People come up, trying their hardest ( obviously not everybody is and also them trying the hardest doesn't automatically mean it's good ) and then you make them super uncomfortable by asking super personal questions about their sexlife or their marriage / kids and THEN you shit on them HARD. For entertainment and probably to feel superior. Like all comedians they have some trauma / past that they try to compensate for. Why in hell would you want to be famous and well liked by randoms, if not because of an insecurity? It's typical bully behaviour. Just like cops who abuse their powers and uniforms and what they stand for. It's not something an upstanding guy would want to partake in. Look at how Jordan Peterson was able to be funny and not an asshole (and many other comedians who were guests, weren't necessarily mean or assholes even though they made fun of the bucket pulls - think Adam Ray for example.). I've wondered that too. Like if Tony's wetting his beak for every other show they do by taking a booking fee. Or if he just does it all for his ego, as if he's a top notch talent scout and kingmaker. These Comedians are the biggest frauds out there , Rampage jackson who gets punched in the head for living got the shtick very quick in the matan podcast and made it enjoyable.
Yea cerebral was funny. There are some smart comics, but most of them are very experienced and he's not one of them. There's nothing to really ponder about someone whose jokes are purely going for shock value.
The Austin scene doesn't have enough talent to regulate who deserves shine. The lack of depth in those comics is starting to show. When these guys venture out beyond the kill tony ecosystem they struggle to bring value to comedy.

Yup... I enjoyed it at the beginning (when I started watching I mean), but it gets really stale... From all of the handicapped people whom you cant even understand when they talk (which when you do, sometimes have good sets, though) and the regulars who are just pushed into some sort of "THIS IS THE BEST UPCOMING YOUNG AND RISING COMEDIAN", which they aren't any of the things and most of all: They're not funny. William Montgomery is one of THE WORST to ever do it, just to name ONE.
Kill Tony lives off of bullies enjoying watching other bullies shit on people that are trying to prove themselves. It's a repulsive thing when you think about it. People come up, trying their hardest ( obviously not everybody is and also them trying the hardest doesn't automatically mean it's good ) and then you make them super uncomfortable by asking super personal questions about their sexlife or their marriage / kids and THEN you shit on them HARD. For entertainment and probably to feel superior.
Like all comedians they have some trauma / past that they try to compensate for. Why in hell would you want to be famous and well liked by randoms, if not because of an insecurity? It's typical bully behaviour. Just like cops who abuse their powers and uniforms and what they stand for.
It's not something an upstanding guy would want to partake in. Look at how Jordan Peterson was able to be funny and not an asshole (and many other comedians who were guests, weren't necessarily mean or assholes even though they made fun of the bucket pulls - think Adam Ray for example.). Tony often crosses the line. Even his fanbase in the comments roasts him for being a little bitch to someone and being unnecessarily mean to them and unfunny in the process ( which is the worst offense for a comedy show).
I agree with you. Kill Tony is probably THE WORST THING that happened to comedy. Just like Joe Rogan ( and I love his podcasts with scientists for example ). He is a HUGE figure and has insane amounts of influence and it seems like he is trying to be "just some guy", but I think he's actually running away from his responsibilities as somebody with an audience of that size. You cannot afford to be "just some guy" and "his friends" "shooting the shit". Because whoever he pushes into the spotlight, becomes rich and famous...or infamous (Schaub). If he really loved comedy so much and had thought about it for more than a second, he would realize that he is singlehandedly destroying comedy as an artform.
The only comedians that get huge nowadays are the ones HE embraces and wants to be huge. Everybody else gets fuck all, because it's basically impossible to break through into the mainstream, without being best pals with Rogan. See Shane Ghillis. He was great, he is great and he was nothing and nobody until he was Rogans friend. Now Matt is blowing up ( deservedly so ), but only after being one or two times on Rogan and Kill Tony.
It's a shame that they don't seem to realize,. that they are becoming / have already become the new mainstream media and are doing basically the SAME SHIT the legacy media did. Give it another 10 years and it's gonna be just the same, just with lower production value.

Comedy is a window into the soul - what makes you laugh reveals a true piece of you. And when you make a joke, that you think is funny, and nobody laughs, it's shattering. David Lucas receives text messages claiming to be paid 10k, and yet does not secure this in actual legal writing, forfeiting any rights to a reward by appearing at all. He also clearly didn't watch the show at all, which is an obvious slip-up if it's gonna pay you 10k. He runs out of jokes after the 8th "your jacket looks like you a gay priest" doesnt land the same anymore, but for some reason gets a lot of stage presence when he's around. I don't get the appeal.
He should have gotten the money up front, but a text message is in writing & could be binding, especially if a bunch of attorneys hired by his rich family come calling. It's very fact specific, but even verbal commitments can be binding and legally enforceable in some cases.
