Beautiful Byron (10 years ago maybe) full of wanna be's and druggies now with a municipal council that charge for all parking in the town to revenue grab. BUT - yes there is plenty of other areas in the district that are awesome and so much nicer. I was surfing there in the early 70's and only just stopped visiting 3 years ago because of the negative changes.
Yep, those elements suck! My time in Byron is always spent in or on the water and at times it’s crystal clear with so much beautiful sea-life especially out at Julian Rocks.
There are also some awesome cafes and bakeries there but your right, the rest of it is a little nuts!
@@SaltyGypsea - was in Evans Head on Sat but after all the wet surf was still muddy. This is usually great time to surf and dive the east coast - Enjoy Spring Billy!
