    Yes thats typical ktm, the more aggressive u ride the better it gets 😁👍🏻
    Though i appreciate in my AT that it also feel good when going easy, and going fast.
    Ktms are like u go aggressive or it feels like keeping tiger on leash and with time it can get tiring ;
    Cheers

    JoeJohnston471: My guess is that the steering head is loose. That seems to be a common cause of the clacking sound. The steering head has ball bearings. Rottweiler sells upgraded roller bearings for the 890, which should stay tight much longer.

    Thank you for sharing! But you have to tilt-up your camera. We need to see ahead of you, not just the tank ( I’m a professional cameraman who just wants to help you!)

      I was heartbroken when I edited the footage. I have it on a chest mount now, I can angle it up a bit more but would you recommend a gimbal perhaps ?

      Friendly suggestion if you’re videoing for an audience is to check your camera angle on your phone. Once you get used to where it needs to point, it won’t be a problem any more. I’d also say that a chin mount is better on a motorbike IMO, chest is good for MTB I think. Cool trails though.

    Hey Nick, very nice video!! Got my2023 890adv R a month ago and absolutely love it❤.
    Btw, is that mirror the large arm lenght from Doubletake mirrors? Do you recommend it over the smaller lenght? I'm pretty tall and I think the larger would be better but I don't want it to be exagerated heheh
    Thanks much!!

      I dont feel a need for it yet. Perhaps if I go faster or ride different terain I could see needing it. I had a bit of head shake under heavy acceleration on the road, however. I do not know what that is attributed to.

    Love my 2022 890 ADVR...but those stock tires are terrible at least in SoCal desert area where I mainly ride...looking at switching them out for Motoz Desert HT's. Also did a lot of comfort and performance upgrades to make bike usable...now it's really capable off-road as that is 95% of what I ride. Next upgrade is suspension...I am blowing through the stroke at speed and it needs to be revalved and resprung for my weight and riding style pretty much like any bike I ride I guess. BTW Arrow exhaust sounds good...I have the Wings exhaust and it is awesome...sounds great and is super small and light. Looks like a great riding area yuo have...we go to Colorado every summer for the high country single-track and love it!

      im a Motoz convert now , yes a respring and revalve are money well spent 4most of us more off road oriented riders

      I will defiantly be investing in a better set of tires they work fine on dirt roads but lack a lot in the aggressive stuff

    • @Angry-Lynx

      Don't get motoz deserts worst offroad tire i had, at least rear one. Nothing special in terms of grip and had very short life.
      Mitas e09 better offroad grips and lasted longer. Id take motoz adv or rallz

      @@Angry-Lynx Motoz tractionator adv rear and dual venture front

    • @DanielACroft
      @DanielACroft Рік тому +1

      I’d suggest looking up Suspension 101 if you’re in SoCal. Motoz fronts are a bit meh, tend to want to push and don’t have good edge grip (not to mention they cup if you’re running less than factory pressures. RallZ rear is a good compromise if you’re doing road and off road, D606 or GT723 front are pretty good. They still cup at lower pressures but have better edge grip than the motoz fronts IMO.

    Trail looks awesome!! In the background you can hear some clanking coming from the bike on the single. Mine has the same noise. Any idea what it is? Drives me crazy 😡

    Sounds brilliant, did you get any mapping done after getting rid of the cat? Was it needed? I'm thinking of de-catting mine, but unsure if it will influence mapping and all electronic gimmicks. Oh! and do you drop the tire pressure for offroad as per manual? I found traction is very poor if you dont... or is it just me?

    • @nickboyer4673
      @nickboyer4673  9 місяців тому

      I did not do any mapping after the exhaust seems to run just fine in my opinion. Tire pressure I am around 28-30 which is “ok” off road but I will be upgrading tires this winter !

    You said it sucks on the highway. Could you elaborate on that?

    • @nickboyer4673
      @nickboyer4673  Рік тому +4

      The bike does great on the highway! I just get bored and at 80 mph it’s right at 5500 rpm so it’s not horrible. For long distance (road) I would want the 1290 but I am very impressed with the 890.
