So beautiful. I was at the University campus during mid 60s, visiting Library, convocation hall and studying at Department of Economics, Ashok Ranade heading the Music Department had organized concert by Bhimsen Joshi at the same hall and he sang rag Chhaya and others. Vivid memories

What a classical experience
Great combination of ambience, art and music. Many thanks to the Heritage society to organize this. I have been following Ankita Joshi for a long time( since art and artists days) and was searching for such a performance from her. Truly did justice to the raag. Great artist for her age, long way to go. Thanks to the channel and looking forward to more such ventures. Would be great if the raag details are also mentioned.

Ankita ji, mesmerizing rendition! Transported me to the musical heaven! Sublime! It would have been so nice if you had told us which Raag you are rendering! I am an avid follower of Hindustani Classical music but still only a "Kansen". Ramakrishna Karambelkar on Samwadini and Abhinay Ravande on Tabla - Wah Kya baat hai!
I am tempted to guess that it is Puriya Kalyan but again it sounds like Puriya Dhanashree! Can learned gunijan of Hindustani Classical enlighten us please? Details in the video description would have helped.

It sounds like Puriya Dhanashree, but does not emphasize P-d-m-P-G-m-r-G which is the signpost of Puriya Dhahshree. Instead has a G-m-D-N-r-N-m which is like Puriya but with P added. Knowledgeable gurus may please advise?
It is raag puriya Kalyan not raag puriya dhanashree
She doesn’t seem into it. Maybe an audience would have helped create the atmosphere.
