Toriyama doesn't even write Super now. How he's handled is down to either Toei or Toyotaro, with the anime and manga versions. The most Toriyama writes these days are the movies.
Piccolo recently becomes his favorite along with goku. When he was writing Z, it was solely goku. Piccolo became one of his favorite post-2010s otherwise he was just goku alone
I always loved the moments Vegeta and Goku had in DBS, and DBZ wouldn’t have been interesting without him. His character is just perfect. Vegeta is the 🐐 of Dragon Ball.
As a writer myself, I think it's pretty common to have one character that you just hate, but come to love. Or at the very least, tolerate. As a fan of Dragonball Z, that character Vegeta as well. But over time I came around because he's come a long way since I was a kid. While he's not my absolute favorite, he's managed to worm his way into my top 5. I'm glad he stuck around, and I hope the same remains true until the very end.

Vegeta hands down is the best character in DB, he’s seen the most growth and although he’s a powerful Prince, he’s actually more down to earth and human than Goku is, just his fear of pissing of Bulma makes him so relatable. He’s a good father, husband and will protect Earth with his last breath, that’s hella growth seeing as though he came to destroy it. Hands down Legendary character. 💯💪🏽

Feel like this was worded poorly. Toriyama didn't "hate" Vegeta, he found it difficult to write him into the story because he planned for his presence in the story to end as a one-off villain. That's why Toriyama became more comfortable in writing his relevance to DB as time went on. Y'all acting like Toriyama is out to beat Vegeta's ass out of hatred or something.

Toriyama doesn't even write Super now. How he's handled is down to either Toei or Toyotaro, with the anime and manga versions. The most Toriyama writes these days are the movies.

Vegeta gave the series a new dynamic. Many don’t like him but he is a great character.
He straight up made one of the most well written characters of all time.
As a writer myself, I think it's pretty common to have one character that you just hate, but come to love. Or at the very least, tolerate. As a fan of Dragonball Z, that character Vegeta as well. But over time I came around because he's come a long way since I was a kid. While he's not my absolute favorite, he's managed to worm his way into my top 5. I'm glad he stuck around, and I hope the same remains true until the very end.
