My grand grandfather is a German from Russia. He tried to emigrate to the US but couldn't enter the country because he was sick. Then he went to Argentina instead, having there my grandfather and his brothers. Now, I live in Brazil and it is very nice to see my heritage.

*Question:* Which country is located between Norway and Korea?
About Russian Culture and Education (Сommunication):
The education system of Russia is based on the Russian national culture, with influences from Europe/Asia: Russia, Germany, Poland, Italy, France, the Caucasus, Central Asia, Turkey, Persia (Iran), India, and China. The rich Russian culture is the best school (basic) education system in the world: Russian classical music, Russian classical literature, classical poetry, architecture, art, choreography (science, philosophy, economics, trade), etc. The Russian educational system was founded with the help of the Russian Cultural Renaissance of the 19th century, when Europe was experiencing a cultural decline but Russia had geniuses like Tchaikovsky, Glinka, Tolstoy, Pushkin, Lermontov, Chekhov, Dostoevsky, and Aivazovsky. They raised Russian culture to unattainable heights.
*Leo Tolstoy - War and Peace* (Nikolay Rostov, Pavlogradsky Hussar Regiment attacks to French infantry) *lpHLr5-zpx8*
_Having delayed the enemy and thus ensured the success of the retreat of the main forces of the Russian army, the detachment hastily retreated into the darkness after the end of the battle. During the retreat, the Russians repelled the last French attack. Despite the fact that the wounded were ordered to stay, many of them trailed behind the troops and asked for permission to lie down on the guns. Among them was a young Hussar, who, supporting his arm with his other hand, approached Captain Tushin and asked permission to sit on the cannon. "Captain," he said hesitantly, "I have a concussion. I can't walk anymore. Please let me sit down." It was Rostov, he was trembling with fever.. He was placed on the cannon from which the dead officer had just been thrown. There was blood on the officer's tunic, it stained Rostov's trousers and uniform. His injured arm hurt terribly, and snow began to fall from the dark sky. Rostov fell asleep for a minute, but during this short period of sleep he saw his house, a fluffy fur coat, a fast sleigh and felt the love and care of his family. - Why did I come here? He thought about it. Rostov was twenty years old, and this was his first fight._

_Patient: I want to listen to Tchaikovsky's "Pas de deux"_
_Doctor: But the "Pas de deux" lasts 5 minutes!_
_God (from above): No problem, I'll wait._
      So... Volga Russians:
*Preview:* Russia, Middle Volga river, Togliatti city, Municipal Language Gymnasium № 38, First School Day Ceremony *bZGNqLHlrXM* Headmaster: "We believe in all you! We are proud of all you! We very much love you all!"
Most Russians live in the European part of Russia (>70%). About 77% of them are ethnic Russians, and over 60 million people live in the Volga river basin area, which includes Finno-Ugric peoples (Finns, Estonians), Baltic people (Lithuanians), Slavic peoples (Russians, Ukrainians, Poles, Belarusians), Iranian peoples (Persians and Caucasians), Turkic peoples (Ottoman Empire: most are Balkans and Greeks, Golden Horde: most are Tatars and Chuvashes), and Germanic peoples (Volga Germans: mostly Lutherans, Catholics, Mennonites from Germany, Holland, Austria, etc). Nowadays, it is very mixed and Russified. The ancient migrations were from the North - Baltic to Volga, South - Caspian Sea to Volga, East - Eurasian Steppe to Volga, West - Central and South Europe to Volga. The dominant anthropological phenotype is Depigmented Volgid.
The Volga is the biggest river in Europe and it splits Europe's part of Russia down the middle. On average, it's about two kilometers wide, but near Togliatti it's five kilometers. If you swim downstream from Togliatti, it will be twenty kilometers - like a main transport artery for Eastern Europe! The Moscow region is also part of the Volga basin.
      Togliatti Embankment *nR4L9opHXlI*
History: Togliatti City, the old name is "Stavropol on the Volga" until 1964, was founded by military Orthodox ethnic Kalmyks who accepted Russian citizenship and served in the Russian Empire's military as part of the Stavropol fortress - "Stavro Polis"(Greek language), the City of the Cross, against the raiding parties of wild nomads.
*Real Russia/Provincial Russia,* Middle Volga river, Volga Federal District, Togliatti city (population 685,619 people, ethnic composition: ethnic Russians 87%, Tatars 4%, Ukrainians 2%, Mordovians 1.5%, Chuvashs 1.5%. Other ethnic groups include ethnic Germans (Volga Germans), Poles, Jews and Koreans, who make up less than 0.5% of the total population. Assimilation has affected these ethnic groups and they now identify as ethnic Russians, losing their original ethnic identities.

