Thanks for this video. I'm just now getting back into the game and I saw the Black Prior and was like, "This is my new favorite Character" but I kept getting owned by other people. I learned a lot and know I'm getting a lot better with him.
Went online earlier today, had a full Shugoki team. We stuck together at almost all times. Almost the entire enemy team s*** themselves even just seeing us. Except their Black Prior. That guy was a badass, and pretty much just couldn't die. Eventually it came down to just him vs. The 4 of us: The fight went on for 4 minutes, he was parrying almost every shot, dodging every grab, and even took down two of us (but due to numbers, he couldn't stop me from reviving my friends). Eventually, the guy finally went down to 3 unblockables landing at once. But considering it took a whole 4 players just a match the guy... I'd say he was a bit scarier than our team.
The long recovery for the bulwark counter is why I don't see the move as OP. And you can't get into it if you're being berated by attacks if you don't block and transition into it. It's a great move, but carries a heavy punishment if you miss, and it is, obviously, easy to guard break. My favorite use for this attack is being outnumbered, and when the raiders charge at you and try that tackle move. Pretty sure nothing will catch them off guard more than their unblockable charge getting flipped over.
black prior is a literal walking tank i main him but i never done this one of my friends that also main him took on a entire team and destroyed them like they were nothing and thank you reavyne for giving me a few more combo tips with him.
To me it's easier to 1v4 then 1v1 simply because its constant revenge, unless ofcourse they have a centurion constantly spamming you or a raider constantly charging you.

Man. Ubisoft has really created an interesting, intricate, intuitive, and honestly fairly well balanced (in that every attack has a clear counter for it that can compensate for any and every attack) fighting game. This game is still going strong after four YEARS now. This is amazing. And it's so easy to learn. You can go in and spam and slam all you want and you might win. But there's also these incredible intricate combo chains that do so many awesome animations and unique attacks. What a game
One of the best guides I have ever seen, very understanble and easy to follow. feel like I know everything with this character now but I just got to put that into practice so I can be consistent.
Theres also the fact that because you can instantly go into bulwark slash/ bulwark counter the second you enter bulwark stance to where the full block doesnt even appear before the move, and that you can go into bulwark after a light or heavy, and that bulwark slash counts as a chain starter, all of that combines into a “infinite combo” that he secretly has. You can do a normal two hit chain but follow up immediately with bulwark slash (or counter if youre under a lot of pressure) and then if slash hits or misses (wont work if parried or feinted of course) then that counts as the new first hit in his chain and you can now chain a light or heavy finisher directly after. Theres also another trick not mentioned where you can actually bulwark counter the attack part at the end of someone else’s bulwark counter. So if one of your teammates gets bulwark countered and you happen to be there and havent gotten caught in it too, you can wait until that unblockable slash at the end and bulwark counter that (and possibly save your teammate from the actual damage if you are before them in the attacks path). This is really good but also a little broken. I was in a breach and had the enemy team ganking me in 2v1 or even 3v1 sometimes and one would throw an easy to counter attack to bait my bulwark counter and the other one would be waiting in bulwark to counter my counter and they repetitively did that because they knew it was my only safe move in that situation. I feel like you should be able to feint the final hit of bulwark counter to save yourself from situations like that where you get anti gank busted and just get even further ganked.
Very good and informative the only critic I can make is I wish you would say how much damage each punish does but overall this guide was amazing I do realize sometimes he did say the amount of damage
Didnt help me personally as I figured this out already BUT for those who didnt know, it was a great video and think itll help a lot of people get a feel for BP or get better with them. Went over everything nicely and was entertaining watching you unleash Dahkness on the unwitting bot.

Another thing, whiffing the dodge forward heavy into a side light catches so many people off-guard. If you whiff it into a side heavy then you can start some mixups or catch dodge happy assassins.
I wanna get Black Prior bc he’s the only Knight I do not have and my friends say he sucks but this video helped me out a lot and none of them have him so I can catch them off guard
So am actual tip I wanted to point out is to play using a mix of aggressive and defensive play style to catch ur opponents off guard. You do this by applying pressure and keep smacking them with ur shield and then they tend to get overly aggressive that’s when u flip them.
I just bought the Black prior with 15K steel and I couldnt figure this character out. But I watched this video and it was explained and showed amazingly thnx a ton

If you get a gb then the oos punish from top is locking off and light to heavy, plus you can get a zone off of a parry. Also you can get two side heavies for the oos parry

Great vid. All i can say is they need to lessen the recovery time a bit cuz it so risky to use the flip no one uses it. Witch makes him boring to play in pvp cuz ur really only left with fairly safe attacks like bash and light.
You forgot to mention: After a heavy parry you can get a guranteed zone into a light instead of a regular bash for more stamina drain. (As always, love the videos)

Repeat until the enemy out of stamina and just few more times until he's dead. Mix with ocasional heavy from bulwark stance at your own discretion". OK! Maybe 10 seconds if you'd explain double light mix-up;)

Very likely conspiracy: They purposefully put in the bash exploit so the expansion buyers would get a pay to win character, like they have done before.
I find it funny anyone can think of him as broken. Yes his bash is spam able and annoying to deal with, but so are DAM TURTLES!! Every time i fight turtles i get massively frustrated in this game cus i just suck that bad. However, this guy is a turtle destroyer by just using one bash, he has also the range bash. Overall i feel he’s great to punish those who just play pussy defense all day without a single ounce of offense, and that’s always a win in my books 👌🏼.

Simple: find a way to abuse the fact your bash does 20 damage. Get your opponent oos and exploit the bug while it still isn't patched.

18:05 the top heavy is not guaranteed if you hit them at a wall that’s very close you have to wait for them to actually fall back on it
