I used to have a problem finishing certain shows from that era because I didn't want them to end... Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and Clone Wars (×3) had me crying my eyes out, but it was worth it knowing their journey was complete...

I lost my sweet dog of 7 years yesterday... I held his head against my chest as went and I just cried. I held him and pet his fur as we drove out, and I can't believe my sweet boy is gone, I'll never see him run up the stairs again, I'm never getting another chance to take him to the park, and I'm never going to wake up to him next to me. God dammit, he's just gone and I'll never get him back. I wish I spent just one more afternoon with him, fuck studying, fuck exercise, just one more afternoon running around with him and id be happy, but I'm never getting that afternoon and I'm gonna need to live with it. He died, and I held his fragile body like I always did, close to my heart, soft and delicate, but he was gone, his chest still, his breath ceased. It doesn't matter how much I cry, how much I miss him, I'll never see him in my room again, and I can't believe it. My little boy, the one who loved me and needed me more than anything else in this life is gone.

This song makes me think of all the good memories that I’ve made in the past. They stay in my head like antique photos of better times, reminding me of what I used to be instead of what I am now. And I love those memories, but they make every experience melancholy when I think that these experiences will be put below or next to the others in my mind, always being a memory of the person that I was at that time.

One of my greatest friends passed away a few months ago, and I didn't find out until a month after she had passed, yet I always feel connected to her when I hear this song. I never met her in person, yet sometimes when I listen to this, I look over and see her sitting beside me, and I know it's her from her welcoming aura. However, I don't know what she looked like, but I don't need to, I know it's her. She was the only friend in that group that would always check in, make sure I was okay, and then she was gone and I didn't realize it until I saw her lover move on. It hurt immensely, yet I'm not sad, I know she's with me everyday, for I know what her presence feels like when I'm sad.
I think that's what happened to my friend. Angel was one of my closest friends. This was our song, it was supposed to comfort me, it makes me cry. I don't know if she is alive or not. It's been months. We never met in person either, this was the last thing we sung together. I just hope she's alright. I'm sorry for your loss.

Two years ago, I was in a scenario where basically all of my friends decided to “exile” me from their group, because I was queer. And Adventure Time ended, this song hurt so much. I didn’t have those people in my life anymore. Then during summer one person texted me asking me if I was ok and how I was going. She said that she didn’t hate me or anything like that. She told me she wanted to stay friends because she didn’t care that I was queer. I didn’t believe her at first- since I told two people, then those two people told like every teacher. So after a round a month I believed her and we’ve been best friends since. With covid and quarantine, we couldn’t hang out. She’s busy so she doesn’t have a lot of time to text, so she thought she would lose me. We hung out and talked loads. I sang this to her and I explained why I hated it at first but then she was there and then I loved the song. She cried. We now have this thing where I send her little videos about stuff I’m doing, and vice versa. I realised how much Adventure Time had impacted my life. Thanks for coming to my Ted Talk.

