So good to see a South African gardener for a change. I've become fed up watching American videos where their climate and terminology isn't the same as ours. So thank you.

Great content. Thank you sir. What month is best to start planting so you can harvest in time during winter season.
Hi Modeline, thank you so much for watching and for the comment, I truly appreciate it!
We are currently still in late autumn so I if you plant your seedlings now you can harvest some crops in the middle of winter. But those that take longer might be ready early spring, since plants require more time to grow during the winter time. It is advisable to add an addition 20 days to the growing days. Please see the approximate growing days for each crop:
- Broccoli and Cauliflower - 65-80 days
- Cabbage 60-90 days
- Carrots -65-80 days
- Beetroot -55 days
- Kale - 40-80 days
- Swiss chard -50-60 days
- Broad beans -90 days
- Spring Onions 60-65 days
- Peas -60 days
I hope this helps!
