Fantastic stuff! RIP the Shaman though. Having played one for a good long while and then rebooting the character as a Druid in the latest patch... yeah, agreed. The Shaman life is pain and suffering 😅 Love all the shout-outs to the various community members. I've learned some new names from this video! It is pretty reliant but ashen is a 9.3% chance to drop from the black sun exclusive helmet unique echoes making it a lot easier to get than it was in the past. Still can be a significant time dump for a new player builds but you can always just play static orb over nova until then - I just didn't want to make the video overly convoluted.
I always start Diablo-likes blind, but I also check out build guides later and restart the game several times with different characters until I'm happy. It's never intuitive with these games. There's always some trick or bit of illogic that makes great builds "great." Either that, or it's totally gear reliant.

Just started playing LE yesterday. FoE's Nova Boy looks interesting, but when I check it out I see that it completely revolves around a unique endgame item (Ashen crown) and doesn't seem suitable for leveling at all. So why do you recommend it to new players?

I believe ignite and smite would have the strongest ST but i'm not sure. I suggest talking to epoch builds about it as he would have a good indication

Bladedancer flurry got nerfed so I'd recommend the umbral blades builds, plenty of viable ones floating around

Ashen Crown is a lot more common now earlier on and target farmable. You can also just alter your nova tree to include mouse target.
