I thought you always tinted your own vehicles. Mark you are not afraid of spending lots of money. Hopefully UA-cam starts to compensate you enough. I was able to get my 23 c8 for MSRP after waiting 2 model years. Sold it to another dealership for what I paid after 9 months. Fun car and black looks good congratulations Mark
i think you got a solid deal, interest rate is a little high. refinancing when they drop down a little will help but the fact that you get to break it in yourself is def one of the best upsides. brand new c8 for ~$70K is dope, 1lt trim wouldnt be my first choice but id prob pull the trigger too. needs a big wing!
Obviously this has to do with interest rates being very high. This is a “Let’s go Brandon” moment that everyone needs to recognize. Remember when gas was cheap and we were energy independent?
You got a good deal man . I have a '22 Z51 coupe , Mag ride , 3LT , Black with Black/red stitch/carbon fiber interior and I paid MSRP at $86k. (out the door was $92k ) Awesome car !!
Bought my 2022 at MSRP, the Chevy dealer out here does not mark up, sold it last Dec, got another on order at MSRP...I cringed that the tint guy did not put a water bib on the door panels...that's how professional shops work...my first C8 was red mist, my 2nd will be black.
Happy for Mark as that’s what he wanted and at the end of the day it’s his money not mind. I will still say that’s crazy! I got a 2019 Silverado RST with 4k miles in 2021 for $40,000. Paying $600 a month for 72 months with a very low interest rate. Can’t imagine being stuck with $1300 for 84 months at such a high rate in this economy. No financial freedom…
I've seen way better spoilers on new corvettes. That little one must go. Adjustable one would be better if you like to control the downforce. Love the corvette so sexy
Great deal bro. Yolo. I paid a $100k for the car of my dreams. It was worth every penny. Paying over $3k a month. Makes work hard. Congrats on bagging a nice ride and great video. Plan to add one to my fleet. Hoping to get Zo6 but will be satisfied with the c8. Hands down the best car for the money. You can pay more but you won't get more
I can say at least your being honest about what you paid. $3500 over MSRP (WOW) and you had to have the windows tinted. I wonder who got the best deal?
I used to sell cars, while his advice on getting the warranties to get a lower interest rate is good a better way is to just get a PRE APPROVAL(dont confuse it with getting pre qualified) by a bank you have good history with. They won't hold points and you don't have to feel obligated to buy warranties if you don't want to. And you can just ask them "hey i have a 4.5% interest from 123 bank, if you can beat that then I'll finance with your bank. If not I'll use 123 bank. If you don't do that the finance manager will probably say something like this to you "hey the banks willing to lower your interest rate by a point if you get these warranties because it'll show that the cars going to be "taken care of better" and your payment will stay the same. That's bullshit because they're now just showing what rate the bank actually sent in the first place. They call it "holding points" for the back end. 😮Back end being the finance and warranty part of the deal. The front end is the gross profit the dealership made on just the price of the vehicle/ your trade in. I always hated that part of car sales. It's basically saying "we don't believe in our product or our ability to sell it to you, so we're gonna lie and act like we're throwing it in and doing you a favor.
The stupid dealership I went to was greedy. I got the pre-approved letter from bank with a lower interest rate. The dealership refused to process that as they said my bank (BoA) takes too long to process. If I refused to use the banks the dealership was using. They refuse to sell the C8 to me and move on to the next buyer. Under normal circumstances, I would say F U and walk. But in this case, I agreed so I could get my dream car. The dealership used Golden1 Credit Union which is about not much higher than my bank (0.2%). So, my take is ... for this market on the hot car, the dealership caught me by the balls. heheheheh
Buying an extended warrantee when you buy a car is a big mistake because that extended warrantee starts at the time you buy it and not at the end of your warrantee with the car. It's like having two warrantees going at the same time. Makes no sense. You are just wasting money for something you already have.
Mine tint is at 5% for the two front windows. The tint was almost similar to the two small pieces of plastic fake windows in the back. I had the vehicle for over 6 months and I have not been stopped by COPS yet. I am pretty sure one of these days, I will get my fair share. Hopefully, I will be able to talk my way out of it. hehehehe
2023 convertible Z51 3LT fully loaded with every feature MSRP $114,000. Asking 20k over MSRP. Accepted 10k over. Taxes license etc etc. 135,000 financed at 6% for 84 months $1700 month. Advice: Offer MSRP and work from there. More and more are taking that offer. Mark did it right and got a pretty good deal. He got the low end car. I got the high end. Wish is was a Z though. Don't we all?
Bro please don't tell me you got gap coverage from the dealer anytime you buy a new car you can get it directly from your car insurance provider which is a million times better and cheaper
Nice ... Your C8 was at $3,500 over MSRP. I got mine in November 2022 for a 2023 C8. I paid $5k over MSRP. It was a fair mark-up at the time. Now, I think people can get it a bit cheaper like $2,500 to $3,500 over MSRP. My interest however was only at 5.09% ... It certainly made up for the extra $1,500 I have to pay compare to yours.
First of all, Well done on the color. love the black. my 2022 is the same color. Black everything. That being said, I honestly think you kinda got ripped off. 2023 has a price increase from the 2022 with no change plus you lost your trunk lock. 84k on pretty much a 1lt base car is not a good deal. You bought side skirts and front lip and rear spoiler that you arent content about. Another mistake you made was in house financing. you can get that much lower if you shop your independent financing. My inhouse financing offer was 6%. shopped my owned finance and it was 2.35%. 84 month loan is also nuts but hey you get to live once I guess lmao You should definitely cancel your warranty as these cars are pretty much rock solid. my c7 had 0 problems for the 7 years i owned it and 0 problems so far with the c8. for 84k, you could have gotten a 2lt or a z51 package. personally I think the 2LT is by far the best bang for the buck. My 2022 2lt z51 came out to 82k. it had gt2 seats carbon fiber interior. red and black interior. I get it though. its a beautiful car and you didn't want to wait. corvettes are longer getting 10-15k over msrp. they have been dropping to msrp in many many places.
First of all congratulations on a beautiful C8. Unfortunately you paid way to much for that car unless you get every cent back for those absolute unnecessary protection packages and warranties , if you get it all back please update your video and I’ll be the first person to say you did extremely well, dealers make enough on the bank rate and for what they get the car for, I can’t wait until dealers are all caught up and customers start pulling their pants down when they have leftovers on the lot and they have to drop the car 5-10k, if you order a car with that spec you are 6 months out for 1000 under MSRP but that’s if you are ok waiting, Z06 markups although I can understand are insane. I love the guys saying you did well because they are either salesman, dealers or people who have paid ridiculous markups and who are praying that they are not upside down on a toy! 😂 I have black as well and my god it will be the last black vehicle I will ever own. Enjoy your dream car.
IF I Needed GAP Insurance I wouldn't Purchase this, or ANY car AND I Would have financed with a credit union because they have, the BEST interest Rates with MUCH Better terms. Otherwise this is a very nice Car
1LT is ok on the convertible, but imo 2LT is worth it. The heated and cooled seats plus PDR, cameras and parking sensors/rear cross alert help every day when I'm backing out of my garage. You can't see anything out the back in the coupe...
Hopefully msrp. I got one at sticker. Edit: 3,500 isn't bad if you really wanted the car. I also paid 15k over for a c8 z06. Traded my msrp c8 stingray. Enjoy
I suggest you refinance at a credit union for 5% or so and cancel all those extended warranty and stuff if can.
Definitely wing first! Great pick up, looking forward to C8 videos.

Never buy anything from dealership, especially lifetime oil changes. ALL dealer adders are scams. Most dealerships tint windows.
