- This is part 1 of 3 of my tequila collection. This episode covers the better 1/3 of my tequilas. At the time of this video, my total tequila count stood at 115 (now 145 as of 8/11/12).
As of 8-11-2012, my current bottle count stands at 888 total bottles. I have 540 different ones on the bar & another 348 in back stock. I'm a Certified Specialist of Spirits and I've been actively researching & collecting for the last 18 years. What started as a small basic bar has transformed (with the help & understanding of my wonderful wife) into what I think is a pretty nice collection. Thank you for looking and sharing in my hobby.
Cheers!
hmmm. Do not sleep or pass on the El Tesoro Paradiso regardless of the foil or plastic seal. good stuff! Probably one of the more fresh tasting tequilas I've ever had, but I will be on the look out for the maroon foil seals ;)
Nice collection man. Ive been really enjoying Calende recently. Probably not quite on a level with what you got there. Total Wine is my best source. The phrase "reserva de familia" makes me so happy for some reason.
I feel a buzz from watching this
Cool. Thanks so much for the information!!
Nice collection my man, cool videos! El Espolon in squatty bottles is still excellent. Having a sip watching your reviews.
this is crazy and the coolest thing I have ever seen, lol
In case you haven 't tried the "dos lunas" tequilas, they are great as well. different but great.
No concern with all these open bottles oxidizing?
I,m not an expert like you , but I have tried maybe 40 or 50 different tequilas , my favorite is centenario anejo . It is the only one I want to sip straight up very slowly over ice . Delicious . My question is how do you rank it among your favorites ?
Dudee love the vids. Why don't you expand the parameters and show how for instance you'd have a drink. Would you have it plain would you mix it. Then again glasses. The kind of glasses you'd use. I think it would be very interesting.
Congrats on the fab vids.
Peace
+SuperSayanFitness - I wasn't able to respond directly to you since I believe you commented on my video through Google+ (which made it a "Linked Comment"). Anyway, all spirits can go bad (oxidize) after 6 months to a year. To minimize this I use an argon gas setup to fill all my open bottles. By spraying them with the heavier Argon gas, a blanket is created that separates the spirit from the oxygen trapped in the bottle. This video shows my argon tank and materials needed (at the 10:17 mark): ua-cam.com/video/vGic-_cI5FMB/v-deo.htmly the way, your other comment about it being impossible to breath through your nose and mouth simultaneously was also a "Linked Comment" so I'll answer it here. With practice, it is possible for most people to learn to do it. Once comfortable with doing it, you can even adjust your lip separation to affect the volume intake through the nose. Cheers!
Hey liquor hound, have you ever heard of Don Cosme? I heard it was a good sipping Tequila for the money. What do you think?
+Chris Jordan - I've seen the brand, but haven't had or added the line to my collection. They're supposed to be decent tequilas for that price point ($25-$49), so I'm fairly sure they wouldn't be bad sippers. Cheers!
Ill take Centenario or Don Julio over patron any day.
Reserva de La Familia!!! Is there anything better?
+trexinvert in my top 5 tequila favorites
Would trade or sell any of them??
I've never really thought of it. Cheers!
Jealous!
