Everyone is on about this ‘edutainment’ script process and now everyone sounds the same. You are one of the few doing it your own way. Looking forward to it if you get around to it!
I love this "doing stuff while talking" style. I doubt most people will understand how hard this is to achieve. To make it look casual and fluid...very hard.
Daaaaaang! You know how sometimes you see athletes or artists doing their thing and thinking "meh, I could do that too"? They make it seem so easy because they are so good at it. This is how that felt. Kudos brother
This is THE PERFECT way to record this type of video...keep the shots changing. So many people will just sit in their office/studio and do one long boring shot. Well done.
Being a UA-camr is like running a business, you always need to give your viewers what they want. You can't become complacent at any moment. At the end of the day, toughest part is definitely starting your channel and growing it up to the point you become successful (and honestly if I haven't used a lot of Famester, I would have quit a long time ago. It was a proper life-changing experience for me, and once you become successful it is a great tool to control algorithm).
Eu sempre vejo exatamente esse comentário em vários vídeos sobre como crescer no UA-cam e, agora, estou achando que realmente é uma estratégia para vender websites estilo famester...
I must admit, I zoned out during parts of this video. Not because it wasn't actually useful, common-sense information, but because the constant scene changes were even more engaging! It wasn't over edited, or flashy - just simple, straight forward audience engagement. Forget all of the "how to grow on youtube" gurus, this right here is how it should be done. You sir, have just earned yourself a thumbs up. Well done!
It’s credibly impressive how you’ve kept the tone/voice of this whole video the same but in so many different places?! This video is so engaging & great advice! Thank you!
I think you're the first UA-camr who didn't approach this subject by trying to sell me something (VIDIQ) or wasn't all doom and gloom about UA-cam (pretty much every - mostly large - UA-camr). On that alone I'm subbing.
Well, I hope my videos start getting views. You literally spoke to me with the part when you said you make something you think is amazing and no one clicks on it.
The edits on this are so good! great job switching up the film angles too it was nice to have the changing background. I think that is one thing that trips me up is thinking linearly like everything is one piece instead of realizing it is a bunch of smaller pieces all put together into a cohesive story.
My friend told me to just make more videos like my most popular video. Considering how popular it still is and that the quality was relatively low it shows that do what you're good at that a decently sized audience resonates with. Quality and quantity will naturally result while you grow
You earned my sub bro thanks for the great advice. Love the way you delivered it and love that. You actually film the video in the way that you’re talking about instead of some other UA-cam education channels that are just sitting behind a desk.
This!!! Dude, exactly what I needed to hear. Thank you for making this. Been struggling to break through because of lacking most of what has been mentioned in this video. Thanks again man.
Hello from Cali! UA-cam recommended this video and we are glad it did. Great information and straight to the point. Thank you for sharing your insights.
i am literally on the verge of stepping away from my channel as i fell so stuck. but i think i needed this video as it really brought me a new perspective as to why i may be getting the results i have. thanks for creating this
Incredibly well done. The slick editing and scene transitions alone are highly captivating. Great delivery and highly knowledgeable too. Really, well done.
If I'm going to view a review of a camera I click on genuine one ... not sponsored one, so your Peter McKinnon example is invalid. Lately tons of people reach to smaller creators for the reviews, because small creators usually pay with their own money for the product so their reviews are more genuine.
This video is so wonderfully to the point! I am a teacher that I feel is very talented at keeping students engaged. So why the hell am I not doing the same thing for my UA-cam channel videos???? I can't thank you enough for helping me see the simplicity in this. I didn't say it would be easy to execute, just simple in concept.
Yeah, I need to get out of my office and film in other places. I have graphics and titles and all, but the way you mix it up really keeps the flow going!
Hey @YCImaging, I've been missing the kind of content that first drew me to your channel, so it was great to see this video! It's clear that you're reconnecting with your audience and focusing on the genuine, insightful content we love. I hope you keep sharing more videos like this that really speak to your community. Thanks for staying true to what makes your channel special!"
You are correct, there are so many videos that talk about the same thing (weather new camera, phone, microphone ect) that most of them all talk about specs which gets repetitive to watch as a viewer or they have the same style year after year, plus all this fast pace content is making our attention span worse over time. Very good video! I enjoyed your advice!
Thank you bro for your insights. As a new channel, it can be challenging to see slow growth, but we're committed to pushing through and never giving up. To all the new content creators out there: keep going and give it your all!!
I did EXACTLY 2:20, when i started, one thing i noticed is MOST camera and filmmaking channels have the one embargo video, and stop, so i made 25-50 videos about the same damn camera lol
Bro so smart, I believe the tons of videos I made on the a6300 back in the day did a lot for my growth. It build a community around the piece of gear itself.
Great content. I've tried scripting over and over again and my videos come out nearly unusable every single time. It causes me to go super robotic, screw up constantly, and the process becomes an absolute nightmare. For me, I've found that very short bullet points to make sure I cover all the topics, combined with just speaking like I'd be speaking to a friend using the knowledge in my head is the only way I can make videos. It takes me out of the robotic presenter mode, relaxes me, and allows me to speak from the heart.
I think I saw you a few years ago, and kept seeing your videos pop up. Can see the growth and I'll say the last couple vids I have seen from you have been really nice, great change of pace and your hard work is paying off. You made it look easy. Shot selections were nice, audio was on point. Kudos man! Ohh yea, smoothest transition to the sponsor shout out ever!
Dope content, bro! Love the transitions, sound quality, background changes, and the points! I took notes and plan to implement the strategies! Thanks again!
Wow! I've been subscribed since the GH5 days, and I have to say, This is the sweetest video I think I've ever seen from you - REALLY IMPRESSIVE (also beautiful - including the message). This really showcases the talent you have and your aesthetic eye. Fire!
Excellent work Bro. Full view. This was so helpful for growing UA-camrs like myself. I'm going on 5 years with less than 3k subs but this gives me hope.
Dude I love you man. At first I was just like not another one of these videos… but your vibe, and genuinely smart ass lmao love it. Thank you much love man. Keep being awesome 👏
Major shouts out to you bro! I'm learning alot from everything you said in this video and im starting to implement some of these skills into a couple of my recent videos
Badass video. A lot of value and will begin to implement this for my first video. Getting into doing something I should have started ten years ago. Better late than never! Subscribed 👊
All I have to say is, This video is awesome! Thanks for putting the effort, the quality of the image is wonderful even in my crappy monitor, the sound crisp and the content great! Thanks for not wasting my time! lol
This is really great to hear. I'm trying to add my own spin to my videos and create stuff that I'd love to watch and people like me would love to watch as well. Thanks a lot!!
Really enjoy your content. It’s so realistic and easy to follow. & entertaining lol.. I’m great at story times and trying to find a different way to deliver instead of just sitting there in the camera. Really good tips. 😊
I am new into this UA-cam game, and watching your videos has encouraged me more. I am into motivational content. It's not easy to get the subscribers and the watch hours. I am about 15 subscribers. But I am encouraged more after watching your videos.
Like this comment if you’d like me to make a video about how I script.
I felt the wet butt on the bench situation. That was an accident and real. Glad you didn't edit it out.
Neeeed it
Yessir! Let’s get it ❤
Everyone is on about this ‘edutainment’ script process and now everyone sounds the same. You are one of the few doing it your own way. Looking forward to it if you get around to it!
Yes please
I love this "doing stuff while talking" style. I doubt most people will understand how hard this is to achieve. To make it look casual and fluid...very hard.
It's really just like filming yourself while you're speaking on the phone with someone.
That segway into the storyblocks sponsorship was smooth AF
The first time I didn't skip past a sponsorship clip :) Big UP!
Maan I did not see that coming 😂
Daaaaaang! You know how sometimes you see athletes or artists doing their thing and thinking "meh, I could do that too"? They make it seem so easy because they are so good at it. This is how that felt. Kudos brother
Haha. I totally feel this because I think this all the time!
Totally agree 👍
P.S. Everyone isn't a creative, creator or social media influencer. Most are just people with an iPhone and camera.
"What do you want to watch?" That's just such a valuable way to get people thinking in the right direction. Really liked this video.
That was a really good question to ask ourselves. There are so many great pointers in this video. I like the idea of scripting first.
This is THE PERFECT way to record this type of video...keep the shots changing. So many people will just sit in their office/studio and do one long boring shot. Well done.
Yeah! And don’t forget the subtle kenburns, golden hour shots and perfect shades framing. Really good stuff.
This video & editing was fire 🔥 appreciate the insight

