This past winter I was in a promo video shoot for downhill fat biking at a local resort. They gave us lift tickets for the day, 4 free lift tickets for the next year, lunch, and even had bikes for people who didn't have their own. Look and ask around and you might find something similar to try it out.
@@Projectnortheast Just curious, what fat bikes were you guys riding? Since the lift wasn't running, was it tough biking up the hill with those fat bikes?

All depends on conditions... I had one in the video that I went too slow, slipped a pedal just enough to smack my junk... when the snow has a crust its softer landings for sure... but for this video it was either powder or mashed potatoes which made steering out of em interesting

Wow the pinkbike drop was such a send! Nice work man
Blog and vid will hopefully be on pinkbike soon... 🤞
Also... I didnt hit pinkbike... Tucker did... I chickened out! I got first on Tombstone though
Dude I can’t believe he sent the pinkbike drop on the fattie, in the snow.

My thoughts exactly. I had nerves on my Session DH rig lol can't imagine on a Fatty with sub 150 for travel.
Absolute madmen
@@LakerStud33 actually it could be 150 mm of travel if you're using Mastodon pro ext plus 30 mm of tire travel) 180 mm - almost DH hardtail:)
Nice video and nice Drops!!
That is ridiculous! Looks like much fun!

Awesome video and riding skills!
Loved this ! Wow the traction of the Bad and Lou's ...impressive! I use D5 rear and WC front and those look even better
The bud and lous are just fantastic... been running them for about 4 years and refuse to change
Looks like a lot of fun !

This is incredible.... and now I want to upgrade the Bluto fork on my FB
believe it or not the biggest send in the video by my buddy is on a bluto haha... I just don't trust it that much so I upgraded
This looks like so much fun! I would love to do something like that one day. I live in the south, so kind of doubtful, haha.
haha ya kinda hard without snow! I'll trade you year round weather for biking in the snow though ;)
Maybe a new iceage is coming, of course it doesn't really look like that happening either.
I group of us wanna do the Winter wolly in Feb, is a front fork a must? Currently on a ridged Surly...

Sick footage
wow happy fat biking
Fork seals OK? Serious question since some say you'll blow them in the winter. It must offer better front traction too.
No Never blown a fork seal out...
Manitou forks are designed and tested in Wisconsin it’s been fine for me

I dont... one of the guys had some in the rear tire but the main 2 or 3 riders in this vid did not have studs

I can’t wait to move to east coast with my fattie. Currently running at 120mm of travel. I guess I can bump it up to 140mm. Does it get icy?
what bikes and tires were you guys using? looks like you had pretty good traction in those conditions. great fun vid thanks for sharing.
