From what you told us, it sounds like the cleaners were the ones who started it, and the roidfreak's disrespect was appropriate for the situation.

Did have this moment of self awareness after the stream when I thought about it. The day after I went in to the gym and asked the receptionist about it.
To add context: turns out the whole fight started because the roid guy accused the cleaner of stealing his gym towel and water bottle. CCTV apparently later proved that he'd just left it in his locker, then forgotten which locker he'd stored his stuff in and immediately jumped to blaming the cleaner who was in the changing rooms at the time
