You’re a rare talent who combines photographic artistry with brilliant verbal communication. Learning lots and thank you for sharing your passion and fine work with us through UA-cam👍
Like your style... and wow what a video that was. Don't remember what I was searching for that bought me to this specific video but again wow. And yes I am sharing the video.
I just love watching your videos of Osprey 😊. You capture such dynamic, exciting photos. I appreciate your taking time to review the Z9 for bird photography 😊
Amazing action packed video Mr. Mark as usual , All the images are excellent specially Pelican chasing Osprey fantastic to watch entire video. Love it....
been following you for a while now, never fail to disappoint. Not only in the amazing pictures and video, but the narrating is second to none. Always enjoy your work, thank you for sharing this amazing experience.
Oh man! That was better than any action movie. I always appreciate your lively comments and of course your masterful camera work. Thanks for all that you're doing. Keep up the good work!
Another great video of yours. I love your videos, narrations, your jokes and how real it feels when watching your videos. You give me the reason to get up in cold winter morning and watch these awesome diving birds, so thank you!
My favorite part, all of it! Beautiful work and story telling. Nice to see Nikon back in the game. I know you've had a checkered past with the Nikon 500PF but even though I no longer (for the moment) shoot Nikon, I'm always interested to listen to what professionals like yourself have to say about the tools they use. Keep up the amazing work.
Hello Mark, Thank you so much for some amazing images and video, plus you'r superb commentary and audio description that take this video the a hole new level. Great work. Keep well, keep safe and enjoy your work.
Im blown away by the images in this video. Great narration also. As a hobbyist on a budget I can't yet justify the cost of a z9 and 500pf lens so I need to live vicariously through videos such as this. I greatly appreciate the time and effort that you put into your craft/art.
I love all your videos and eagerly look for each one to appear - but in the run of excellence there are still some videos that stand out as superb. This one is one of those. Great footage, vintage Mark Smith storytelling and the stars of the show, the Osprey. Just brilliant!
Greetings from South Africa....I usually catch your video within a day or posting, but Lens.Traveller, my wife and I ( aka: GONONDO) have been have been away in the Kgalagadi Desert in the Norther Cape.... I heard that they had received unusually heavy rain, so we snuck down there for a week to check things out... It's amazing what somne rain will do to a desert, which was totally transformed into what resembled a Savannah Grassland. The animals were all fat, sleek and gorgeous. We had two cheetah strikes...One where the coalition of 4 brothers took down a Springbok (Medium size anintelope) after a short, high-speed chase, and a few days later, they tried to take out another unsuspecting Springbok, but after a short, hard chase, in 38C heat, theynarrowly missed! I think that antelope is still running now, and it's heart-rate is still way up! The raptor population appeared in good numbers, was also healthy, feasting on a large population of resident rodents, and we even documented a few snakes being attacked, and consumed by a few Pale-chanting Goshawks, and Southern Pale-chanting Goshawks who are masters of the trade, similar to your Osprey popualtion, which was really special etc. Watching your great video now, I think you would have an absolute ball in sub-Saharan Africa, and hope you get some decent action when you do your trip to Africa later this year. Take care, and be safe out there... Best regards Tim
Hey Mark, as always amazing video and photos. You always ask which video or photos is your favorite and my answer is a really can’t pick a favorite. But in this particular video, I say my favorite (like you) is the Pelican trying to eat the Osprey. Unbelievable!!!!! Look forward to your next video.
I really don't know what it is, but every time I've watched Z9 footage, I realized that it just looks incredible dreamy, cinematic with outstanding quality. I guess it's all about the rendering and color science. But need to say that whatever Nikon is doing it just looks amazing.
Absolutely amazing, I am awaiting my Z9, and already use my 500pf on my Z6 and love the images I have managed to capture but can’t wait to try it on my Z9 when it comes, keep the brilliant videos coming.
Mark I do remember your images ever looking this good in the past. Yes you’ve captured amazing video and stills with other systems but this just seems like a step above.thanks!
Fantastic, incredible, I just so much enjoy your videos. I look forward to a video on that Nikon Z9. And maybe your input on that 500pf, which I have and use. Keep them coming please. Dave isler 👍
Thanks again Mark, great work! I had my doubts about the z9 but mine is working better than expected , Af falls apart sometimes against heavy trees but its pretty fast and sticky most of the time, bird behavior is amazing to witness, thanks again for sharing, also congradulations on your love life, I'm happy for you...
Greetings from Connecticut. Everything is awesome these days, but this footage is truly so. I pity the poor photographers who think they can duplicate what you do simply by buying this camera/lens combination, or any other. I'm sure that your level of BIF technique takes years of practice. You are the man.
That was one heck of a video. The last sequence was unbelievable. Looking forward to seeing the video on not so Sharpe images and the reasons why. Still waiting for my Z9. Three months or so and our Osprey and Eagles will be back. Right now it's snow everywhere and around -20.
Mark, of all the video’s I watched from your channel, this is absolutely one of the best! Totally impressed with your compositions, the quality of the Z9 photos and videos, and your ability to tell the story. My Z9 is finally on the way, and, although I aspire to grow to your level, I’ll join the ranks of Z9 pros. Thanks again for all you do, welcome back to Nikon (fan boy here), and looking forward to more of your work! -Bud
Wow - just wow. This is Incredible footage regardless of what brand you use or if you’re a photographer - if you’re in to wildlife then this worth watching for the experience alone
Fantastic video Mark! Just wow on the pelican going for the big prize - Osprey! I just took z9 to Arctic for the foxes. I got mostly sharp images until the foxes went through a series of dead reeds. Lost focus there a bit, but it caught up. Overall I was very happy. I sent my D6, D850 and D500 off for sale with KEH. I feel like Z9 will work for me and encompasses what I need in the 3 other cameras..Used it on my 500 prime F4 and some new Z lenses. See you in WA!!
1 camera, 1 lens, 1 place, 1 time. 1 OUTSTANDING VIDEO!!
You’re a rare talent who combines photographic artistry with brilliant verbal communication. Learning lots and thank you for sharing your passion and fine work with us through UA-cam👍
