Sony A1 Video Capture Guide - The Complete Online Course: photoworkshopsandtours.com/index.php/product/sony-a1-video-capture-guide-the-definitive-online-course/
Favorite part: the Golden Hour. The photo’s and video are really very sharp, especially considering the TC. Good combo employed by a good photographer and a top-tier story teller. Great job as always! :-)
you are such a talented guy. your content is so far ahead of anyone else on UA-cam who's doing anything similar. im honestly amazed at the footage your getting. keep em coming buddy im loving it
Wow Mark, I've been watching your videos for over 2 years already and I cant help but to appreciate the amount of skill you posses and the amount of inspiration you've given me. Please keep releasing amazing content like this I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one that feels this way. Thank you so much!!!
I’m not sure what’s more exciting…you amazing images and video or your commentary! I look forward to your videos more than all the other photography vloggers combined! Thanks for sharing!
I have followed you for years, never commented. I must tell you that your videos are better than Nat Geo. The content, the narration of still as well as videos are excellent! I purchased a Sony A1 6 months ago and your advice and demos were a big part of it. Thank you Mark so much. What I have found with the A1 is at bad lighting - overcast days - in the shadow shots - the autofocus tracking is not reliable in these low contrast situations. (Using the 200-600mm lens). Also my findings showed the Nikon D850 shots with heavy shadows, exceed the capabilities of the A1 to recover details when editing the raw files of these very dark areas. I also thank you for your A1 setup tips - manual ISO adjustment on the dial and battery saving solutions. I pass your name to all photographers I meet at the many various locations I travel to. You are an asset, a talent, and an important part of my photography. Thanks again for all you do, keep it up!
Another outstanding video and photos. I love the photos of the skimmers and the golden hour and the water looking kind of gold. Wowed you are one talented person and we appreciate all the tips and videos thank you so much.
Woooooow! Awesome shots! I especially loved the ones where the water is not all orange but blue with these orange spots scattered around. That just looks stunning! Thanks for the amazing video.
You never disappoint Mark. Amazing footage of those incredible Black skimmers. These birds can be extremely quick at times and your panning technique is very well done.
Superb as always. When you are back from your birthday trip would you consider making a Sony A1 video set up guide - what are you shooting at, why…? There isn’t a lot of video set up info on UA-cam for the A1.
4:43 - is an eye opener on how precise the birds have to be considering the beak is that thin. 5:37 - seeing the pass finished in successful catch was perfect timing on your part. Also made me think how small each individual catch is, therefore requiring A LOT of work to fill one's stomach :) 5:42 onwards - proves a point that it's a good idea to scout your site prior to shooting - those bridge reflections were fantastic, liquid gold of the golden hour. Thank you for sharing your work!
Another amazing video and amazing behaviors! Amazing photos as always and breath taking colors. Your videos just keep getting better and better! It's inspirational!
Skimmers are as amazing as those last images are beautiful. I'll be definitely sending a link for this video to my friends. It always makes my day better when you release a video. 👍👍
Your video skills along with your photographic skills are sublimely undergirded by your story-telling! I love your videos; thank you for sharing your skills with us!
I love, loved that golden water photo and this was a great teaching video Mark. I also love to watch & photograph the skimmers, they are such unique birds. Thank you 😊
Mark, We have been waiting to see this since you showed us some footage on your phone that next morning. We went over that next night and the skimmers were there but not the amazing light you had. It was still and incredible experience to watch them. LOVED your video (as always) and hopefully we will run into you again, maybe at Conowingo. Thanks Bob and Susan
Excellent demonstration of the difference from harsh bright contrast light to soft and warm tones only seen when low sunlight is available. This variety also changes according to light penetration so I assume there was little or no cloud cover on that evening? Light is as always key to the way we see all life when even black can appear shinny white and defused light can alter the normal spectrum. Many thanks for your skillfully constructed images to show the wonders of light when captured in still shots to enable an in depth study. Keep sending such beautiful sightings we all love them together with your helpful commentary. Best wishes. Rob. B. - UK.
Amazing sequence of lightning. Keep the awesome videos coming. I always preview on my iPad and then rewatch on the 65 inch in 4K. Happy belated Birthday!🎂
Been watching from the start. Always such awesome content I literally look forward to every week hoping you’ll share a new video. You’ve gotten my spark for wildlife photography over a year ago & it’s an obsession now. I wish I would have pursued it years ago 🍻
wow! fabulous footage especially since it was taken hand held. yes the light plays a very important role in photography . keep the video footage flowing.
Some incredible stills and videos Mark, just fantastic. Thanks a bunch for sharing these with us, cheers from the UK. PS "Your fiancé " huge congrats buddy, wishing you both all the very best for the future.
Great video Mark. have done a fair amount of skimmer shooting and also know that if you watch them, they tend to get a fairly repetitive flight pattern which you can line up on. love the progression of the golden hour light. keep up the good educational work.
Flock of seagulls Conspiracy of skimmers Murder of crows Ostentation of Peacocks A Tidings of Magpies The names given to the groups is quite interesting. Great shots of those skimmers by the way.
Love your videos Mike. They are an audio-video treat with your great story telling👍👍😄 Impressive handholding technique with such a long lens and tracking moving subjects👏👏👏
Greetings from South Africa... Awesome stuff as usual Mark... We too get African Skimmers , but ours operate on our inland rivers and waterways. Unfortunately here, in Africa, they are now endangered, but always a privilege to shoot when we are in the appropriate places... Keep up the great work. Take care, and be safe outr there...😁
Yep - Awesome light. Mark, you live in a place where the sun goes down so quickly. The golden hour in Sweden at the Baltic Sea is so much longer. Perhaps you made a lot of great shot during that show time. Thank you.
Mark, Amazing videos and fabulous narration. I am about to head to Svalbard with the 220-600 and 1.4x teleconverter. I have been worried about hand holding the rig to get good photos and videos. You did an amazing job. Any tips or suggestions to share about how to do that handholding well? Thanks, John
Mark this series just takes my breath away. Since the colors are what makes these images (besides all the camera technique) I'm wondering what WB you use in the Alpha 1 and what Profile you are using if you use LightRoom. Thanks again and I was glad to hear of your engagement. That's just terrific news. Best to all.

It was nice to meet you today at the Saint Augustine alligator Farm and rookery. I look forward to reviewing more of your videos.
OK, you can handhold that thing, something mere mortals or perhaps the less gifted among us cannot. I stand in awe as usual.
Lol thanks lots of practice
Great stuff!

Hi Mark, please, is it possible to know what focus area you used? Thank you in advance...
Mark this series just takes my breath away.