Great comment, and thanks for sharing about Famester. It looks like a really great tool.
What’s a Famester?

really enjoying these advice videos youve been doing lately with making every location feel cinematic. keep it up bro
I appreciate you checking it out!
The 20 seconds that follow from what YC says at 05:32 basically sums up my whole TY experience! Solid advice👏
bro the cuts look so natural. cant imagine all that work. great content

You’re in the zone bro. I hit 160k subs in 6 months using everything you touched base on. Keep it flowing. 👏🏻👏🏻
How did you hit 160k subs in 6 months? Any advice for a beginner?
I think you're the first UA-camr who didn't approach this subject by trying to sell me something (VIDIQ) or wasn't all doom and gloom about UA-cam (pretty much every - mostly large - UA-camr). On that alone I'm subbing.
As a new content creator/UA-camr, you always have the best advice man. We all appreciate you so much!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Comment, I agree 100%
Yeah it's hard being new on UA-cam
@@themarekch yeah man but we just need to keep on keepin on!
@Unlockfilm that's exactly right. 💯
I love how you speak so naturally with us and not at us. This is such a great approach. Appreciate the solid info too!! Subscribed🎉
I love the change of scenery all throughout the video, super inspiring thank you!
Damn, your content is on point. Do you remember your script, or are you going off the top of the dome? Where is the teleprompter, man?? 🤣
This ⬆️ dying to know! 🥰 excellent video
I’ve applied so many of these tips to my videos and loved how you broke these down. Nice to get reminders of the work needed for success. Great video!
Yo!
Well, I hope my videos start getting views. You literally spoke to me with the part when you said you make something you think is amazing and no one clicks on it.
It’s part of the process, really just gotta keep going!
Loved all those shots in the golden hour light! I really like your voice, it has a lovely warm tone.

Info aside, I liked this video because you sat on a wet bench. Very human and relatable and funny.

Appreciate this knowledge you passed on, I'm one of those UA-camrs who needed to hear this, thanks again.

Fantastic info! I do exactly what you mentioned in the end and have so much editing to do. Thank you so much for sharing!

Nice & simple❤ straight to the point.
