So sad to see what's going on at Everton i think you've stayed still as a club, back in the day i always thought Arsenal and Everton were very similar.

Doesn't care whether arsenal make it to the top at the end of the season or not, but the level of football has been seriously elite. the rotations and transitions arsenal have is so exceptional. its just an unmatured team in terms of experience and age but they override the high pressing opposition systems, and that's what i am happy for. With additions in 6, a winger and a strike partner for Jesus arsenal will be highly threatening in the coming years. only thing that will stop arsenal this season would be depth, nothing else if not they are going to the champions. exceptional work rate and good group of talented players make things bright for the future. 10-15 years ago Man City took all of Arsenal's good players and won the league with them....roles are reversing it seems. Look forward to seeing Haaland at Ashburton Grove in an Arsenal shirt in the coming years :)
Haaland will never be Arsenal’s number 9. Arsenal’s number 9 role is forever to be a victim and assist goal for his team mates. He saw it and liked it and tried to then put his own spin on it, why it looks like Peps idea is because Teirney struggles to play that type of position and plays as a wingback better, but since Zinchenko and White can play midfield it's easier for them to comfortably take those positions

for Arsenal fans who still have trouble understanding Arteta's system, i will explain as simple as possible. When they have the ball, they play like Man City, but they defend like Liverpool. Why Arteta wants his team to defend like Liverpool? The biggest factor, Arsenal players' tactical awareness and intelligence are limited to follow a pressing system so random and relying so much on player's senses like Pep's teams. Liverpool's system however, it is very easy to apply. For example, if Arsenal defend with a 4-4-2 high/mid block with Jesus and Odergaard leading the line. If the ball goes to Jesus' side, he press and everyone follows him, the same thing applies if the ball goes to Odergaard's side. In City, who is closest to the ball, he has to run and everyone follows, this requires City players sensitive senses and intelligence to know what to do, instead of an Liverpool's pressing in which the forwards are the leaders. What makes Arteta's team breakthrough was that he realized his team is unable to do everything City players do, so he seeks other things easier and suitable for his boys to bolster their strengths and cover their weak points. As a result, Arteta's Arsenal became a hybrid of creativity he inherited from Pep and intensity, discipline, hardwork he learned from Klopp.

They only predicted through Arteta's system and current player contracts.
@FriedIcecreamIsAReality not at the level of City players for sure. Liverpool's pressing system always has a solid pressing leader, usually Firmino and Mane (last season). He is the one who initiate the press, phrasing "where and when he runs, everyone follows him". Man City system has no solid pressing leaders, anyone has to play that role if he is the closest guy to the ball. Man City press much randomly while Liverpool press more systematically. To press like City, every player on needs superb intelligence to analyze the situation quickly. In Liverpol's case, the only one who has to achieve such ability is the leader, the other guys only have to follow him. That's what I meant.
@@quangtrungbui675 if Liverpool's pressing system is so easy why haven't most of the teams in the EPL not adapted it? Didn't Jesus and Zinchenko not train in Pep's system?

