Not bad. glad to see someone out there using both teflon and pipe dope together. I would recommend removing all old teflon tape, then wiping pipe dope off after threading into fitting. just one way to make it look that much better. soldering tip, wipe your joints before you think about adding solder, thats why your getting those runs. other then that looks good.
good job,, i enjoy your plumbing videos but then again, i have always found plumbing rather relaxing and satisfying work.. FYI the watts FR version is supposed "freeze resistant",, the FR has a built in relief valve for expansion when water freezes,, however,, the damn things will still freeze.. you said it right,, those things just need all the water drained and preferable dried out with compressed air.. the FR will freeze and burst in anything other than a short term flash freeze.. .. best to go with the QT,,, the built in relief in the FR is prone to leak,, as though it really matters,, they are both good BF preventers... We have always had good luck WATTS products,,
Looks like your customer found ya on u tube (like cool).. I heard him say well he was going to repair it himself & order parts internet, I always tell customer well u may Not all ways get any warranty or support because home burned it up or cooked it. You handled that good Good job Steve....
Do backflow prevention assemblies have to be tested and certified every year like they are out here in Washington. I install, repair and test many of them where I work (all types and sizes). Mostly RPBA's though.
Thanks Steve....I will be using for pvc irrigation in Florida. I now feel comfortable that I can diy this.
