LOCATION: Imperial Ave and 53rd St
CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:
A white Saturn Solstice and its driver hit a street light sideways and brought down the pole. The driver suffered major injuries and was transported. The Police were originally told by witnesses that it was a hit& run, but now they are not sure on that. The Traffic Accident investigators are coming and Imperial Ave was been shut down in both directions.
Kudos to these men who always work so hard, selflessly helping people out of serious accidents.
Do you see how many Rescue Workers there are and the millions of dollars worth the equipment to save one person’s life. Life is precious and should never be taken for granted. No one is guaranteed tomorrow. God Bless everyone involved in this accident.
That's because Fire departments only have a few people per truck or ambulance. Looks like a huge response but in reality, it's standard for that type of call
What a fabulous job by the first responders!! Hope the driver is completely healed by now.
Good work from the rescue crew! That generator, though.... needs some maintenance, from the sounds of it.
Great job to all the firemen/woman..Your all HEROES!
Those guys are amazing. The got the gentleman on back board and out of the car, no problem.
Hope he's ok. Shout out to San Diego fire dept. You guys are awesome. Hard working men!!! ☺
And women.
I like the names of the two firefighters trying to free him in the beginning.
Bash & Masters.
Amazing work God Bless them
Glad he’s okay. Thanks for documenting.
Pretty sure that's it was a Pontiac Solstice, not Saturn as you said in the description
Yeah I noticed that as well, but a Pontiac solstice is also a Saturn Sky. They’re the same car. He just mixed it ip
Was a Pontiac.
What a great job they did rescuing that man
Speed was the factor.
Agree! Shocked and glad he survived!
Bless the EMS workers.
The fire dept did most the work
At least in my city we do both sometimes we even go inside the ambo w gear on.
God bless firefighters
Jazz is calling Optimus Prime! Jazz: Save me! Optimus!
He had to be flying when he hit that pole!! That is NO 20mph "bump"!
Lucky to be alive that's hard crash.
Modern cars are an amazing piece of engineering with lots of crumple zones, air bags and seat belts. These collisions look a lot worse then they are for the occupants. If this was even 20 years ago it would be a more grim picture. The single biggest weakness of a car is the drivers behavior. Can't wait for self driving autonomous cars to mature as a technology and take the human element out of driving.
Phillip Mulligan You better hurry up and wait then. That’s probably not going to happen for at least 10-20 more years.
Well, if you’re going to wreck . . . TOTAL IT.
So funny this is recommended, I live and Work in an E.R. In San Diego and recognize that medic unit, and medic student haha.
No driver airbag deployment ?
Steering wheel bag deployment isn't the answer in all crashes. As this was a side impact, the sensors likely never triggered and it would have been useless anyway.
@@mikeL5183 Yes, I think you're right.
Yes great job to those firefighters! God Bless you all!
Did anybody notice the guy pick up the cutters at 2:40 to use them with no hoses connected then the video skips lol. I remember my first day on the job :) In all seriousness though guys, well done. Greetings from Australia.
There are no hoses with them. They're Hurst eDraulics, battery operated tools. The cutters to the right of them are the same.
@@greyman686 Negative. Rewatch at the 2:40 mark. The tool he picks up is hydraulic (hence the dangling hydraulic lines...). The two purple sets on the left (with gray battery pack at the rear) are battery powered Hurst models, sure, but the one at that time stamp absolutely is not. If you're in fact correct, then this would be the first time I've ever seen a battery operated tool that has hydraulic lines and no battery pack.
@@idahomike True, one guy did pick up a set with hydraulic lines, my bad. The other guy at 2:40 picked up an e-draulic tool.
I see these videos, and it makes me think
How can people just not care about their own life or others?? Why put yourself in a situation where you can and will loose your life. I see how horrible the cars are left and can’t even come to an understanding of how!?!?
LUCKY DUDE . HE SHOULD HAVE AIMED FOR THE ROAD INSTEAD OF THE POLE . WEIRD HOW THESE ACCIDENTS OCCUR
On the 7th day God did not rest. He made firemen and EMTs.
Holy shit.
Wouldn’t have happened if he was driving a Cadillac
I never understood ppl who drive small ass 2 door cars. SMH
Smart car.........
For the FUN!
Looks like he just bought the car.
Sexy lil Solstice....Daddies gonna be really sad. Hope he heals quickly.
Wow he backed without a spotter 😳😂😂😂😂😂
Looks like a Hot Wheel car!!
That was a nice car tho.....
Nice job people he is lucky to be alive now the stupid question all the turnout gear looked brand new or are they able too wash them...........
I wash mine after every fire.
Hopefully the white Saturn Solstice didn't hurt anyone other than the driver. You know, you can't trust man made devices anymore. 😅
Pontiac Solstice
When flexing goes wrong
Honestly
Pontiac solstice very unsafe car! Very small car not built for safety. I work in autobody don't buy one!! Crushes very easy! JUNK....
Pontiac Solstice
any faster car, he would be donzo
Why does it look like they had the body bag ready to go on the gurney...
I appreciate and enjoy watching these rescue videos, just wish you wouldn’t zoom in on victim’s faces. They deserve their privacy.
If you're going to speed along a public street and crash into a light pole, privacy is moot.
He stole his Girlfriend's car and couldn't handle the pedals being so close together, karma dude.