The practical mind is the interaction of the Central and Peripheral nervous systems.
It has been scientifically proven that effective brain activity is interconnected with motor movement of the body. Russia has strong choreographic and sporting traditions, and Russians lead in sports such as gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, ice skating, synchronized swimming, and classical ballet.

PS: 50% of Russian citizens have light eyes and light hair - about 77 million people out of 154 million Russians (without Ukraine and Belarus). Russia is the only country in the world where the number of people with light eyes and blonde hair is increasing due to a reverse drift of recessive genes.
The body adapts to extremely low temperatures by changing the shape of the bones of the face to reduce heat transfer from the face (the face becomes streamlined, like a wind tunnel). Cheekbones become larger and higher, maxillary sinuses increase, reducing the bones around the eyes (sub-Asian eyes), chin becomes more pointed, shape of nose and jaw change. Ears are also modified to protect against frostbite and sometimes earlobes merge with cheeks. Skin (eyes and hair) loses pigment, skin of face becomes "velvety", protective fat layer. Rudimentary epicanthuses (or sub-Asian eyes) in primary school children disappear completely when they reach adulthood.
50% of the world's most fertile soils (black soils) are located in Russia. 75% of Russia's population lives on the most fertile soil in the world - this is the highest percentage in the world.
Currently, 1 million Russian Germans live in Russia and the republics of the former USSR, as well as 3 million citizens who are of German origin but have lost their German self-identification, most of them are Volga Germans.
Song "Volga, Volga river" (to Russian) *XkIJ1sDQMHI*
Russian folk rock "River-Sea" (Volga) *-_7wXpUfQUs* ("We are always looking for the way home, but only how do we find out where our house is. How do we know who we are? But only the "River-Sea" - My Homeland knows everything about Us")

I am not certain how many Germans from North Dakota are familiar with the history of the Klukstalers . I have a video that talks about this group of Germans. My grandparents were of this group. My grandfather built two churches in the Truman, MN area which are still being used today. I found out that the farm was the oldest farm still in the original family name, Zinke. I still have relatives in the Truman area. Thank you for the many videos you have and thank you for the history of the prairie church. My grandfather moved from Truman to a small farm north of Brush Lake, North Dakota where he homesteaded his last farm.

My grandfather was Russian German, and was forced into the Russian Army. He went AWOL after 2 weeks, and they sold their farm and came to the United States in 1913, on a sister ship to the Titanic called the Celtic with a set of my father's grandparents and some of their extended family. They settled in Fresno California.

Thank you for posting about the German Russians. My great granny 's mom was a German Russian that was sent to America by her parents, to stay with family. From what I understand her folks and siblings never made it to America. I don't know any of her Nebraska family so that part of my ancestory is lousy to me. All I can do is learn about the people as a group. and what few records I can find to paint me a picture. Videos like this are amazing!

My great-great grandparents came from Ubermunjor in 1876 via the Hamburg-Bremen line). They settled in Munjor, Kansas.
It’s sad that none of these colonies remain along the Volga. I didn’t see any remains on Google Maps.
I emailed the Catholic Bishop of Munich a few years ago whether he knew if there are records left in Russia about my ancestors. He’s also the Bishop of Saratov. He actually understood my broken German. Unfortunately, he told me he didn’t know.

During the worst of Stalin's paranoia, Volga Germans were expelled from their lands to eastern lands (Siberia, Kazakhstan...) on suspicion that they may be potential collaborators. Many were killed and even some Russians were persecuted just because they had a German name. For instance the father of the great pianist Sviatoslav Richter, Teofil Danilovich who was son of a German immigrant and a Russian mother, was music professor in Odessa, was shot just (the usual accusation of espionage) because he had a German name.

At the 7:25 mark you talk about how all the religious groups were exempt from people joining the Russian army (one of the perks of coming to Russia) That's true, they were originally exempt but then the special privileges they had eventually were taken away.