I have a childhood friend but she moved out like last year or two years ago. It's still a pandemic so I wasn't able to say goodbye to her, which I regret badly. She visited me again because she needed a partner for her homework and it was a dance thing. So of course I said yes because now we had a excuse to see each other. We were practicing, laughing and sweating. We were drenched in sweat which made me remember the past. I remembered we would either play inside her house or play outside, we would go back to our houses drenched in sweat. Time felt like it was flying because I finally felt happy again, a happiness filled with laughs and talks with someone you knew for so long. But she needed to go back, she wasn't in the same house anymore. I can't see her everyday like we used too, the fact that we would also go to school together and also go back. Now I don't have anyone, It feels lonely now. The time when we were happy, when I was happy with her. I can't let her go because I miss her so much. I don't know if she ever cried to me. I don't know if she every misses me but all I know is we were having fun together at that time. My childhood friend, my bestfriend for so long. I miss you, take care don't forget me and I wish we had more time together. I wish you were still here so we could play again and have fun. Please I would love to see you happy in your new home but it feels bitter that I'm not there anymore and maybe one day I wouldn't be your bestfriend anymore. It's childish I know but I can't stop myself. I really do want to go back in time and have fun with you. I will forever be grateful of you when I had met you. Long POV: With heavy eyes, you start to wake up on a comfortable soft chair in an unfamiliar, yet warm and cozy room. You slowly get up and realise you were in front of wall with what seemed to be a rectangle screen. Something felt different with this one though. You couldn't wrap your mind around it, it felt weird but in a way that made you feel warm inside. It felt welcoming. With a comfortable blanket and pillow covering you, in the corner of your eye, you spot a glowing light coming from the screen. You quickly direct your attention to the screen and see multiple figures in the screen. It looked as if they were walking right to you, right through the screen. As if nothing was blocking their way, and that's what's happening. A group of familiar silhouettes walk through the screen. Your eyes, face and body are greeted with a warm glow. You looked down at your hands, wondering what possibly is happening. Then you hear a voice say "Hello y/n, it's nice to finally meet you. Do you remember who we are?" questioned a friendly and recognisable voice. You hear another voice say "How are you, y/n? We hope we were able to make you happy." You slowly look up and see. . . every character of every show you have ever watched, even ones that you sort of forgot until now. "Why are you crying?" You took in those words and touched your face. You were crying. Why was that? You realised, it's because you could finally meet the individuals that made you feel happy. They all made you feel special.
"We all enjoyed our time together, we were able to feel more than what was just seen from on the other side of a screen. We felt happiness, sadness, excitement, and so much more. You mean so much to every single one of us, y/n. You may not realise it, but we all appreciate you. We love, care, appreciate and accept you, just like how you treated us." You feel as if something is in heart, it felt. . . heavy, and it didn't feel as pleasant. You then realised what it was. It was sadness and so much negative and sad feelings. All being piled up, feeling it in every inch of your heart. So this is how they felt when they described what they felt when they were feeling this way. "So this is how it feels, huh?" You question yourself. Still crying, with your face stained with more and more tears. "We were always able to see how you felt, how we made you feel. It gave us a feeling that we wanted more of. This song has immense meaning to me. My best friend of 3 years just...fell out. I never knew why, but i see her with someone new, someone better, someone she's happier with. I'm happy for her. But I just wish I had some closure. I wish I knew why. This song has helped me move forward. We're not best friends anymore, but at least one point in our lives, we were. I cried so much, (still feel sad to this day), but I guess a new adventure awaits me.
Am a loner , i've always been a loner with no friends.. its cartoons and tv shows like these..which kept me company, which were my friends , my whole world. This song is making me feel so melancholy, my favourite friend who always used to comfort me is leaving our college and I’m never gonna see him again. I felt so uncool compared to him but he always used to give me hugs and be such a sweet support system for me when the others just complained. I hope you do have a great life, Z. You really do deserve it, please look after yourself (I’m quite worried about him tbh I’m protective and shit but he makes a lot of depression jokes and things and it’s gotten v graphic before)
He leaves at the end of this month. I’m going to have to survive a final academic year without him and then I’ll be off to uni, probably without anybody familiar. I just hope he enjoys whatever he does, it’s so frustrating that I can’t be with him and see what happens :((

I followed adventure time since the beguinning and was a big part of my childhood. I cried for weeks when it ended.

From all the way back to when i had my earliest memory, I had 2 friends named Chris and Logan. The 3 of us were the best of friends. Adventure Time was a show that really brought us together. Every day we would show up to school and summer camp and sing the main theme together. I used to be completely infatuated with all the music from the show. When my family stopped purchasing cable and never purchased it again, I couldn't watch any of my favorite shows anymore and i was sad. I ended up watching the first couple episodes over and over again on xfinity on demand over and over again. Eventually, as friends tend to do over time, we all split up and went our own way. Logan split off much sooner and Chris and I were best buds for a while after but our separate interests eventually split us up some time while in high school. Now at age 20, I haven't spoke to Chris in a few years. I hope he is doing ok. This show brought us together in a way I'll never forget. Thank you Rebecca Sugar.

I found my way back here again it seems. Now that i think of it, it really is sad that i don't talk to those guys anymore. I miss Chris sometimes. We spent so much time together as best friends. From my earliest memory to my senior year of high school we spent our whole lives together until one day we just didn't anymore. It's melancholic in a way. I have new friends now that love and care for me just like I love and care about them but if i cold go back for just a day and relive the glory days of my childhood, I wouldn't waste a moment.

This music reminds me of my best friend, Ethan. He was one of my best friends in school when i was 14 years old. He always play and hangout with me everyday, he always help me on works, and he always give requirements for our project. On the next day, he began to get symptoms like headache and a fever, i told his mother to bring him to the doctor and getting him checked up for diseases but his mother didnt checked him up to the doctor. until the next week, he later died because of the disease called dengue fever. i was very sad and i could still remember all the fun i've ever had with him.
