I went to school to be a marine biologist (kind of) and I'm here to tell you: 95% of people who go to school to be a marine biologist won't find work in that exact field. It's highly over-romanticized and competitive. Not to deter anyone!! But it's definitely not all turtles and dolphins, and the pay is very low (IMO) for the schooling you need to go through. Follow your dreams though because at the end of the day, we always need more people who care about the environment.
