- In this video, Pete Thorn explains how easily you can reamp over USB with the Helix amp and effects processor if you are using it as your audio source and your audio interface.
HELIX
Helix Floor is the flagship amp and effects processor from Line 6. Helix Floor leverages dual-SHARC processing and HX Modeling to deliver the authentic sound and feel of vintage and modern amps, cabinets, microphones, and effects. Meanwhile, that same processing power lets you create countless tones that simply don’t exist in the analog world. The Helix Floor amp and effects processor also boasts the most intuitive and player-friendly user interface on the market. It includes a full-color LCD screen, ergonomically arranged controls, capacitive-touch footswitches, customizable scribble strips, and an onboard expression pedal. Four independent internal signal paths and extensive analog and digital I/O combine to provide nearly limitless signal-routing flexibility. The Helix Floor processor can also integrate external hardware devices, becoming the master controller for your entire rig, and third-party impulse responses (IRs) can be loaded to further personalize your sound. Plus, Helix Floor presets are compatible with all other Helix family devices-including the Helix Native plugin.

Thanks Pete. I knew Helix had this capability but, had no clue how to do it. Now I understand. Thanks for this very clear tutorial.
Thank you, mission accomplished then! :)
YES!
I love my Helix LT for this reason, and LOVE using my Helix Native to simply load a plugin onto the DI recording.
This way they guitar tone is "already there" and I don't have to re-record / reamp into a new track which takes time.
Best explaination iv seen
Thanks Pete! Simple and effective!!!!
Pete, cool to see you on Line 6 Movies. I alwaysenjoy how clear!y you explain what you're demoing. Thanks
Thanks! Hopefully these videos will be helpful! :)
Super helpful thanks!
Awesome this was the video I was looking for! Perfect
Very simple really
Definitely will try it!
Thank you, Pete! Love your videos
I'm always recording DI tracks. It's so awesome to be able to change the sound after that if I need.
So awesome!!
Sounds Amazing
Thank you for this video!
I really enjoy using programs like Amplitude 5, but there is something about a multi fx unit that makes it more like using an amp and pedals. It is nice having a piece of gear to tweak instead of just plugged into the computer.
Awesome.Cheers
Thank you Pete! Very clear and concise. What could be the issue if my DI signal is only being recorded with just one of the stereo channels?
I’m using XLR outputs of my LT via my sound card (Roland Octacapture) which give a stunning sound cause the Roland preamps add a pleasant color that I particularly love ..
how would sound the Helix via USB compared to the stereo XLR outputs.?
Thanks.
Fantastic! How do you record your desktop audio with the helix? ( I am using Ableton, I have my guitar on 7 the mic on 8, but I can't figure out how to record the "UA-cam jamming track" in to the live. Hope it makes sense and very much appreciated any input.
How we can preview first before we hit record button on new tracks? any posible to do that Pete? / Guys?
Can I cycle through my presets ? Without manually changing each input for reamping. Can I set all inputs Globally ? Thanks
Hello, why does the DI USB 7/8 ONLY RECORD ONE CHANNEL? there is no stereo?
It's incredible. Not a single video on this platform explains how to Re-Amp on FL studios. Whack.
Are there Pete Thorn Helix presets for sale? He did it for Axe Fx. 🪓