This is the closest analysis, there are many inaccurate ones out there. My only dislike about this style and formation is that sometimes, Odegaard and Xhaka are not coming deep often enough to be an outlet for passes. It puts too much pressure on Partey and the backline 4 to not get disposessed and to break the opposing press from the back. Just a small thought. Sometimes Partey and Zinchenko has the habit of trying to find a good pass and gets disposessed.
Maybe Arteta is confident in Partey's ability to implement this kind of approach. But the pausing to find a pass is still scary at times. A double pivot like City should work, but Ars currently have no Bernando Silva. Let's see if this still holds
That's mainly dew to zinchenko being able to invert into central mid offering support to partey thus offering our 8s freedom to commit forward.....with a lb like Tierney you had either xhaka or odegaard dropping deep bcoz Tierney is a traditional lb
great analysis. only thing im not sure of is when we our out of posses we normally sit in a 4411 or 442 and odegaard and jesus lead the press. if we press high saka will invert and press the cb and white will back it up. same with martinelli and zinchenko
Would be very interesting if you made a video on how to counter these Arteta tactics. In this video they appear to be really difficult to beat and they seem to have the answer to every problem but i don't think that's the case. Every tactical plan has its disadvantages, if you could highlight them and show how someone can exploit them, that would be great..
Transitioning is a major key here and main challenge for other teams,,the players now know how and when to swift themselves.. and that's being unpredictable.. i just love it that players coordinate smoothly and spontaneously
The disadvantage is they can easily exploit the LB if zinnia inverts but then again the CBs are soo athletic and quick that they will be able to cover quickly…the only way to beat the system is only if the planters don’t turn up..
@@Tom-nd1fs lol it's not simple as it looks on Paper. White and Gabriel are really powerful runners and Saliba has exceptional recovery pace. The games where Arsenal were exploited heavily in transitions were without Thomas Partey. Traore, Sterling, Zaha, Diaz Nunez Son who are have top level speed have barely killed Arsenal in transitions unless Arsenal made errors.
You explained exactly what I see on the pitch but did you know that sometimes when Saka receive ball he cuts inside which allow either Odegaard or white to run to wing side position to create more threat to opponents defense, it's what they have been doing .
With respect to the rest of players.. Jesus profile and quality is the most unique and hardest to replace (partey in 2nd place).. he provide so much dynamism.. great tactical understanding of arteta system, can play comfortably at various front position, quick, highly technical and surprisingly great physical strength in duel and ball protection. Can be trust to play both as lone striker or behind the main striker. The quality gap between him and eddie, lacazette, auba is just too big. The last great player arsenal have with such impact is probably sanchez ( sadly the squad was never fit enough for whole season in his time). In a hindsight, failing to sign nunez and vlahovic prove to be a blessing.. their profile would probably resulting in less fluid system. I wonder who is Edu targeting to be mould as next gabriel jesus.. must be hell of job.
Arsenal winning the league is down to the management finding a replacement for Partey. He is the most important cog of the team. Never before have I seen a team rely so heavily on one player. His defending and distribution is next to none in the EPL. If the team can't find a proper understudy for him when he's injured, we might as well kiss the league goodbye
This was good, didn't cover it all but good Now this season i'm worried about the team New signing has real problems in build up phase and resisting pressing
Hi @Football Made Simple what happens when Jesus drops deep but the Centre Back follows with him? I think that happened against Chelsea where Chalobah followed wherever he went
Martinelli/Saka plus Xhaka will fill in the centerback's hull. With their current refinement, a chipped ball or a deep pass is going to be sent to the one who just went there and initiate a dangerous attacking situation.
Definitely top 4, maybe even top 2. I've backed them since the beginning of the season after hearing Jesus & Zinchenko's addition, and they've contributed immensely to prove me right. I still believe that City will end up winning the title, but getting back to the Champions League was the goal from the start, and it'll be fulfilled if nothing happens in World Cup & players get injured.
@@loop808 City are turtles, they run slow but they always win. If Arsenal wins the EPL cup, this season must be carved somewhere to mark the day a humble team overthrows them beside Leicester City FC.
it will be set back for us, he is a good player, but we need a player that will respect and follow manager's instructions so that the team will not tear apart
To be honest I didn't trust in Mikel but he's disapproved me wrong. At first I thought it was Pep's decoy to keep Arsenal lagging behind as he supported so much the move for Arteta to the Emirates Stadium. What I'm waiting for is the encounter between the two this time around
This is just like 2013-14 season. Arsenal were on top before December then at the end if the season they finished 4th. Let's see what position they will be at match day 21.
Arsenal position like City and press like Liverpool. Also, they go long, when the need calls for it just like Liverpool, Burnley, Stoke etc. Defending in a 442 is a tactic from his days at Everton. Plenty people watching just assume he's Pep lite but that's far from it.
@@nelsonogiator7022 Yeah, he's willing to change the shape of the team and switch tactics to adapt to the opponent. Although on most afternoons they will dominate possession, there are and will be times where Arteta is willing to concede some possession. It's basically how Arsenal beat Liverpool and learned his lesson from the defeat at Old Trafford. He knew Liverpool liked to press, so he had the team drop a little deeper in their own half instead of playing a high line like they do against most teams (which is what City does). I'd wager that Arteta will probably employ that kind of strategy against City--stay deeper and disciplined in defense but aggressively counter, especially when City starts playing a high line.
Man took Arsenal which had 5 wins, in 18 matches to team which has 14 wins in 16 matches! Arteta is the best manager in Premier League and in the world, because Premier League is most challenging league in the world! Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Wenger, Ferguson, Ranieri, Conte these names were winning Premier League managers, if he pulls out this one it's gonna be incredible! Good luck neighbors! Hopefully Arteta pulls out this miracle, I love good sport, I don't care if it's my Chelsea, or Arsenal or City or Spurs!

