We need to give thanks & gratitude to the US Navy Corpsman who was driving by and 2 SDG&E employees who assisted until rescue arrived. I thank these folks from the bottom of my heart as they could have just left this guy sitting under the truck by himself. In a day when others are finding time in their life's to loot & tear away at the core values of our cities, these few folks found love & compassion in their hearts to help somebody out who was really down on his luck that day. Awesome story with a great ending. Thanks 911 Video News.

He had an asthma pump. My husband has asthma and an attack can come out of nowhere! Perhaps that’s why he lost control of his car. That wheezing sound he was making only asthmatics make. Poor gentleman, I wish him all the best and a speedy recovery

As a severe asthmatic... the crash is so intense it most certainly caused the attack... the first responders should have got him on oxygen the second they saw the inhaler.

Exactly. The poor guy was in a panic. Who wouldn't be after taking a ride like he went through. The scene of him grabbing at his inhaler makes it all too clear. The truck came up on the spinning car on the ramp & couldn't avoid it. Thank God everyone made it out in 1 piece. That was 1 tough ole guy there as you can see he's also trying to help himself get out of the car.

@Joenald Bum Where did I say i expect others to do 25 and merge into highway traffic at 40? Don't think I did now did I? I mean that is the posted limit, well actually 30 not 40. I expect people to keep control of their car and maintain their lane of travel. All I said is people drive that curve way too fast which results in people drifting at the apex of the curve thus resulting in this.
How about you graduate your keyboard warrior skills to a post where its more worthy of your useless skills. Yet another added to my block list.

Good job to the quick rescue SDFD. As they said, "it could have turned to a recovery of a body. No car is a match to semi. I wonder who had the medical emergency to cause that. The trucker had a bent left steer rim and tire or the car had the emergency which caused the semi to take emergency evasion procedures to cause the damage. Good save.

I remember an incident I was in Kenniwick, Washington. I was pulling piggy back new semi x3. I was fixing to go down a 7% downgrade when I saw a state trooper with code 3 lights and siren. I put my flashers on and moved to the shoulder to start slowing down. I'm already going down the grade when immediately a red sedan with 5-17-19 year olds pass me at a high rate of speed, immediately jumping in front of me in the shoulder and slamming their brakes on me. I ended up locking up and jacknifing with a 3 way which is exactly like pulling double trailers. I'm light and locked up trying to stop to avoid a fatal rear end. I ended up slamming the guard rail and taking it with me into the drainage ditch. I nearly grazed them and ended up in the ditch almost to the point of rolling over. I breathed a sigh of relief that I would not have to live with the guilt of 5 deaths on my conscience. The teens were charged and I was acquitted of any wrongdoing since it was caught on dash cam on the responding incoming state trooper. I totaled 3 trucks valued at $120,000. Huge financial loss to my company but no deaths to haunt the rest of my life.

That’s why you NEVER drive in a BIG rig’s BLIND SPOT because you NEVER know what they’re going to do..... I’ve seen A LOT of motorists drive & changing lanes without using their f**king signals and/or for those signal but the other driver won’t let you pass but once you pass them they speed up & you off. I think this is one of the case... No sympathy for both drivers.
