God stuff man. I've never done this myself. Still confused but i don't record myself so.. just a hobby player. Keep up the good work Nick. All the best.
Glad to see u again and realized that u are a real man with focus in your business, no excuses e no major compromise than you private life, wich does not belongs to care a f... off anyone business. Luck of us that u are aparently in good health and motivated to new content here again. Welcome!
thanks to be back!! i used your previous version on this matter! made it part of my S1 template.........speaking of which............you shared your mixing S1 template somwhere?
Bro, read that damn manual up and down. Learn how ever parameter affects the tonal response. Sit, listen, compare. Use critical listening. Practice patience. Compare how amps in yours sounds to others. Learn METHODS and TECHNIQUES. Apply real world tone shaping (think real amps and real cans and real microphones). Take the time. Learn your gear. That’s all any one of these UA-cam dorks like me are doing and how can easily do the same. If you got a GT1000? Screw it, BE the GT1000 guy. Just give it a try.
Noce to see you back! Wanted to buy some of your preset packs but was wondering if there is anything hou would change to them for live use. Specifically bass
@@NickHillMakesMusic ah yea. I just go direct to foh and my monitor so I use an ir. Usually I stick with guitar but my friends band needed a bassist so this is all new to me.
I have Studio One 5, and somehow, I can't select the track as an output. Only folder bus.. Is there an other way to reamp with a pod go ? [Edit] apparently my output was flawed, I remade it and it worked ! Sorry hehe
Is the Helix good enough as an interface? 24-bit-96kHz versus the 192kHz of a dedicated interface? Love that it does stereo capture and reamping, but not sure if I should get an axe io one or volt instead 🤔
I never go above 48k and there are plenty of videos explaining the dimensioning returns anyhow. If you think up Inness something else because it’s lacking a very specific number of mic inputs, then sure. Don’t get something just because of a number on a spec sheet.
Not everyone owns Native, I assume you can come up with that conclusion on your own though if you took the time to be objective and not assert your own opinions on things and yes, the process as we know it in production is called re-amping. Some record the DI and send it out a DI box and go into amps. I suppose that makes the process more "legit," in your narrow view of things. Step back and try and be open to new things and approaches. A different take isn't an attack on the way you prefer or like to do things. This type of comment is not productive in my eyes. By all means, leave constructive feedback, but if you just wanna be a turd and troll, do me a personal favor... Move on. Thanks for the engagement none the less. Have a great day.
It is indeed USB channels 5 and 6 on the HX Stomp for the DI signal
My man, good to see you.

He's back!!! Awesome brother!! "I'm just going to record some nonsense". Then proceeds to lay down smashing riffs.

not gonna lie, it's nice to see you again :)
It's nice to see you again. Greetings from Ukraine
Hey man. Long time. Been in and out of hospital since I nearly died Nov 15.
I’m getting there. Good to see you’re posting again.
Cheers bro 😎🎸🤘
Get well Brother
Nick, LMFAO! You have some patience explaining this, and should be PAID a shit ton to do it! Cheers
Always glad to help even if it take me
months to get around to actually doing it :)
Life happens, we’re here now let’s get into it 🤘🏽.
Reamping can be fun… or hours of tone building
thanks to be back!! i used your previous version on this matter! made it part of my S1 template.........speaking of which............you shared your mixing S1 template somwhere?
very valuable information (and to the point) ...... thanks for not making it a 45 min video.
That’s my MO though so you’re lucky :)
I watch for info because I just bought a helix. But for some reason your voice just chills me out!
Was waiting for new content! 😅
Super helpful Nick, thank you! ✌🏻 Pretty sure I can handle this in Reaper, but that would be a good DAW for you to show it with. And it's free.
Good to see your vids again. Regarding the subject of this one, is it just me or the Helix DI output is kind of low on volume?
I wish there was a GT1000/Presonus video on this. It's different with each combination of processor/DAW

You’ll definitely need to tweak them for live use. Bypassing the Cab/IR block. Tweaking EQ moves for the venue/space. It’s a different beast.
@@NickHillMakesMusic oh you don't use an IR for bass live? Uh oh lol.
Well, it depends on if your sending to a cab for stage sound. There are a lot of variables
@@NickHillMakesMusic ah yea. I just go direct to foh and my monitor so I use an ir. Usually I stick with guitar but my friends band needed a bassist so this is all new to me.
Yep, that makes total sense!
where can i buy your presets?

Cool vid. Is there a way to adjust the level of the DI signal coming out of the Helix?
Can I do this but use studio monitors as the output instead of headphones through the Helix?
Sure. The world is your oyster

Any issues with latency doing the round trip?
None that I noticed
Did you see the latest Kohle Audio Kult Video? Would this work for turning a mono signal into a stereo with their method? :)
No. In order to get “Stereo,” you’ll always need to track at least twice, once for each side.
Just use the Helix Native plug-in, does the exact same thing .... also, can you really call it reamping when you're not amping anything?

Oh man… you look like a guy who’s in my band but hasn’t shown up to rehearsal yet hahahaha 🎉 hint?
Ouch
@@NickHillMakesMusic love ya :)
