I've only started playing LE with 0.9 and watched quite a few "guide" videos on endgame, but this is the first time I've ever truly understood the Corruption mechanic and its implications. Great job at putting yourself in the shoes of players, who are really new to the game and might still be unfamiliar with things that others consider "basic information"!
The monolith system is an excellent example of how the devs listen to the community and change game systems based on feedback. In its original form you chose from two timeline maps when you finished a previous map, but players wanted more control over planning their reward hunting. The web system takes the original intent of stacking map difficulty and merges it with the request for additional player control. The devs always seem to have neat ideas on how to implement things.
Yes, I would say that the whole design of the game is on top. It is a pity that they do not have enough hands and money to implement it qualitatively. Everyone saw online at 40k, which is 2 times higher than the torchlight and is comparable to Undecember on release, but there is no monetization in the game, and this is very bad.
omg before I watched you I watched at least 4 different videos explaining how to have the Corruption because I just started doing Monolith and I just want to have an idea before I start so I will not waste time doing wrong things and you are the only content creator explained it very well and clear even I'm just listening and doing other stuff! lol I don't know why the other video's comments saying they explained it well but it doesn't. your video is already a year ago but still helped me a lot I hope you make more in the futures update!

If you're still playing this, and you go back to D4, something's wrong with you. lmao If you want to play another ARPG, and don't care if it's more complex than LE, try out Path of Exile. PoE's endgame is virtually endless with a TON of systems.
Great video. Very insightful! I know in PoE there's diminishing return on XP gain etc. And maybe there's other reasons. (I realize this might not be a question specific to monoliths, but it was one that came up while watching this)
Killing orobyss close to the crystal can reduce corruption, youll see the reduction ones more as your corruption goes up. There is diminishing xo returns (10levels difference I believe) but I don't think it matters too much, imo do as high a content as you can/want.

On my first play trough I completely missed Blessing Rewards. How do I go back to get those rewards? I´m playing a Hammerdin Paladin so getting the "Wrath of Reyah" (1.5% to 3% of Throwing Damage Leeched as Health) Blessing is kinda crucial to the build. Or has that nothing to do with the Quest Missions and Blessing Rewards? Any help greatly appreciated.
You simply have to kill the final boss of that timeline to get blessings - which is the third quest echo. The blessing screen pops up when you kill the boss so it's not possible to miss it! You may not get the specific blessing you want the first go but fingers crossed you do!
@@ZiggyDGaming Thx for the help Ziggy. I´m on my 3rd try now, still not the right Blessing but +41 Life ain´t half bad. Edit: 4th time I got the blessing with a whopping +2,7% Throwing Leech. Thx again Mate. =)

what i dont get is why some echos inside the timelines never unlock. Im lvl 70 atm and the lvl 56 timeline still has "grey" maps that I cant access, when i complete the map that links to it i just get the same map ready to do again.
Question, as I have not done end game here. Last Epoch has been stated as a game that you can put together a build yourself if you pay attention to what each item is giving you and stack it well. That idea usually falls apart in the end game portion. What do you do if during this playthrough your character is decent for a while but even with the blessings you quickly get to a point you can't beat the monolith you are on? When you die do you lose all the modifiers as well? If not then how do you go about progressing or is it just the end of the road for that character and time for a new build? OR do you typically get to experience a lot of the monolith end game with any build before it starts getting rough?
Dying in an echo just loses you the reward for that echo. You can still try again or go a different route and keep progressing. Sometimes you'll die and realise that route had a bad modifier for you and it was a bit too much so it can be a hint to try another route. At the other end respeccing to imrpove your build is pretty easy in this game. Most builds will be able to progress through regular monolith pretty well. Empowered is where you have to start getting more serious (but gear and blessings get a lot better too!)
@@ZiggyDGaming I mean I understand that all builds are not going to perform to the same amount in the top end game which in most games I don't care about as you can do all the game's content and have a chance at anything just not a higher number tier, but in this game if you can't reach level 200 corruption you cannot have a chance to even get some pieces you may be going for. I dunno, it took me a couple days to figure out to click the "quest" links on the left side of the map in the end game. Yeah I'm dumb, but hopefully this helps others who want to progress in the first echo but just keep resetting it.
As you complete echos you fill up a stability bar at the top of your monolith screen, when you get to each of the 3 quest echo markers on the stability bar you can run the quest echo on the left hand side of monolith screen. Beat them all to move across bridge to next area.

I am somewhat disappointed that the monolith seems to be completely character-bound. As an altoholic, is there anything I can do to get my new characters "caught up" with the empowered monoliths faster? In PoE you can basically jump right into yellow or early red maps as soon as you complete the main story, if your build and gear are good enough. In LE, do you need to clear through all the normal difficulty monoliths again on every new character? Or is there some way to skip them or at least make them faster/easier using your old characters? It's not necessary or worthwhile to fill it up most of the time. If your echoes are getting really hard and you want boss kills it may be worth it in good map layouts with lots of monsters.
Hi can I ask What is the class you are playing in your videos?
The main one has been Sorcerer (Mage) - using Lightning Blast and Elemental Nova
@@ZiggyDGaming thanks!
@@ZiggyDGaming Any chance you can share your build? Thanks!
technically u can do monoliths at level 35 but u need the damn skill point quests how do u recover these later?
You can just pop back into the campaign and do some more quests
GG!!!!!!!!
i cant get passed the first island. I beat the boss 3x have 3 rings, so wtf?
How are you getting so much ward? I know it’s your unique relic but yours seems way too much. Can you show the build please?
I would like to see this build too if possible.
I think you forgot to say that you should push up that corruption.
The rng can be brutal when you do a boss specific run 10 plus times and don't see the item u need lol
need glyphs so bad so always go for those echos.
I died in the arena. After two unique drop and stare at it. Dot killed me.
That's the biggest game deterrent losing a f.......ng reward when you die in is so stupid.
zig-a-zig-ah
Cool soggy playing last epoch
I have no idea what I am doing.
imo there is no such thing as true endgame u start then endgame when you or if you finsh the story lets face i imo u are aleady in the endgame
To avoid stacking up shitty mods. Open your own (blue portal) before finishing the objectives and use it after you've completed the monolith. You'll get all the rewards but won't be sticking those bad mods. The whole endgame system is trash imo BTW.
I saw the post talking about that! Interesting but definitely not intended and will probably get fixed heh.
Trash game. I want my refund.
nahh. still not free game 👎👎👎👎👎
