Awesome, keep those videos coming. The beauty of air rifles is that they are quite. I really can't shoot my cz457 in my backyard and practice but then again I don't have 100y to practice nrl.22 either lol. Here's the beauty to the Nay sayers on air rifles in .22nrl matches? You have a choice and you can own both!

Dang that wind looked tough! Looks like a lot of competitions had difficulty with the this month.
Yeah I saw a lot of really good shooters struggle yesterday in that. I did NOT shoot my best, any misses I own. But damn, I'll take a 3rd place any day with a new gun I've never shot in competition before (and which is not really designed for positional shooting in the first place)!

Thanks for noticing! That pillow backpack, while yes, it does contain a pillow, it also contains my father's 1993 paralympic games sweater. Even though quadriplegic, my father, only a few years after his spinal cord injury, was racking up gold medals for swimming all over the world.

I've been thinking about trying my .30 Delta Wolf for NRL22. Main thing holding me back is fitting it in the pyramid. Looks like it's semi-doable as long as you stay out of the middle part. And I made a similar pump pillow from a 9 liter roll top dry bag.
And good job on the barrel/buckets stage. I think I shot a 2 on that stage today, couldn't get stable to save my life.
Yeah dude almost anything other than the P-cat is gonna be too tall to fit inside the pyramid rungs or in between a chair back. The Panthera is obviously the preeminent rifle for NRL22 style shooting.
Thanks for your nice comment. I actually cleaned that and the previous stage in my first January COF this month, with the Panthera. Also I'm big dumb and labeled that I got a 5 on the pyramid stage in this video when it was actually a 6. Still poopy, though....

Thanks, king! It depends on the purpose and what you consider long range. My money's on the FX Panthera or Dynamic for sure. But the Krait is NO SLOUCH!
so in that price range I love the look of the FX King, pretty much three of the same rifle with different names.@@airshootist
@@TheRforestr The King is dope, and not just because it's what I like to call random dudes on the internet! It shares the same Dynamic block that the Panthera and Dynamic rifles use. Best platform in airguns today in my opinion. If you like the wood stock look, Airmaks also makes a Krait with a wood stock. Might be worth checking out, too, if you're more into bullpup rifles.
Looking to shoot 200 plus yards. Thought the Katran X HP would be good but I am told the FX King 600 mm is a tack driver, so probably less risky than the Airmaks in terms of satisfaction and performance? @@airshootist

Thanks king (or queen?). People were making negative comments about that here and on the forum. I feel bad for anyone who has such bad taste in music that they would complain about De La Soul, especially when the song was "Stakes is High" and fit perfectly for the situation - that being me risking my 1st place standings to give this gun a try.

At 10:50 home boys got 10 weights on his panny! God damn that things gotta be heavy with the amount of money he spent on those weights he could’ve bought the k&L or saber tactical arca front end holly molly !
He indeed does have a K&L rail on that gun. And yes, his rifle is incredibly heavy.

Hehe, I've yet to put it on a scale. But it balances as well as any competition rimfire, and probably weighs about the same. Fewer weights required with the saber rail, but the K&L is a better design.
@@zer0dev yeah, I’ve got the saber and it’s extremely heavy without weights I do wish the mounting method was similar to the k&L but I think what happened was when I seen your set up I couldn’t believe how heavy it looked but Its probably because I have the saber one and I can’t imagine ten external weights on it I would die or break my ergo grip or something trying to pick it up it’s literally that heavy haha
Yep when I had the ST rail I think I only had 4 weights to get the same balance? The ST rail is waaayyy heavier than the K&L. I don't want to guess at the numbers, but look it up. The ST rail also extends a bit further, so to get the same balance you need more weight, unfortunately.
Grouping with zan slugs 28 grain 150 yards. How is the grouping size, how many inches are not shown. This time too, it is not clear whether the shots were shot in the sky, in the air, or on the mountains.
You need to be more patient, homie! Lol. It's winter. I'm not doing full reviews of guns until it's at least 45°F outside. Reviewing guns in the cold is not very fair to the gun.
As far as the target sizes here, simply look up the NRL22 January COF and you will find the exact MOA/MIL for each target in the stage breakdowns.
@@airshootistI have been waiting for a long time. You give me suggestion. 150 yards grouping 4 cm / 1.5 inches with krait x, 28 grain zan slugs what fps is needed.

965-985fps is what I am running them at. I don't think you'll get 1.5 inches at 150 yards, though. You might get close but you will need perfect conditions.
Man o man , if that krait was slimmer and had a tactical stock, that would be a great starter rifle for nrl.22 matches.
