I love, love your home. It’s so cozy and inviting. I love the view from the windows. It makes you want to set and daydream. I love the peach painting because it brings back fond memories. I married in 1964 at the age of 15. We rented a small 2 bedroom house in Dallas. One of the first thing I did was subscribed to The Dallas Morning News. I felt so grown up. I received that paper every day until they went out of print. I was so sad. It was a special treat that I looked forward to everyday for years. We celebrated our 60th Anniversary in October. Hugs from Texas
Love , love the basket of peaches below the painting. I have done the same with an old painting of a black and white bunny with an old blue and white cracked stoneware platter. It is framed on the wall in the kitchen, and underneath I have a shelf with a black and white wood bunny, a small flow blue plate and tarnished silver tray. Seeing the replication is so charming to me. Your peaches look perfect in that basket! Your home is like a warm hug! My favorite is always the kitchen! Those window shelves are such a focal point. Love all your copper, and stoneware and glasses. And you always cook the best dishes. That salad sounds so good on a hot day like this. I think we are down to 95 today!!!!!! And its so nice that you don't worry over the kitchen looking lived in, with the little chips and dings. Thats what a true home is.
No one told us a stained concrete floor that costs $200 to stain would cost thousands to grind off, take a month to do, and be level for the first time ever. My summer decor looks like I hoard, because each room is either empty or over crowded! Thanks for the tour. It probably lowered my blood pressure to watch!
I laughed at the kitty story, I did a similar thing with sister and I in a hammock, wanted to see if I could bounce her out, broke her collarbone 😕, what was I thinking 🤔 . She still loves me! ❤. Your home is so cozy and comforting!
I relate to kids because I can actually remember thinking those things. Kid brains are just different. My sister left a pretty serious scar on me, and I still love her.
I love your home and how you decorate it. I've noticed that you don't have curtains or any other covering. That amazes me. I'm sorry if I'm being nosey.
Not a problem. Our house is situated where we have lots of privacy except for the front of the house. The bedrooms upstairs on the front of the house have curtains and blinds. We have blinds in our back bedroom and in the bathrooms. But because the house is so small and I love looking out into the garden, I prefer to leave off curtains.

@stonecottageadventures304 thank you for answering my question. I appreciate it. You have a lovely home.
I am so lazy, I decorate in blues and never change for the seasons (blue feels seasonless to me) but maybe I should 🤔
Seasonal decorating is such a great way to rotate all those items I don't have room to display.
