The second performance featured Hindustani vocal singing by Sawani ji. Sawani Shende, known for her melodious voice and expertise in khayal singing in various Hindustani classical music forms, was introduced to Indian classical singing at a young age by her grandmother, Late Mrs. Kusum Shende. She furthered her training under the guidance of Dr. Mrs. Veena Sahasrabuddhe of the Gwalior Gharana.

REACH, established in 1995 in Dehradun, has been organizing the Virasat Mahotsav in the city with the primary aim of preserving and promoting India's artistic, cultural, and heritage values. The Heritage Festival has played a pivotal role in reviving rural arts that were on the verge of extinction due to a lack of audience. It has contributed to the preservation of village traditions, music, dance, crafts, painting, sculpture, theatre, storytelling, traditional cuisine, and more, helping these art forms transition into the modern era and gain recognition. Virasat 2023 promises to captivate and transport attendees on an unforgettable musical and cultural journey.