5 points clear mate
That was really well done.
Solid both offensive and defensively.
Nicely done. Thanks.
Great content bro
This was good, didn't cover it all but good
Now this season i'm worried about the team
New signing has real problems in build up phase and resisting pressing
Excellent analysis, thank you.
Great analysis, thanks
Excellent content
Hi @Football Made Simple what happens when Jesus drops deep but the Centre Back follows with him? I think that happened against Chelsea where Chalobah followed wherever he went
Martinelli/Saka plus Xhaka will fill in the centerback's hull. With their current refinement, a chipped ball or a deep pass is going to be sent to the one who just went there and initiate a dangerous attacking situation.
Where will the Gunners end up?
Definitely top 4, maybe even top 2. I've backed them since the beginning of the season after hearing Jesus & Zinchenko's addition, and they've contributed immensely to prove me right. I still believe that City will end up winning the title, but getting back to the Champions League was the goal from the start, and it'll be fulfilled if nothing happens in World Cup & players get injured.
I'll say second in my opinion second I'm backing city to run away with the tittle once again
@@loop808 City are turtles, they run slow but they always win. If Arsenal wins the EPL cup, this season must be carved somewhere to mark the day a humble team overthrows them beside Leicester City FC.
Top 4 but i think if they keep it up for 6 games after world cup they could win it
win the league
WE’VE GOT SUPER MIK ARTETAAAAAAA!!
Video's are made brilliantly, I hope to have a channel as good as this someday!
But i thought ben white always stay wider, sometimes he overlap to receive bukayo pass
If we sign new players in January then we think as a real title contenders
Good video thanks.
Love this version FMS !!
Come you Gunners lets gooooo 🔥
it will be set back for us, he is a good player, but we need a player that will respect and follow manager's instructions so that the team will not tear apart
W-M formation, is one of the earliest formation in football.
Descended from Mighty Magyars to Jules Rimnet ideology to Johan Cryuff philosophy to Pep Guardialo tiki taka to Now...
Jesus christ! That thumbnail will haunt my nightmares 😄
Chelsea should also use inverted fullback... it's best tactics rn
I assume the table was from before this past game week. Arsenal are in front of city by 5 points rn
To be honest I didn't trust in Mikel but he's disapproved me wrong. At first I thought it was Pep's decoy to keep Arsenal lagging behind as he supported so much the move for Arteta to the Emirates Stadium. What I'm waiting for is the encounter between the two this time around
what software do you use for the tactical board? i'd appreciate it if you can share it. thank u
I would love to see xavi vs arteta in Europa
am i the only one who is in love with the fms intro in every video😂
Nice video.
you are giving opponents our secrets
You will be a good coach
This is just like 2013-14 season. Arsenal were on top before December then at the end if the season they finished 4th.
Let's see what position they will be at match day 21.
I really like this traditional tactic
New logo look nice!
Thank you!
Nice nice mate
Graham potter tactics analysis
he is the student of simeone
He still need to overhaul his squad. No need to discuss his tactics yet
What tactics 💀
Can you explain *how* Arteta stepped out of Pep's shadow? As far as i can see, the tactics are very similar.
Arsenal position like City and press like Liverpool. Also, they go long, when the need calls for it just like Liverpool, Burnley, Stoke etc. Defending in a 442 is a tactic from his days at Everton. Plenty people watching just assume he's Pep lite but that's far from it.
@@nelsonogiator7022 A very astute analysis.
By being number one on the table
Man took Arsenal which had 5 wins, in 18 matches to team which has 14 wins in 16 matches! Arteta is the best manager in Premier League and in the world, because Premier League is most challenging league in the world! Klopp, Guardiola, Ancelotti, Wenger, Ferguson, Ranieri, Conte these names were winning Premier League managers, if he pulls out this one it's gonna be incredible!
Good luck neighbors! Hopefully Arteta pulls out this miracle, I love good sport, I don't care if it's my Chelsea, or Arsenal or City or Spurs!
respect man
Now Arsenal has a chance to break a new record even the Invincibles can't lay claim to--become the youngest starting XI ever to win a title.
We've got Super Mik Arteta!
watching this makes me really understand why Holdung has to go...his not good enough on the ball so we end up inviting pressure bcos everybody has to drop back ....it really is system
Seriously unimportant comment but it should be 'fewer passes' not 'less'. Fantastic analysis though :)
I only want to see the highlights! There is already enough tactical summing up.
Here after the second united game. Zinchenko was awesome. Man crumbled. Still top
FMS answer to your question----Top Top Top💪 Gunners gunning for the title. Great team!
