, increase to 8 ft wide trailer like GD Imagine AIM, offer same layout but with queen bed true size 60 x 80, allow power package option to be able to keep 13500 btu ac not forced to only 11000 btu. Be the leader in manufacturing that does more in making the effort to offer better than the next.
@Josh the RV Nerd at Bish's RV Have them modify the door, so it can swing out with the shape of the armrest (like a separate section). I hope this makes sense!
Being able to remove that arm rest is a great idea. I love the GeoPros, but I would like one that is a little larger. But I am limited to 5500Lbs, so maybe a GeoPro is the way to go.
This particular model seems to be made for the budget minded, or newlywed couple. A double axle would be more stable for towing but starts to cut out the budget minded mode. Storage is adequate for the size of the trailer, and if more is needed, there is space to do so. My biggest concern is to remove weight from the slide. The cupholder end is only around 3 pounds total but couldn't removing that effect the balance of the slide over time. Why not put a folding half door on a rail to solve the road mode issue. Removing the armrest only gives 4 to 5 more inches of room, and for the more robust, that still might be a tight squeeze. Having it fold into the bathroom wouldn't interfere with the slide at all.
Something is small as that cupholder armrest is not going to mess with a slide if it’s removed. That wouldn’t be an issue. Every time the slide goes fully in or out. It automatically performs a self adjustment when you hold the button. So no worries there.
Bathroom (apart from shower height) is best feature. Surprised there isnt a drop down counter extension. The smaller bed is likely a blocker for us sadly.
I totally get it. That bed is a challenge for a lot of people. If you don't mind the RV getting a little bigger, then here's a couple of options with a similar layout and a lot of the same features: ► ua-cam.com/video/4e5X7V8YO6Y/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/-AXz0z7Zv3k/v-deo.html
Agree with everything you’ve said. Would like to see more comfortable seats in the slide. And the front a murphy queen size bed. But need the GVW under 4,600 lbs. The rear ladder, the bottom third should flip up, to keep unauthorized people from climbing on it.
I like the square deep sink. I dislike that so many are doing an oval one. Most van lifers ditched the ovals and went to the square deep sinks and vans are smaller
Figuring out a way to get into the bathroom would be awesome! Also, there really is no prep space or much storage space for coffee maker or other small appliances. Not sure how that would work due to size, just my thoughts.
Just get rid of the armrest. I have the Rockwood 2109S with the same type and when I sit on the couch my elbow is not close to resting on the armrest, only good for a drink holder. Also, do away with the outdoor speaker. I bring my own portable Bose which sounds 💯 better.
I agree that a slide bracket mount for the arm (as in lift to remove, lower to attach, just like a bluetooth speaker) would buy some very important bathroom road mode access! Also switching the doors opening direction to be hinged by the fridge would help once that arm was slid off. It should JUST swing passed the couch frame. Lastly, my commiseration for your ordeal! It's got to be the weirdest thing to not have hair yet get hairs in your mouth! 🤢
@JoshtheRVNerd The extra .. made me chuckle and remember at the 1 year mark with my cat (we just hit 4.5) I told my family I'd ate so much cat hair at that point I might as well be a lesbian. 😆🙄🤣
Wish they would nix the oven and just put a convection microwave there where it would be within reach. Microwave is currently too high for us short people
So much good stuff here but they spoil it for me with the silly low height in the shower. I understand they want to save weight but the shower is almost unusable for anyone 5’10” and above. I’d much rather they add 3-4” to the side wall and not have the double truss roof. Also if they used a 5000 lb axle the CCC would be more reasonable.
Given the weather this time of year we need to keep things locked to avoid doors being left open in the weather It’s shocking how rarely guests close rv doors behind them

This camper needs a full dinette and I would love it. The couch is unappealing and the Lagun table is too small to eat at as a couple and the table has a limited range of motion. Room for improvement.
Nice but still falls short of the Surveyor line. No pantry, no flip up counters, make the couch arm rest to either flip up or removeable for road mode. No option for a dinette, no privacy curtain for the bed. Do like the twin LP tanks, the rear storage and the stinky slinky holder.
The logic escapes me. vault the ceiling. then stuff the shower in the corner where the ceiling is the lowest and the shower pan is further limiting vertical space. But put the dump station in the middle of the floor where the ceiling is highest but will often be sitting anyways. better yet just make the whole thing a wet bath. criticisms notwithstanding it looks pretty good for a soloist like myself.
josh i bought a Rockwood geopro 20 fks based on your recommendation could you or have someone do a winterization/de winterization video on that unit it's a little different with the separate antifreeze inlet thanks
If they want to control costs, why not make the entire camper made of aluminum frame? Could they have made the bathroom door go the other way in order to use it in road mode?

Prefer floating table, remove or make removable the cup holder by bathroom so you can open door in road mode.

Yes Rockwood please build this with the dinette option in the 20 and 19fbs!!!
Has a nice set up for a couple with options that could easily be changed to fit their needs
Maybe a single parent / child situation.

I don’t have a vid on that apologies
How about the door opening into the bathroom? Or even a bi fold door.
The bifold may work
@@JoshtheRVNerd my uncle Gary has a tendency to get trapped in bi fold doors, it's funny every time.
If they want to control costs, why not make the entire camper made of aluminum frame? Could they have made the bathroom door go the other way in order to use it in road mode?
The skeleton of the RV is aluminum frame, so I’m not exactly sure what you’re referencing?
I'd prefer a steel frame myself. 32 years welding and manufacturing .
The chassis is steel but the Skeleton of the body is aluminum. Steel on this would weigh a great deal more
Maybe a bi fold door?
That may actually work
Bathroom pocket door....sold
👍🏻
Maybe a flip-up armrest?
Something..
Need to remove that glorified cup holder by the bathroom!
